Peak Reversal

The reversal started with the broken bones, they pieced themselves together like a puzzle and healed completely. Then it was the poison inside his body, it was all forced out through the wounds on his back and finally the skin, the burnt skin turned into fresh and healthy skin as his wounds also closed. In just a few seconds, Jace had returned to his peak condition like he wasn't on the verge of death a few seconds ago.

Jace received a bunch of System Notifications and he went over them one by one. 

‘I never thought that I'd one day awaken my very own System. Only those with very powerful Abilities also awaken their Systems. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like my System is the intelligence kind but it's rather the programmed kind.’ thought Jace to himself. 

He checked all the new functions he obtained starting with the Search Function. The Search Function like its name suggests, searching for anything valuable that Jace can use his Ability on and use it for himself. 

The Contract Function allowed the creation of contracts with him and the other party, it can be any kind of contract that Jace wants. It can be an Enslavement Contract, Equality Contract, Soul Contract, any kind of contract. 

<Ding! Congratulations to the Host for successfully upgrading Reversal Ability to Peak Reversal!>

When Jace received this notification, he quickly looked for more information about it and found out that his new and improved Ability was very overpowered. He now wasn't just limited to only glasses and stuff but could even apply it on himself, weapons, people, anything. He could now reverse anything to its peak condition.

Jace was super happy that his Ability had upgraded by leaps and bounds and he was no longer trash. He stood up, chose a direction in this huge forest and was about to walk away when suddenly he received another System Notific

<Ding! The Search System has detected a treasure one kilometer away.>

The System gave him directions and he followed them, walking through the bushes and through the tsll . Along the way, he wondered what Chris and others obtained if his Ability got upgraded. Just the thought of them being even more powerful than they were initially scared him.

Thirty minutes later, he finally reached his destination. It was a massive cave entrance hidden by weeds and tall grass. Jace entered the cave entrance without fear for his life. 

Along the way, he had been attacked by many poisonous creatures like small snakes, spiders, flies and other critters. He used his Peak Reversal every time he was poisoned and returned to normal so he now feared nothing as long as it doesn't kill him instantly. 

He walked along the big cave which was filled with bones of humans and beasts all the way until he reached the very end where a skeleton sat cross legged on a small mound. Many swords pierced through the skeleton and Jace deduced that it was the swords from the battle that occurred a long time ago. 

The Search Function pointed at the skeleton that this was the treasure it was talking about. Jace looked at the skeleton for a long time but didn't notice anything worth his attention. He grabbed a small stone from the ground and hit the skeleton with it and the skeleton cracked all over. 

Although Jace didn't have the fear of death, he still feared the unknown so he didn't dare risk his life and approach the skeleton. 

He turned around and was about to leave when a voice sounded directly in his head. 

<Please wait.>

Jace turned around and saw that the skeleton hadn't moved from where it was or suddenly transformed into some sort of monster but its empty eye sockets were currently glowing in a golden glow.

<It's been a long time since I've met anyone and I've never met any race that looks like you. So, what brings you here young friend?> said the skeleton telepathically. 

“Who are you?” Jace responded with a question of his own. 

<Haoyu. My name is Haoyu and I'm not originally from this world. I come from a higher realm of existence.>

“Then tell me Haoyu, what happened to you? Why are you here?”

<I came to the Mortal Domain to find a treasure but I didn't come alone. When me and my companions entered the Mortal Domain, we were suppressed by the domain and could only showcase a little bit of our power. When I finally found the scripture, I was betrayed by my companions who then took the treasure but what they don't know is that the treasure has always been with me. If you're willing to swear by the Dao that you'll get revenge for me, the treasure is yours. Promise, this treasure is absolutely worth it.>

Jace didn't respond immediately but seemed to be thinking about it deeply. 

“What kind of treasure is it?” asked Jace. 

<A cultivation scripture from ancient times. Even people from where I come from would kill to have this treasure. So are you willing to take revenge for me and the treasure is yours. Please make your decision quickly as this is only a wisp of my Soul left.>

“Haoyu is it, I have a different proposal for you. I want you to become my slave for eternity, in exchange, I will give you a new life and a chance to personally get your revenge. Just say yes if you agree and no if you don't.” Jace's eyes were filled with animosity when he talked about revenge. Just the thought of getting revenge made his blood boil. Haoyu naturally saw this and thought for a while. 

<I don't know how capable you are but if you have the power to allow me to personally obtain revenge then I agree. I, Song Haoyu, am willing to become your slave for eternity!>

As soon as Haoyu agreed, a paper suddenly appeared from nowhere, tore itself into two equal halves that entered Jace's and Haoyu's body and then completely disappeared. 

“Song Haoyu, you've just made the best decision of your life. Even if you regret it, I'm afraid there's no going back.” said Jace as he approached Haoyu's skeleton. He walked up the mound until he stood in front of the skeleton with swords piercing it all over. He then grabbed the skeleton by the head and activated his Ability. 

[Peak Reversal!]

BOOOM!!!

A loud explosion occurred as soon as Jace activated the Ability, he was even thrown far back by the shockwave released by Haoyu's skeleton. Haoyu felt his Soul Wisp grow larger and larger and his skeleton grew flesh and skin that covered his bones. The process took a very long time and when Haoyu's body had fully recovered, Jace received a System Notification. 

<Ding! The Host has reached the limit of his Ability. Please grow stronger in order to utilise your Ability to its fullest capabilities.>

Jace though didn't bother with the notification because he was currently gazing at something very important. A young man who looked no older than eighteen knelt before him on one knee and cupped fists. Jace could feel great power emanating from the young man and was stunned by this development. 

“Song Haoyu greets master!”
