Axel was looking at Aron's status page now. It had been more than a month since it had been born. Axel had forbidden it to train it in moves right now cause it was too weak. It still needed some time to get started. But what he regretted was to form a good bond with it.

The ideal time to make a bond with a Pokemon was when they were still a baby and Aron had already lived half of that baby stage. But Axel had to leave it here cause the tide battle was just not right for Aron. It was just a baby after all.

Axel still had time to create this bond and he knew that Aron was going to be a very powerful Pokemon in the future. Its final form was so badass.

Axel still remembered Steven's Aggron and how powerful it really was. He didn't know how far his Aron would go cause it only had an advanced potential but with his talent, Axel believed that Aron would reach great heights.

"Aron, I brought some good minerals for you. Come here.", said Axel extending his hand. Looking at the shiny minerals and rocks, Aron's eyes sparkled as it rushed towards Axel with all of its speed.

"Kr... Krrr.... Krrr..."

Even though it was only around 1.5 feet in height, it was very heavy, around 70-80 kg. That is a lot of a baby Pokemon. It was a steel/rock type Pokemon and Axel was going to make it a tank for his team.

The Devon corporation had promised Axel that they would take care of all the expenses of Aron till it reached king rank and Axel was fully using that advantage.

The Devon Corporation and Steven had also given him the training plans for Aron. Steven's personal training plan was very helpful. Axel had gone through it and he was content with it.

Steven had made his Aggron and tank and a physical attacker. That was an ideal training plan for someone like Aron but Axel also wanted to add a hint of special attack on it.

Aggron was going to be slow. It was very heavy and making it an agility type Pokemon would just be a waste of its talent. So, Axel was going to make it a tank and also an attacker. But since its speed was going to be so slow, it was very likely, that it was not going to land a lot of hits. So, he also wanted it to have some good special attack.

The way to raise an Aron so that it could have a good foundation was to give it a lot of minerals and iron ores to eat. Yes, Aron's food was very different and also very expensive.

But Axel also gave it a dose of vitamins and Momo milk for a good balanced diet.

There were 2 reasons why he selected his Aron. First was its passive move, 'Greater shield' which was just broken as with the increase in its health and defense, its overall physical defense would double. Axel didn't know how powerful this passive move would be in the future. Actually, he chose it cause it had a passive move.

Passive move was very hard to come by and for a baby Pokemon to have one was just out of the world.

The second reason was that it knew the move 'Bullet seed'. This meant that it had a very high chance that it had grass-type hidden power and grass-type would counter 2 of its weaknesses; water and ground.

But this would take time and Axel was okay with it. He needed to have patience.

Then he looked at his newly acquired Pokemon. Gandiva.

Gandiva also had only advanced potential but that didn't matter due to its passive, 'Struggle bug'. Honestly, 'Struggle bug' was one of the most broken passive moves that Axel had ever seen. Its effect was not immediate but with time, Gandiva might become extremely powerful in its own way.

Axel went to its move's level and they were subpar at best. It must be noted that Gandiva was already 4 years old. So, it was one of the oldest Pokemon in his team.

But that was okay. Since it had joined Axel, its fate would change. The thing that Axel had to do now was to make a training plan for Gandiva cause it was ready to go.

But first,

"Both of you, come here. I want you to put this in your head and meditate. Knowledge would come to you and then you will try to learn a new move called 'Hidden power'...."

Axel went on to explain how a TM would work cause both of them didn't have any idea how it worked.

'Hmm, is this how trained Pokemons became so powerful?', thought Gandiva. If it was going to learn a move, it would take multiple months to do it but now its trainer was saying that this could be done in a minute.

Axel used the TM on both of them. Since they only had advanced potential and they were also very young and un-evolved Pokemon, they didn't learn the move in a minute.

"Think about what you experienced and try to replicate it. Aron, do it in moderation.", said Axel.

They took some time and by the end of the day, both of them had learned this move.

Axel noticed something while they were trying to learn the move. Gandiva was very lazy. It might be the laziest Pokemon in his team. That was why it was very weak due to its passive move 'Struggle bug'. He needed to change his mindset of Gandiva.

Yet, the notification came as a surprise to him.

Axel was happy that Aron had a grass-type hidden power. The fire type for Gandiva was a bit unexpected but he could live with that.

One of the reasons why Axel chose Gandiva as his Pokemon was that cause he lacked a pure flying type Pokemon. He only had Flappy for that and since he would be spending a lot of time in the tide battles in the future, having an additional flying type was necessary.

"Axel, the dinner is ready. Come over now. Aurther is also waiting.", called his mom and Axel happily went inside his home.

Yes, Axel had come to his home after the tide battle. He needed rest from all the deaths and killings. He also wanted to see the progress of day care. Prince Kymar and Oak were not joking about the progress of the day care.

They had spent a lot of money in reconstructing the place near Hakone City for the day care. Axel also didn't have to worry about the advanced rank breeder as Oak was providing 2 or 3 of them for the day care.

Oak was also very generous and was going to provide a range of young Pokemons and Pokemon eggs for Axel's day care.

"Brother, can I go and see the progress of day care?", asked Agnes with excitement.

The one who was most excited about it was Agnes cause Axel had given that responsibility to her. Actually, she didn't need to do anything other than representing Axel as a family member but Axel believed that Agnes would learn a lot in day care. He also hoped that Agnes would not try to be a trainer like him. He knew how harsh the world was and how dangerous this profession was. So, if Agnes agreed to invest her time in day care, then Axel would not have to worry about her.

"Axel, how did you feel when you learned those soul arts?", asked Noah.

They had not learned it as they didn't have anything to do with it but Axel had.

"I don't know how I should describe it. My rank has regressed to rare rank but strangely, I don't feel so weak. Actually, I do feel weaker than before but I also feel stronger in a different way. This must be something to do with the soul.", replied Axel.

It actually felt a bit odd and Axel could not describe it in words.

"You still have to learn those soul arts. How are you going to have time for it? You have a lot of things on your plate.", asked Noah.

"Haha, actually, I don't need to do much with this soul art. My sole purpose in learning it is cause I want this power in the future too. So, I am not going to learn any defensive or offensive soul art. I am only going to make myself more attuned to it. That is all and that would not take much of my time."

Xerneas had filled his brain with a lots of uses of soul arts. They were very mystical and powerful but as of right now, Axel didn't need to learn all of those. He didn't want to be a warrior but a Pokemon trainer. Of course, there were some interesting soul arts that would protect him in his time of need and they were essential for him in the future but they were very few.

The family didn't talk much of it. His father and mother wanted their family to be normal and talking about these things would be very awkward all the time.

"So, how is the day care going? I believe that you are excited about it.", asked his mother.

"Yes, it will be built before this month ends. Prince Kymar and Oak are helping me with this and I am very grateful. But as of right now, I want to focus on my young Pokemons. They have grown a lot in this tide battle and it is now time for me to make a good training plan for them.

I also want to concentrate on my next gym battle.", said Axel.

"Have you thought of any gym that you want to battle right now?"

"Yes, I will go for Zesa City."

"It is not one of that famous gym city, is it?", asked his father.

"Yes, it is not. The gym is actually very old. In the past, the gym used to be very famous and there was a powerful gym leader but when the gym leader's son took over, the popularity of the gym went down.

Now, I heard that the grandson of the original gym leader took over and he is very young and powerful and is on the rise. It also might become the top 8 gym in the Johto region very soon.", said Axel.

"Really? What does this gym specialize in?"

"Fire."

"Then it might be very easy for you. You have Feraligatr for this gym.", said Agnes.

"Yes, but a type advantage is not going to determine a gym battle. I want to see how good this new gym leader is. I have heard that the gym leader is in his 20s and very young.", said Axel with a smile.
