"The formation is unravelling!" One of the Immortals shouted.

Kunlun immediately sprang into action when the undead started to appear out of nowhere. The fact that someone was brazen enough to attack Kunlun even if it was at night is something that does not happen often. There is a silent agreement in Kunlun that no one should cause any commotion, and your identity will not be deeply probed in return.

The sudden appearance of undead and even attacking other people in their vicinity enraged the alliance that kept Kunlun's peace. All of the Corpse Cultivators were apprehended for questioning and all of them told the alliance that it was Mu Gou that created this mess. The Corpse Cultivators even helped the alliance in finding where Mu Gou is, and they arrived at a perfectly laid out formation.

All of them found the formation and wanted to break it but it was perfectly laid out. Even if they attacked it with their strength, it would take at least half an hour to dismantle. Mu Gou is actually a cultivator that is at the peak of the Core Formation stage and is almost at the Nascent Soul stage. If she perfectly creates the formation, then she might exhibit the strength of a Nascent Soul stage Immortal.

The fact that her formation is unravelling is quite a shock as the formation expert that they have told them that it was just activated about twenty minutes ago. If the formation is getting destroyed early, then that can only mean one of two things. The one that created the formation and maintaining it has died or the one that created it no longer has any use for the formation.

When the entire formation got destroyed, a shocking scene appeared before all the Immortals that are present. They could see another Immortal that pierced Mu Gou's heart with a spear, but the former is also killed as well. A large hole could be seen on the chest of the Immortal guard, and he stood there dying as he fulfilled his duty.

The other guard that has large shields could be seen heavily injured. The nobles that are their employers are also slightly injured but not in any danger. Mu Gou wanted to resist but she could no longer do anything or even warn them of what happened. She died because of her pride and greed that she let swallow her whole.

"Check the perimeter! There might be a catalyst that can still create the undead! Take care of the injured nobles and the guard as well!" The leader of the alliance guards shouted.

As soon as the guard shouted, the body of the Immortal that defeated Mu Gou suddenly dropped to the ground before returning to the ground. The body of Mu Gou, on the other hand, just fell to the ground. The shocked faces of all the people could be seen as his was the first time they have seen an Immortal literally return to the ground.

"Guard Kongxu!" Peridot shouted in great pain and her acting was top tier.

"Do not get close." Levin Cloud stated as he pretended to hold back Peridot, but he was having a bit of trouble as her strength stat was higher than his own.

"Please rest. Guard Kongxu sacrificed his life for us. Do not go and endanger yourself when he made e sure you are safe." Levin Cloud stated as he did the neck chop.

Peridot suddenly went limp as she faked being knocked unconscious. Kabrakan just looked down as he did not want to suddenly burst out laughing at the antics that they are doing. Levin Cloud carried Peridot on his back once again. A small black dog could be seen following right next to them.

"Lord Firefeather, there is a hound behind you!" The leader of the alliance guard exclaimed.

"This is a beast that contracted with us. He suddenly came out when we were in danger even though it is still just a child. His sense of duty must have activated when we were in danger." Levin Cloud replied.

"Can you give us a statement of what happened? We could do it after both of you have already fully rested and tended to." The leader of the alliance guards stated.

"The three of us are not as injured because it was Guard Kongxu that protected us in his dying breath. He was an Immortal that was nearing the end of his life as he only has about three decades to live but he burned all of that just to protect us. We will need to do burial rites for him as a way to honor his sacrifice. Also, I know why they might have attacked us as she was practically raging about it when she trapped us." Levin Cloud stated.

"Why did Mu Gou trap all you insider her formation? She even created numerous undead to make sure that no one comes here to destroy it." The leader of the alliance guards asked.

"She thought that we have a spatial artifact with us. She must have sensed the spatial energy in this box that I am currently carrying." Levin Cloud stated clearly.

"If it is a spatial artifact then it is incredibly tempting." The leader of the alliance guards exclaimed in shock as spatial artifacts are indeed rare.

"It is not a spatial artifact though. I guess the spatial energy just got etched on the box as it was a bit defective." Levin Cloud replied.

"I see. She attacked you when it is not a spatial artifact." The leader of the alliance guards stated but even he already knows of this rumor as the beggar sect has been spreading this information.

"It is not a spatial artifact but an unbound teleportation scroll of the legendary tier. It was gifted to us by demons for conducting business with them." Levin Cloud's statement sent chills on all of the Immortals that heard it as it was a treasure more important than a spatial artifact.
