Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 356: A Good Time To Explore

Chapter 356: A Good Time To Explore

"How about Advanced secret Realm No. 15? The description says it's rich in Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon, so there must be plenty of minerals too."

"No. 98 is also a good choice. It's mainly Grass- and Water-type, with Poison being the third most common attribute. There should be a lot of high-grade medicinal herbs inside."

"Or No. 55, which has a high concentration of Steel-type Pokémon."

Inside the villa, Julian held a stack of documents detailing over a hundred Advanced-level secret Realms in Drakoria, he was currently discussing with Slowking which one to explore.

Julian had two entry passes for Advanced-level Secret Realms.

One was a reward from winning first place in the Yale Province High School League's singles competition.

The other was one of many perks given to him upon enrolling at Imperial University.

Since he had already used one pass to explore Secret Realm No. 58, he still had one left.

With nothing urgent to do, he figured it was a good time to explore and see if he could find rare treasures—or even the ultimate treasure of the Secret Realm.

Drakoria had over a hundred Advanced-level Secret Realms, and Julian had narrowed it down to three options.

Since Slowking was highly intelligent, he called it over for a second opinion.

Slowking pointed at Secret Realm No. 98.

"Slow~"

"This one? Why not No. 55?" Julian asked.

Afterall Secret Realm No. 55 was a top choice for Steel-type trainers across the country.

Slowking: "Don’t we already have a Steel-type Secret Realm at home?"

"That one is a 'special' Advanced-level Secret Realm, I was planning to wait until Metagross breaks through to the Elite level before going," Julian explained.

For special Advanced-level Secret Realms, having an entry pass wasn't enough—strength mattered too, without sufficient power, even if he went in, the gains wouldn’t be great.

For example, in Dragon's Den secret realm of the Drake Family, if the Dragonite guarding Dragon Mountain back then hadn’t been the father of Julian’s own Dragonite, the gains would’ve been significantly lower.

Plus, in special Advanced-level Secret Realms, trainers could only use Pokémon that matched the realm’s attribute.

The Walker Family’s exclusive Secret Realm, the Oreburgh Great Wall, was the foundation of their status as one of Drakoria’s top aristocratic families.

Julian naturally wanted to wait until Metagross reached Elite level before entering to maximize his gains.

"Alright, then let's go to Secret Realm No. 98."

Julian nodded, since he was eventually going to explore his family’s Secret Realm, there was no point choosing No. 55 now, if there was a better option, why would he settle for less?

"Arc!"

Arcanine, who had been sitting beside him, perked up its ear at the mention of traveling, its tail wagged furiously—so much so that it was practically flying.

Such a joyous occasion definitely called for biting the sofa in celebration!

Just as it opened its mouth, Julian grabbed its head and began rubbing its face aggressively.

Furious dog head rubs!

Julian called his homeroom teacher, Frank, to inform him that he would be heading to Secret Realm No. 98 and requested a one-month leave. Frank agreed without hesitation and, after giving Julian a few words of advice, ended the call.

Next, Julian sent a message to his family.

Since there was no signal inside the Secret Realm, he wanted to let them know in advance so they wouldn’t worry if they couldn’t reach him.

The next morning, at ten o'clock, Julian boarded a plane to Eastwood City in Lu Province, the location of Secret Realm No. 98.

By the time he arrived at Eastwood City Airport, it was already past 7 o'clock in the evening—too late to head to the Secret Realm.

Eastwood City was a tier-three city, mainly focused on agriculture, so it wasn’t particularly developed.

Julian booked a room at one of the better hotels, choosing the best available suite. He planned to get a good night’s rest before setting out for Secret Realm No. 98 early the next morning.

"Heading to Secret Realm No. 98 tomorrow!"

He posted in the group chat.

Meanwhile, at the Eastwood City Inspection Bureau, even though it was nearly 10 PM, the place was still bustling with activity.

In Conference Room No. 1, the bureau chief, three district chiefs, and ten key investigators were holding a high-level meeting.

"Viktor, Ghost-type Elite level trainer, S-Class wanted criminal.

Major offenses:

- Murdered [REDACTED] to steal the Toxic Orb.

- Killed [REDACTED] and took their Mismagius.

- Assaulted and murdered [REDACTED], then had his Pokémon devour her soul.

- Killed an entire family of eight over a verbal dispute.

He has taken over twenty lives."

The Eastwood City Bureau Chief pointed at Viktor’s photo with a grim expression.

"The provincial bureau has confirmed that he entered Eastwood City today and he is 'extremely' dangerous."

"We've been ordered to seal off all entry points to the city and conduct a covert search in East District. There's a high chance he's hiding there."

One of the district chiefs hesitated.

"Viktor is an Elite-level Ghost specialist, and Mr. Robin isn’t in Eastwood right now."

Each city had between one and three Elite-level trainers stationed for security, depending on its size.

Since Eastwood was only a third-tier city, it had just one resident Elite, but he was currently absent.

"The provincial bureau has already deployed an Elite from the neighbouring city to assist us," the bureau chief responded immediately.

"But doesn’t the provincial bureau have two Elite trainers themselves?" the district chief asked in confusion.

Why send someone from the neighbouring city? That city was also tier-three, and their stationed Elite was only at the early stage.

Meanwhile, Viktor was a mid-stage Elite and a Ghost-type at that, one of the hardest to deal with.

"The provincial bureau’s two Elite trainers are occupied with other missions," the bureau chief sighed.

"How the hell did the provincial bureau let a mass murderer like him escape here?! This is pure negligence!" another district chief slammed the table in frustration.

S-Class criminals like Viktor were always targeted for immediate capture upon discovery.

Authorities couldn’t afford to let them escape to another city, as it would not only make tracking them down harder but also require an entirely new capture plan if he resurfaced elsewhere.

And battling within a city was out of the question.

An Elite-level fugitive engaging in combat in an urban area would lead to massive casualties.

Unless law enforcement could subdue him instantly, they couldn’t afford to engage—if necessary, it was better to let him escape than to risk a city-wide disaster.

This was exactly why criminals like Viktor preferred to hide in cities rather than remote areas.

In the wilderness, there were no hostages. If authorities tracked them down, there’d be nothing stopping them from attacking on sight.

In a city, however, the more people around, the safer they were.

A hostage situation could completely stall law enforcement efforts.

Afterall when collateral damage was unavoidable, even the strongest forces must hold back.

"East District is our main urban area. A covert search would require a huge manpower deployment, and Viktor, being a Ghost-type trainer, likely has exceptional concealment abilities."

"Finding him will be incredibly difficult."

"You ten will each lead a search team. Your members can be drawn from the city bureau, district bureaus, or even outside reinforcements—that’s up to you."

"However, all external reinforcements must be reported in advance, and they must be made fully aware of the dangers of this operation. Of course, the city bureau will offer them certain rewards for their cooperation."

The ten people mentioned were all pseudo-Elite trainers, with two of them being at the peak of pseudo-Elite.

Their expressions varied—some looked tense, some were eager, while others remained calm.

"Remember, if Viktor can't be captured, so be it, but under no circumstances can we allow him to harm the civilians," the Bureau Chief said seriously.
