Chapter 466: Chapter 466: This is the God Hunter
“It’s okay, I’ll talk about it later; after everyone gets up, we’ll eat together.”
“Right, you hardly slept at all last night. Have you thought of a rough route for us to take now?”
“Basically, I’ve pretty much figured it out, and we can just take this path up today.”
As he spoke, he pointed to a small path behind the jungle.
Because it was very late when they arrived here yesterday, the weather outside was a bit hazy, so he hadn’t noticed that there was a trail at this place.
This path looked somewhat rugged, and indeed, it appeared to be quite steep.
“Is this the mountain road we’re taking?”
“Yes, this place should be passable, and if we go from here, we should reach the summit of this peak. Then we can overlook everything.”
“Good, your plan sounds solid. When the time comes, we’ll just go through here.”
“Bro, you guys are up.”
Just then, Hei Lang came out from inside, stretching languorously.
“Ling’er, you’re up too.”
It was indeed a coincidence. Just as he stepped out of the tent, he saw Ling’er coming out too, and both of them made the same motion.
“Ling’er, how’s your injury now? Does it still hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore, no problem now.”
After saying this, Ling’er just smiled faintly and then flexed her hand.
It seemed that her motor functions had not been restricted in any way.
Relieved by this, Ling’er felt that the efforts she had made before were not wasted.
“Alright, since everyone’s awake, let’s hurry to get some food to come back with. And Hei Lang, pack up the tent.”
“Oh, right, Brother, about the game we caught last night, how are we handling it today?”
“Game?”
After a night’s rest, Lin Yi seemed to have gradually forgotten about it.
“Yes, the game. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about it?”
“Hey, if you hadn’t mentioned it, I really might not have remembered, right, right, I remember now. Indeed, there was such a thing. So, did you really bring it back?”
“Of course, I just put it on this side of the tent, come, I’ll get it for you.”
While speaking, he walked over and then went around to the other side of the tent.
The hunter frowned doubtfully and then looked at Lin Yi.
“Game? What game? Did you encounter any danger after I went out last night?”
“Yes, we found a monster in the bushes, but thankfully it didn’t attack us. Then, for safety sake, we shot it dead.”
“Shot it dead?”
“Oh, no, no, it wasn’t really shot dead, more like it was knocked out. Right now, it should still be unconscious.”
“What kind of thing was it?”
“Can’t say for sure. When I first saw it, it seemed like some kind of hedgehog, but on closer inspection, it looked a bit different from a hedgehog.”
“You mean it had spikes like a hedgehog, but was bigger than a hedgehog, right?”
“Well, not just a bit bigger, but significantly larger. Come here, take a look.”
Just then, Hei Lang was seen dragging a large canvas bag over from the other side.
“Wow, this thing is really quite heavy. If we had killed it, there would be enough meat to last us a few days.”
As he spoke, Hei Lang dropped the canvas bag on the ground.
The group quickly approached, then bent down to take a look.
The creature inside did indeed seem enormous.
And normally, game isn’t this large.
But compared to what they had encountered in the cave before, it probably wouldn’t be as huge.
After seeing this, the hunter became even more apprehensive.
So, he quickly took a couple of steps back.
“All of you, step back.”
“What? Step back? It doesn’t have any combat power now. We should be fine surrounding it here. It was just me who stuffed it into the bag yesterday, right?”
Clearly, Hei Lang didn’t understand, and he didn’t grasp what this stepping back meant.
“No, what I mean is, under the current circumstances, we can’t just wait here, especially since we don’t know if it still has any attack power.”@@novelbin@@
“I guess there shouldn’t be any problem. I didn’t notice anything like that when I observed it yesterday.”
“Better safe than sorry. Step back a bit further for safety. I have a lot of experience dealing with such creatures. Come on, let me handle it.”
After saying this, the hunter pulled out his hunting rifle, adopted a cautious posture, and held it close to his chest.
Seeing this, Lin Yi understood that it was all for the best and said nothing.
He just moved his body back a bit.
“Alright, let’s follow his advice and move back a bit. That way we can keep ourselves safe.”
Ling’er and Hei Lang followed suit, retreating a couple of steps back.
Then, the hunter gradually bent down and opened the canvas bag.
Inside it seemed dark, as if there was something there, but it was unclear what it was for.
The hunter took out a sharp knife from his backpack, and then carefully slit the canvas bag open.
“Hey, that’s mine.”
Hei Lang seemed somewhat distressed by this.
In these circumstances, he hadn’t wanted to damage the canvas bag, especially since finding a canvas bag in these deep woods was not easy.
Watching it being cut open, he truly felt reluctant.
“Well, it’s just a bag. Let it go, and besides, he’s doing it for safety’s sake. The way you packed it yesterday was indeed a bit reckless.”
What do you think?
