Overpowered Wizard

Chapter 269: B3: C59:  Para La Familia 2

After seeing one of Bianca’s newest skills, These Boots Are Made For Dazzling, Zarian was trying not to crack up and laugh when he exited the void.

Of course she would get a skill like that! he thought.

It’s fabulous! Para shared.

Zarian landed somewhere near a watering well at the center of a northern island village. Bianca had told him to meet her there through the spider network. Usually, he would’ve gotten here ahead of everyone else because of Void Waltz.

However, Bianca had gotten here first. She was already strutting around in her summoned boots, facing paladins who were refusing to bow to her damn near divine might.

“Die, accursed witch!” shouted a male paladin, eyes wincing at the brightness of Bianca’s footwear. “I will not yield to your trickery or false light! I have the power of the Good Gods on my side!”

He was a Level 75 Stalwart Inquisitor facing a Level 113 Radiant Queen Master. The difference in level and power was so staggering, Zarian almost felt sad for the paladin non-ranker.

Still, the man was attempting to incite his fellow village-razing zealots to attack Bianca who shone like the miniature sun in the middle of the chaos.

Zarian saw broken walls, busted homes, and blood in every spot where low-level striders had fallen to the weapons and magic of the invading paladins.

“Whelp, looks like it’s time for someone to get their Fuck-Around-and-Find-Out award,” Zarian said.

Bianca pointed her finger into the air. She bent all the nearest lights to the point of her finger. Consequently, the air darkened with her hungry-light gathering technique.

Zarian felt chills passed through his body, more so from excitement than shock. The darkened air made him feel greater.

His Overwhelming Darkness was fully sealed. But he could feel the inky blot in his soul stir at Bianca’s sudden play in light and darkness.

The paladins didn’t appreciate what Bianca could do. They saw it as something belonging to the damned of Hidden Hell.

The Level 75, who was in charge of two hundred paladins between the Level 60s and 30s, tried to attack Bianca. The paladins behind the Level 75 tossed at her bolts and crescents of holy magic. More paladins rushed her with shields raised and melee weapons cocked before swinging.

They all missed. They couldn’t seem to hit her even when all she did was move very little with a dancer’s grace.

Her boots traced bright and glittery lines of light that were white at the center and tinted rainbow on the edges wherever she moved. With her finger tip remaining raised, she continued absorbing more and more light from around the village and further beyond.

Now she was acquiring light from the neighboring island villages, deepening the darkness, making everything feel chilly and without the warmth of the one and a half suns. Zarian’s amazement grew along with the power he felt from the darkness Bianca created as a byproduct.

At that point, she finally revealed the truth of another new ability. It was a skill she’d made from combining Searing Flash Array +3, Refraction +3, and Light Construction +3, which was probably her most powerful creation yet:

<Resplendent Lantern Magic (Level 8): Create, direct, bend, manipulate, solidify light from any source, whether that’s your own or what’s around you. As a resplendent lantern, all facets of light are yours to wield even on the shiniest days or darkest nights. Scales doubly with Wonder.>

“Holy fuck,” Zarian cussed. “She has a skill that has double scaling just like you, Para. Amazing.”

“You spoke too soon,” Para said from the surrounding air. “There is more.”

Zarian’s closest companion was right. Bianca had just sent some more descriptions through the spider network. The information nearly floored Zarian as much as the paladins who kept tripping over themselves and failing to strike Bianca.

She’d received a mythical trait by selecting Radiant Queen from her Second Class Advancement. It was as stupidly OP as a mythical trait should be.

<Unrestrained Radiance (Mythical): When using abilities that affect your radiance, you can get +400% to Wonder for a specific maneuver followed by a short cooldown. Your Wonder is naturally +100% stronger for merely being radiant in either power or attitude.>

She had another new trait that was powerful on her. It had come from combining Overcomer (Epic), Hellish Endurance (Rare), and Good Meditation (Rare):

<Lesser Nirvana Warrioress (Legendary): Through peace and happiness, you can overcome many hurdles. Your physical endurance, magical endurance, skill efficiency, overall recovery, and the ease of use with your alignment is set at +25% for merely existing. You can push this to +50% when you strive for a state of peace and happiness even while under incredible pressure.>

Then there was the reason Bianca felt so regal and queenly other than having a class called Radiant Queen. She also had a trait to back it up. But this trait had gone through multiple steps to becoming what it was now.

First, Bianca had combined Wondrous Princess Regality (Epic), Feathery Grace (Uncommon), Shining Hope (Rare) to make a legendary trait called Princess Mastery. Then, just recently, after a tremendous battle with some corrupted +1s, Bianca advanced the legendary trait on her own.

Thus, Princess Mastery became something even greater.

<Queen Virtuosity (Mythical): Your regal, charming, dazzling, and nearly godly existence reaches across the lands and affects many peoples. You resplendent and extremely unlikely to face reproach or harm. Thus, your presence boosts the Willpower, Strength, and Wonder of those you bless with your mythical grace. You also get an incredible bonus of +150% to Agility, Wonder, and Mysticism while using this trait.>

The moment Zarian read the description of Queen Virtuosity, Bianca graced him with her queenly and virtuous blessing. The difference became immediate for his stats.

Again, Zarian was nearly floored. His Willpower and Wonder shot up the most. His Strength went up considerably, but it didn’t compare to the other two stats that were part of his primary focuses.

Para definitely felt a vast difference from the mythical soft buff to Willpower. The Parasite Phantom ballooned in size, power, and reach to where it was hard for her to remain completely invisible.

She struggled to not pluck up and consume the little paladins who unknowingly moved and fought while inside of Para’s immense reach. Every toss, bolt, stream, and swing of holy magic clashed with Para’s phantom power, and Para won out.

The Parasite Phantom’s presence weakened all holy magic without her even trying, making the paladins’ efforts even more pathetic. Part of that came from Bianca’s Queen Virtuosity trait and the amazing soft buff she gave Zarian with her mythical grace.

Just when Zarian thought Bianca couldn’t have more to show him, she proved him wrong yet again. She fed him another one of her new abilities that was stupidly strong on her.

<Aura Dominance (Epic): You can achieve greater dominant power when pushing more aura into your attacks. It might be costly, but having the biggest aura cannon might solve problems faster than being a master in attrition. Just make sure you know what’s behind your target. You might take out more than just what’s in front of you.>

This one was another example of Bianca proving to be superb at growing traits all on her own – Aura Dominance had originally come from a rare trait called Aura Charge.

Zarian was now wondering if maybe he should meditate more like Bianca. She was really talented at growing traits naturally through her own wondrous attitude outside of just fighting monsters and gaining achievements.

Do we honestly have enough time to follow Bianca’s path? Para asked.

Honestly, no, they didn’t.

Bianca’s path and way of growth were unique to her.

Zarian and Para had their own shared path based on Overwhelming Darkness and Lion Prince. Beyond that, they had their own bucket of abilities to test, spells to learn, and grimoires to upgrade.

But Zarian could admit he felt some envy from how cool and showy Bianca’s path as the mythical Radiant Queen Master looked.

The army of paladins trying to attack her did everything they could to press their numerical advantage, and even then that wasn’t enough. All the paladins did was persuade Bianca to conjure a dull sword of light and practice using the trait she’d advanced based on her old Six Step Dancing Princess Sword Style (Epic).

<Twelve Step Killer Whirlwind Princess Style (Legendary): You’ve made great strides in your sword style. You can fight with more legendary grace, speed, deadliness, and poise. This is best used to cause great damage to a mass of targets within twelve steps, especially if they’re attacking you. This also comes with +100% Agility.>

Bianca tapped each paladin on their helmeted head. Her hits seemed light to her and Zarian. They weren’t that light to the paladins.

Bianca’s Super Serene Rampage +3 skill made every hit heavier than it should be. It wasn’t a new skill, but Zarian recalled how Bianca became more of a beautiful juggernaut from that skill alone.

The body-boosting skill scaled with Wonder while increasing Willpower and Strength by a large amount. It was more cost effective with the +3 advancement, too.

So, yeah, she sent every paladin in melee range falling over with a dent in their helmets. Men and women both dropped, with tongues lolling out of their mouths and eyes rolling in a daze.

Zarian and Para watched from the darkness, staying mostly invisible, until Zarian reached a point where he felt some concern.

“Uh, Bianca, that’s a lot of compact light on your fingertip. You might cause some serious collateral damage,” Zarian warned.

Bianca laughed brilliantly. “It’s okay. As long as I believe things will be fine, it will be fine. Just have to believe.”

She released the charge she’d built up for quite some time. All the lights she’d held captive shot away in thousands of bolts that spread far across dozens of islands. The rush of flying light missiles warped the air, the lights, the shadows, and the darkness around Bianca and everyone close to her.

It was a dominant display of power, but the more astounding detail was how Bianca’s attacks landed where she intended, or where she ‘believed’ to intend.

With every smiting strike, a bright eruption engulfed a paladin’s entire body and made them disappear within a flash. This happened to thousands and thousands of raiding paladins across the northern islands of the Windy Strider Kingdom.

As Bianca killed them all, she smiled throughout.

She smiled like she was spreading peace, joy, and wonder to the world.

She smiled like she was a benevolent goddess that would cherish everyone no matter how much they sinned or hurt others.

She smiled because she had an unshakeable belief inside of herself that empowered her with so much free good that, yes, she could break past the limits of mortality and be her own goddess.

And some people couldn’t handle that.

“You! Damn you! I will put you down once and for all! Oh, Good Gods, witness my virtue!” roared Orin Ignatius, the Level 102 Prime Archbishop Master.

The old, bald, golden armored, and dogmatic man fell from the sky like a blazing comet. He was swinging down a giant flaming blade conjuration extending from his personal sword. He put all of his focus on Bianca, completely ignoring the Dark Lord who was standing off to the side, made easily visible while under Bianca’s dominant light show.

Orin slashed his flaming sword and burned through multiple structures in the small village.

Nobody else who was innocent died. Para had easily scooped them up with her phantom hands and took them away from danger.

Zarian remained in place, wincing a little as the holy flames flashed in his face and made the air hot around him. But he refused to move while standing witness to all the incredible power Bianca put on display.

Bianca remained completely fine. She’d deflected the brunt of the attack with an easy-going swing of her sword, sending Orin careening off to the side like a fly getting swatted.

If only that was the end of it, which would’ve saved Zarian from being shocked any further. But of course, Bianca had a few more power moves up her sleeve.

First, she finished her genocidal attack to wipe out the invading paladins, all except for Orin. Then she sauntered over on her dazzling boots to Zarian.

She reached down and patted away the smoldering ember that had caught on his elven pants from Orin’s attack.

The pout on her face deepened. Zarian shivered, locking up in place, as if he was under the glaring eye of a Marine Drill Instructor. But in this case, it was Queen Bianca, who became maddened for reasons that were almost hard to understand until she voiced her displeasure.

“These pants … they’re elvish. And they’re from Abuela Ruvaria. I know they are.”

Then, when Zarian thought Bianca was going to blow up in wrath, her displeasure disappeared.

Zarian felt even more scared – for Orin, not himself – as a more pleasant and happy smile grew on Bianca’s face. Her body and aura became even greater as she entered a deeper nirvana state.
