Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 410: Visit

The Lawson Family of Orient City was one of the big families of Drakoria. Their influence was anything but weak—only lacking a Champion-level trainer within their ranks.

As for pseudo-Champions and Elite peak trainers, the Lawson Family had them, and there were more than one.

Their patriarch, Leonard Lawson, was himself an Elite peak trainer, but at this moment, his face was extremely grim.

Beside him, his wife’s expression was twisted with rage, resembling that of a vengeful ghost.

“My son’s death is definitely connected to that Julian! Connor died not long ago, and now Felix is dead too! My two sons—!"

The Connor she spoke of was Felix’s twin brother, Connor Lawson.

Connor had been the notorious playboy who caused the death of the intelligence officer’s daughter in Babath. This tragedy drove the officer to betray Drakoria in exchange for revenge—by having Babath agents assassinate Connor.

As a result, Connor was killed, and due to the officer’s defection, false intelligence was leaked, leading to serious poisoning of Duke, who almost died.

Connor and Felix were both spoiled brats, indulging in all sorts of debauchery, especially when it came to women. However, despite their bad reputation, they were both talented.

Connor had been admitted to Shu University, while Felix attended Imperial University.

It was precisely because of their good talents that the Lawson Family had always indulged them.

And now, both brothers had met their end.

This double tragedy had driven their mother insane.

Connor’s death had been tied to Babath, even if they wanted revenge, it wasn’t something they could pursue easily, but for Felix’s death there was no doubt in her mind that Julian had a hand in it.

“Julian—I will make sure he dies!!”

Felix’s mother’s voice was extremely cold, having lost both sons back-to-back, revenge was the only thought left in her mind.

Although there was no solid evidence linking Julian to Felix’s death.

However, Felix had clashed with Julian, resulting in his arm being broken, and he was admitted to the hospital for treatment, only to die the next day due to cardiac arrhythmia.

Did they really expect her to believe her son had a heart condition?

The hospital room’s security cameras had captured nothing—no sign of any humans or Pokémon entering. But for elite families, making a death look like a natural accident was child’s play.

Even if Julian hadn’t acted personally, it must have been someone from the Walker family.

Seeing her husband remain silent, Felix’s mother yelled angrily: “What are you hesitating for?! Our son is dead! If you won’t avenge him, I'll beg my father to do so!”

Marriages between aristocratic families were common, and while her own family wasn’t as influential as the Lawson Family, the gap wasn’t too big.

"Of course not, they killed my son—I will kill the Walker family's only hope."

The Lawson Family patriarch wore a dark expression. Although he still had an eldest son, the consecutive deaths of Connor and Felix had deeply wounded him.

"I'll have the Shadow Guard—"

BOOM!!

Before he could even finish his sentence, a violent explosion erupted nearby, shattering the surrounding windows.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!

The deafening sound of explosions continued.

At this moment, at the front gates of the Lawson estate, a towering figure stood tall—John Walker.

In front of him loomed Aggron, a massive steel beast, while by his side stood Metagross, radiating an imposing presence.

"Dare to bully my grandson?"

John muttered, then stepped forward, striding directly into the Lawson estate.

Scattered across the ground before him were dozens of fallen Pokémon and Lawson Family members—some dead, some injured, and some unconscious.

However, before he could take more than a few steps, two pseudo-Champion trainers from the Lawson Family had already blocked his path.

These two were the strongest trainers in the family—though one of them was actually a hired guardian, not a direct member of the clan.

Upon seeing that the intruder was none other than John Walker, their expressions changed instantly.

The difference between a Champion and a pseudo-Champion was far greater than the gap between an Elite and a pseudo-Elite.

Just then, a voice rang out from the sky—

"Dad, leave these two to me."

A Skarmory descended, and a man leapt off its back, landing on the ground.

The visitor was none other than Julian's father, Jake Walker.

His son had been bullied—how could a father not step in?

Just recently, during the once-every-four-years Elite Challenge, Jake had emerged as the new winner and the current title holder of the Steel-type Elite position.

Though officially an Elite, his strength was already at the pseudo-Champion level.

The two pseudo-Champions of the Lawson Family were a little confused. They hadn’t heard about Felix’s death yet, so they had no idea why John and Jake had stormed their estate.

But John had fought his way in—this was clearly not a good thing.

The Lawson Family’s pseudo-Champion trainer scowled and asked, "Champion Walker, why have you suddenly attacked the Lawson Family?"

If John wasn’t far stronger than him, he wouldn’t have bothered talking—he would have struck first and asked questions later.

This was his own territory, and yet, when faced with these intruders, he had to hold back and ask politely—the sheer humiliation made his blood boil.

"My grandson was bullied, how could I not come?" John simply said.

Just as he spoke, the Lawson Family patriarch arrived on the scene. Hearing this, he was so enraged that he nearly coughed up blood.

"John, don’t talk nonsense!" he roared furiously.

"My son died at Julian’s hands! I haven’t even settled the score, yet you dare to come here yourselves?!"

Behind him stood eight Elite trainers of the Lawson Family.

Seeing John twist the narrative, the family head was so enraged that his eyes turned red.

'I've seen shameless people before, but never anyone this shameless.'

"Shut your damn mouth!" John snapped. "Even the Investigation Bureau confirmed that your son died from cardiac arrhythmia—what does that have to do with my grandson? If you want to blame someone, blame your son for all the wicked things he's done in his life."

Cardiac arrhythmia usually wasn't fatal, but in very rare cases, it could lead to sudden death, some people were just unlucky.

"John, your grandson killed my son! I will make him pay with his life!"

Felix’s mother shrieked, her voice filled with madness. Seeing John storm into their home had shattered her last shred of reason. Her face twisted in hatred, her bloodshot eyes filled with a venomous promise of vengeance—she would not stop until Julian was dead.

"Metagross" John said, his voice eerily calm.

At this moment, his expression mirrored Julian’s when he had told Gengar to finish the job cleanly.

"Not good!"

The Lawson Family patriarch’s heart suddenly sank.

The pseudo-Champion standing beside him also reacted immediately, but it was useless.

Metagross was a Champion-tier Pokémon, against opponents a full tier below, there was no stopping it.

Boom!

In the next instant, Felix's mother’s head was obliterated—crushed with a single, devastating punch from Metagross.

Well now, she could join her two sons in the afterlife.

Her blood and brain matter splattered across the surrounding family members, painting the scene in a grotesque display of carnage.

Leonard, standing closest, was drenched in his wife's blood.

"Attack! Attack!" he roared, his voice cracking with unhinged fury. "I don’t care if this makes us traitors—I will kill the both of you today!"

His sons were dead, his wife had just been murdered before his eyes.

To hell with family interests. To hell with the family’s future. Right now, nothing mattered except revenge.

He just wanted to kill both John and Jake, to retaliate for his wife and children.

But John and Jake?

They just grinned.
