"Phantom Rebirth: The Last White Raven’s Path to the Ultimate Assassin"

Chapter 347: Wrath of the Tempest

A Clash of Storm and Steel

The battlefield was set—Raven Perch stood defiant, while Stormcaller’s warship rocked in the chaotic waters.

Seraphis stood atop the fortress walls, watching as the enemy vessel lurched closer, dragged in by the heavy harpoons.

The sky above was still churning, dark clouds spiraling as the remnants of Stormcaller's magic crackled with energy.

He wasn’t giving up.

Neither was she.

"Load another volley!" Seraphis ordered.

Her Downstrike crews reloaded, the massive anti-magic crossbolts sliding into place.

She smirked as she aimed.

"Let’s take the fight straight to them."

Stormcaller’s Retaliation

Stormcaller gripped the railing of his ship, his silver eyes gleaming with defiance.

He growled as he watched another round of massive crossbolts flying toward his ship.

"Brace!" he roared.

His crew ducked for cover as the bolts tore through the deck, splintering wood and cutting down any pirates who weren’t quick enough to dodge.

The ship groaned, the structural damage worsening.

Stormcaller’s lips curled into a snarl.

"This fortress is a menace," he muttered.

Then he slammed his palm against the deck, his magic surging outward.

A powerful gust of wind erupted, knocking away debris and steadying the ship against the pull of the harpoons.

Then he raised both hands toward the storm above.

"Rise!"

A sudden explosion of lightning struck the sea, sending arcs of energy dancing across the water.

Then, from the depths, something stirred.

The Awakening of the Deep

Seraphis frowned as she felt the air shift.

Something was wrong.

The ocean beneath Stormcaller’s ship began to swirl, a massive whirlpool forming beneath the hull.

Then, the water bubbled and frothed, as something began to emerge

.

A serpentine shapelong, scaled, and monstrousrose from the depths.

The creature’s eyes glowed with lightning, its massive form towering over the battlefield.

Seraphis’s grip on her sword tightened.

"A sea serpent?" she muttered.

Stormcaller laughed, his voice carried by the howling winds.

"Meet my pet," he called.

The serpent coiled around the ship, its glowing fangs dripping with energy.

Then, with a violent snap, it lashed out—its massive body crashing into the fortress walls.

Holding the Line

The impact shook the entire structure, causing some of Seraphis’s crew to stumble backward.

Stone crumbled, but the walls held firm.

Seraphis bared her teeth.

"Get those damn Downstrikes aimed at that thing!" she shouted.

Her crew reacted instantly, adjusting their aim to target the massive serpent.

"Fire!"

The Downstrike Crossbows released their payload, sending massive anti-magic bolts straight into the creature’s scales.

The serpent screeched, writhing as the bolts embedded themselves deep into its flesh.

Stormcaller flinched as his summoned beast shuddered in agony.

Seraphis smirked.

"Not so tough, are you?"

A Battle on Two Fronts

The warship was still closing in, despite the harpoons holding it in place.

Stormcaller’s remaining crew readied grappling hooks, preparing to board the fortress.

Seraphis turned to her archers.

"Cut them down before they get here."

Arrows rained from the walls, hitting pirates as they attempted to swing onto the stone battlements

.

Some made it, only to be met with steel.

Seraphis drew her blades, meeting a pirate mid-air as he leaped onto the walls.

Their swords clashed, sparks flying from the impact.

With a quick twist of her wrist, she knocked his blade aside—then drove her dagger into his chest.

The pirate gurgled before she kicked him off the wall.

Stormcaller Joins the Fray

Stormcaller saw his crew falling one by one.

He growled.

"Fine," he muttered.

Then he leaped from his ship, lightning trailing behind him as he landed atop Raven Perch’s walls.

Seraphis turned, meeting his electrified gaze.

Finally.

"You took your time, Stormcaller," she taunted.

Stormcaller smirked.

"Thought I’d let you have a warm-up."

Then, with a crack of thunder, he lunged.

Their blades met, sending a shockwave of force across the battlements.

The Duel of Titans

Seraphis sidestepped, avoiding a bolt of lightning that shot from Stormcaller’s palm.

She countered with a swift slash, forcing him back.

Stormcaller flicked his fingers, summoning a blade of pure energy in his off-hand.

"Let’s see if you can keep up," he growled.

Seraphis grinned.

"I was hoping you’d say that."

They clashed again, their strikes blurring with speed.

Stormcaller’s attacks were relentless, each blow carrying thunderous power.

But Seraphis was faster.

She ducked, dodged, and weaved through his storm—her blades cutting at his defenses.

A sudden strike to his side forced Stormcaller back.

He hissed.

"Not bad."

Seraphis licked her lips.

"I’m just getting started."

The Warship’s Demise

While the duel raged, Seraphis’s crew continued the assault.

The sea serpent was faltering, its wounds too great to sustain.

With a final Downstrike shot, the beast let out a horrific screech before collapsing into the sea.

The warship, weakened by harpoons and damage, was next.

"Fire everything!" Seraphis’s second-in-command roared.

A final barrage of bolts and arrows struck the hull, splintering it apart.

The ship began to sink, dragging Stormcaller’s remaining crew into the depths.

Seraphis grinned mid-duel.

"Looks like your ride’s gone," she taunted.

Stormcaller panted, his energy draining.

His forces were defeated.

His storm was failing.

And now, he was alone.

The Turning Point

Stormcaller gritted his teeth.

"Damn you…!"

Seraphis flipped her dagger in her hand, walking toward him.

"Face it," she said.

"You’ve already lost."

She lunged, her blade flashing in the stormlight.

Stormcaller raised his lightning sword in desperation.

The next clash would decide everything.
