Peak Reversal

In the garden, Haoyu was sitting cross legged under the tree and Faceless was sitting on a tree branch and looking into empty space. The two heard Jace's loud footsteps but remained calm and continued with their business. Jace walked closer and closer towards until he was just a few meters from the tree. He first looked at Faceless then at Haoyu under the tree.

Swoosh! 

Swoosh! 

“Faceless greets the master.”

“Haoyu greets the master.”

The two moved at fast speed and appeared in front of Jace and greeted him respectful. 

“What's this all of a sudden, anyways, yesterday I had a really good time. Like a really… good time. Faceless, your fruit worked wonders for me last night and for your efforts, I want to reward you. Tell me, what do you want?”

“Master, please allow me to be your shadow.” said Faceless. 

“I don't know what that means but I allow it. From now on, you're my shadow.” as soon as he agreed, Faceless turned into a flash of darkness that fused with Jace's shadow, making it darker. 

“Haoyu, I'm in a good mood so you've next, what do you want?”

“I've been having some problems with a technique I've been working on, PLEASE give me some pointers and also help me with energy recovery.”

“Why not, show me what you got.”

Jace was so happy that he agreed to anything that was asked of him without even thinking about it. 

Haoyu then created an ice sword and swung it around in a beautiful and elegant manner. It was like he was dancing and not swinging a sword around. After that, he created an ice spear and swung it around too but he was more wild and barbaric with the spear than he was with the sword. After he was done, he looked at Jace for some feedback. 

“Give me the spear,” said Jace. 

Haoyu handed the spear to him and Jace casually grabbed it but once he did, he felt something…familiar. 

‘What's this feeling?’ he thought. 

Jace then took the same stance as Haoyu and began to swing the spear exactly like how Haoyu did it but his moves had a completely different feeling to them. Every swipe, stab and parry were perfectly executed. In Haoyu's eyes, Jace wasn't holding a spear, he was holding an aggressive snake that would pounce on you, change its direction mid air, coil itself before pouncing again and even spun like a wind blade.

Haoyu was completely entranced by Jace's spearmanship, it was like the spear was made for him. 

“Haoyu, how was it?”

“Beautiful.”

“Really, anyway, I'm off to take a bath, it's a big day for me after all. You also quickly get ready.” said Jace. 

“Yes.” nodded Haoyu and Jace walked away with a happy smile. In his eyes, the world was colourful, vibrant and beautiful so how could he not be in a good mood. 

Haoyu watched Jace leave but his view of his master had completely changed, it now held a hint of reverence in it. 

‘Just what was that presence I felt when Jace came here? It was heavy, wild and overwhelmingly sharp, like it could pierce right through me and uncover all my secrets.’

When it hit twelve o'clock in the afternoon, the wedding officially began. Everyone was wearing white robes with a white fox design. The wedding was also taking place in the ancestral hall where there was a statue of a nine tailed fox. 

[The Auspicious hour has arrived, bow to your parents!] said the First Ancestor. Scarlet and Jace then bow to Scarlet's parents since Jace was an orphan.

The couple then bowed to the fox statue.

The couple then bowed to each other and they were officially husband and wife. Immediately after, Scarlet was dragged away by the siblings,leaving Jace hanging. Jace grabbed a platter and filled it with all kinds of delicacies, he truly loved eating delicious food. 

After having his fill, it was time to get drunk and enjoy himself and he did just that. He drank glass after glass of strong wine until he was completely wasted. He wasn't drinking alone of course, Jun Hie and his siblings were also there, having a good time with him. They drank until evening came and only stopped because they were so drunk they couldn't even lift the glasses they were drinking with. 

On the balcony of the villa, the newly wed couple was cuddled up together. Scarlet was sitting on Jace's lap and resting her head on his neck. Her fluffy tail wagged left and right slowly. The night was very beautiful with shining stars and the full moon that shone brightly in the night sky.

“Jace, if I was forced to do something I didn't want to do, what would you do?” asked Scarlet.

“Where is this coming from suddenly?”

“Just answer the question.”

“I would beat up whoever it is that's bullying my wife. I'll teach him a lesson he'd never forget.” answered Jace.

“And what if he's stronger than you, unimaginably stronger than you?”

“If I can't beat him then I'd bide my time, grow stronger until I could then I'd kill him. Anyone who would force me into such a situation doesn't deserve to live. I don't want anything to come between us, even if it's your family. I love you too much to allow you to suffer injustices.”

“I love you. No matter how far I am, know that I love you.”said Scarlet before snuggling closer to Jace. 

“I don't know what's going on in your mind but I love you too.” replied Jace while gazing at the beautiful moon accompanied by stars.

An hour later, Scarlet had fallen asleep and Jace was half awake. He looked at the moon one last time before going to bed but he saw something that changed his plans. He saw two tiny things appear on the moon, he rubbed his eyes to see if he was hallucinations and he wasn't. There was something on the moon.

“Faceless, are you seeing what I'm seeing?”

“What is it, master?” asked Faceless who was now standing behind Jace like a loyal butler. 

“What's that on the crater of the moon?”@@novelbin@@

“Let me check… mhm, there's really something on the moon, let me zoom in to get a closer look. Master, there's two people on the moon and… they are currently looking at me.”

“WHAT?! WHAT DO THEY LOOK LIKE?!”

“They look like ordinary huma… wait, their appearances just changed. Master, I don't know if this is good or bad but it seems they are from the Fox Clan. Both of them have similar features with the Madam. Fox ears, fox eyes and fox  tails. The male has four tails and the female has five. Master, they are really looking at me, like, we're making eye contact. I don't know how that's possible but it's happening.”

“Keep a watch on them while I think of something.”

“Ye… they just disappeared.”

“What?! Where did they go, quickly find them!” commander Jace but it seems he was already too late. Ripples appeared in the space in front of him and two people appened in front of him. They were both beautiful, extremely so.

[Told you she was with the Demon spying on us.]

[Yeah, yeah, your senses are much better than mine. So what, I'm still stronger than you and that's a fact. Anyway, do you want me to handle this or do you want to handle this?]
