Serena was informed about her husband's suspicious death by the individual from royal forces. The royal forces had made a query to the Arista family head, to which Keol Arista admitted the absence of his subordinate.

Just when Serena had believed that this was it, then she was called by the king. She knew it would be something related to Scheta, and indeed the king had called her to inform and console her for the murder of her husband. But the king was not very serious about consoling her. Instead, he kept looking at her with nefarious eyes.

It was obvious that the king was not a good man, but to lustfully look at the widow? Serena felt disgusted by him.

She could feel that the king had his perverted eyes stuck on her curvy bottom as she walked out of the room she was invited to. Serena was not alone in the room with the king, there was another noble named Oliver beside Serena and the King.

Although Serena felt sad about the incident, it did not affect her much. She respectfully bowed to the king before leaving.

"Why did the queen look that stiff when she entered?" Selena, the veiled lady asked Lucas in confusion.

"How would I know? Wasn't it you who brought that man? Also, you are the one closer to both the queen and that man." Lucas replied with an annoyed tone.

He was just a swordsman who was wary of the stranger, his hands were on his sword, prepared to attack in an instance.

As Lucas and Selena were discussing the strange behavior exhibited by the queen, the door to the room opened, signaling that the private conversation was complete. Both of them stared at the door, looking at the queen and Rae coming out of the door.

"I would be going then. To meet him." Rae walked away from the queen after informing her about the next step in his mission.

He was not much interested in ruling the kingdom after getting to know that the highest power in the kingdom were only level four.

As for the probability of a level five existing but not acting out? Rae did not care about it because he was not going to kill the king or anything.

The request from the queen was to just bring the majority of power on her side. She just wanted the authority to make decisions in the kingdom, for the kingdom.

'I am here so, I might as well check it out.' Rae thought, curious about the type of demon he would be able to find in the palace.

'Would he be a vampire like me? The ability to take people in control sounds something a vampire would be able to do with ease.' Rae thought as he proceeded to head towards the King's side of palace.

He knew that the power he had awakened from his demon bloodline was very easily able to enslave people, something which the queen suspected the king to be a victim of.

'Though, I am curious how he was able to get so many of those nobles under him. I felt that it was difficult to fully control Ekaros but that guy seems to have done it to many nobles.' It was not difficult for Rae to get the secrets out from Ekaros but when Rae tried to fully brainwash the guy into being a loyal follower, it was very difficult.

Rae had tried to enslave Ekaros with his power but it did not seem to work, and Ekaros was resisting his absolute rule.

'Oh? I see him. His energy fluctuations seems really intense, very similar to my energy.' As Rae reached the king's side of palace, he saw a familiar face, Serena, going out of the palace in a carriage.

But that was not the spot where the intense feeling was coming from.

A shrewd looking guy with a polite smile on the room with a potbellied man, Oliver, was emitting the demon like energy.

"Who are you young man? How did you get here?" Oliver asked as he saw Rae walking towards him.

He was planning to subdue the Earl Serena who had just left. His mood was quite good, able to get such an opportunity. Even though his life had pretty harsh, he had been having quite the fun these last few years.

Thanks to the demon he had made a bond with, he was able to influence the target and pretty much control and manipulate their memories.

In the beginning, Oliver was very cautious, only using it on some subordinates and minor nobles. This brought him immense authority and power, but then one day, he was in a deadly situation, two very powerful opponents had targeted him.

Unable to get out of the predicament on his own, he decided to get the help from demon, the demon managed to subdue the opponents with ease but in exchange for the help, he allowed the demon to be connected with his body, Oliver's own body.

Otherwise, the demon in his current state would not have been able to defeat the opponents, Oliver's body as a host was necessary for their survival, allowing the demon to stick to him.

The demon promised Oliver that he would leave the body once the demon recovers enough of his strength.

As for how the demon would recover it's strength? Well, it was by absorbing the blood essence of humans, the blood essence of powerful ones like nobles.

Oliver's body and strength were good enough to sustain the demon but not enough to recover to peak. So, the demon suggested making connections with various organizations, the good kind, the bad kind, the influential kind before finally going to the royal palace, the place with many warriors in one place, and many resources too, to finally help the demon recover its strength.
