Chapter 528: Chapter 437: The Six True Words, Receiving Compensation_2

The brief battle between the two was indeed terrifying once the Silver Demon Bird reverted to its true form, shaking the townspeople to their core.
These residents of the small town had never witnessed such a sight, and were all trembling with fear in their homes. Now that the commotion outside had ceased, they mustered the courage to see the outcome for themselves.
The Silver Demon Bird had vanished, and there stood the smiling monk, alone on the desolate street.
Seeing this result, the townspeople let out a sigh of relief.
Though the might of Ban Poluo was unfathomable, his appearance was most appealing, lacking any sense of oppressive arrogance. Instead, he was enveloped in a glowing aura, his skin exuding a gleaming freshness, that upon approach, evoked a desire to worship him as if basking in the warmth of spring.
An elder, resembling the village chief and leaning on a cane, made his way to Ban Poluo with a trembling gait and a sincere face, “Thank you, noble monk, for subduing the demon. Please stay, so we may extend our hospitality.”
“People like me who consider the Four Seas their home prefer not to impose too long,” Ban Poluo said with a smile, reaching out to steady the elder about to prostrate.
Then he pressed a finger to the elder’s forehead, leaving behind a golden lotus-shaped mark.
The elder felt a sudden lightness in his body, his face brimming with joy.
“I take my leave,” said Ban Poluo, bringing his hands together and uttering “Amitabha.”
Before the surrounding people could react, his figure had suddenly disappeared.
The villagers watched the golden lotus mark on the elder’s forehead with curiosity and envy.
Before they could decipher the mystery of the mark, the lotus abruptly bloomed, scattering light outward. In an instant, everyone covered by the light could not utter a word; their bodies split apart, turning into countless grey dust particles that dissipated.
Whoosh!
A cold wind blew through the mountains.
Stirring up dust, it swept through the deserted town.
All that remained were eerie howls echoing around, casting a creepy sensation of barrenness.
…
…
…
Blood Realm;
Su Heng concluded a day of cultivation.
He had just refined and absorbed the Spiritual Medicine he ingested, using it as nourishment to transform himself further.
Just as he intended to step outside for a bit, he suddenly felt a breeze-like ripple glide over his skin.
Thump!
Su Heng’s stepping foot hung in mid-air.
At first startled, he then realized what had just happened, and a smile flickered across his face.
Draping a black cloak from a nearby rack over his shoulders, Su Heng changed direction, pushed open a large door behind him, and exited the solemn temple. Outside was a spacious terrace built of white marble, with a landscape that combined flowers and fountains, flanked by white columns draped with curtains.
Beside the flower garden.
The Ming Daoist had been waiting.
Upon seeing Su Heng, his expression unchanged, he nodded slightly in greeting.
Su Heng approached the Ming Daoist’s side, peering through the railing to observe the turbulent clouds converging above and the vast parched lands of the Blood Realm. The blood-red soil was devoid of life, scattered with bones, and plumes of dense smoke rose from the fissures into the dark, misty sky.
“I sensed it earlier; it seems like the new World Will has been successfully nurtured,” Su Heng said quietly, shifting his gaze away from the distant sky.
“Indeed,” the Ming Daoist nodded.
“There were some setbacks, but overall, things have gone smoothly.”
After a brief pause, the Ming Daoist added, “The emergence of the World Will is quite rare, and any insights could be beneficial to our own cultivation.”
“Is that so.”
Su Heng nodded, and they both fell silent.
Above the Blood Realm, the sky was dotted with colossal vortices, appearing as if malevolent giants were peering down from above.
These vortices were the result of the constantly present Chaos Streams within the Eternal Sky. Without the barrier of a complete World Will, the realm itself could be torn asunder by these streams, like a wooden boat engulfed by surging waves.
And now…
As Li Hongxiu’s consciousness replaces that of the World Will.

These oil painting-like enormous vortexes gradually became dim, and then further distanced themselves.
In such circumstances, the sky of the Blood Realm, though still elusive without the sun and covered in a murky haze, was indeed much better than before. In just over a month, hundreds of Martial Artists had gone mad from gazing at the sky, causing considerable losses to Su Heng. The likelihood of such occurrences would now greatly decrease.
Boom!
A loud noise followed shortly after.
Mount Tambora erupted, but this time the eruption was not violent.
Great amounts of volcanic ash poured out from the vast opening, filling the sky, then fell like a hazy curtain of rain, sprinkling onto the parched land. The boiling poison fires in the ground fissures subsided, and immediately, clear springs gushed forth. The water mingled with the ash rich in inorganic matter, and in the blink of an eye, vast tracts of fertile fields appeared underfoot.
“Truly remarkable…”
Witnessing this scene, Su Heng couldn’t help but click his tongue in admiration.
He could easily destroy a world now, turning it into a wasteland, but he lacked the ability to rejuvenate barren land like Li Hongxiu.
“Can those strong beings in the Realm Lord Realm do the same within their own Daoist Fields?” Su Heng couldn’t help but inquire.
After a moment’s thought, the Ming Daoist said, “Perhaps you could ask Ji Huaxi.”
“That makes sense.” Su Heng leaned against the wall beside him.
“However, even if the strong ones of the Realm Lord Realm are capable of vastly altering the environment within their Daoist Fields, they probably would not do so lightly,” the Ming Daoist added.
After some contemplation, Su Heng quickly grasped the key point.
For a strong being in the Realm Lord Realm, their own Daoist Field and Dao Path are closely interconnected.
The environment within is also carefully designed; any rash change could at best harm the Dao Path, and at worst, possibly lead to a fall from their current realm.
Thinking of this, Su Heng couldn’t help but feel a bit contemptuous.
Drawing power from the realm of immortality certainly allowed one to break through limits, but that came with far too many restrictions.
Indeed, the true broad avenue had to be excavated from within oneself.
Wharrr!
After the volcanic eruption, dark clouds never gathered.
First came lightning and thunder, followed by gusty winds sweeping over the wilderness, bringing cool water vapor.
In a brief moment, large droplets of rain fell from the sky like beaded curtains, and the whole world was enshrouded in the persistent sound of rain. Below the temple was a newly established district teeming with Cultivators. The Blood Realm was rich in resources, but its environment was extremely harsh.
Most people were on edge.
Now, seeing the rain descend from the sky, soothing coolness enveloped their whole bodies.
Their taut nerves relaxed all at once, and instead of seeking shelter from the rain indoors, they walked the streets shouting joyfully.
Swoosh!
With a flash of light,
Su Heng turned to look and saw Li Hongxiu’s ghost-like figure gently appearing in the corner.
“Well done.” Su Heng let out a soft sigh, and then his voice became much softer as he asked, “How do you feel?”
Li Hongxiu looked perplexed, and after some time, her clear pupils gradually focused, reflecting Su Heng’s figure, “Although I’ve lost some things, I feel better than ever before.”
Whoosh!
A gust of wind blew past.
Hair on Su Heng and the Ming Daoist fluttered.
But Li Hongxiu’s robe and hair remained as they were, though lifelike, in reality, it was just a bodiless projection.
“Is that so? That’s good,” Su Heng said thoughtfully.
Li Hongxiu spoke earnestly, “If Algres were to come again, I now should have the strength to drive him out.”
“Is that so?” Su Heng smiled.
He wanted to tell Li Hongxiu she didn’t need to put too much pressure on herself.
But indeed, Li Hongxiu had helped Su Heng solve a big problem and had even brought some unexpected surprises.
In that case…
It was time to consider reclaiming his “compensation.”
