The air was continuously compressed under the force of Rage Fist, layer upon layer, filling the entire space with an overwhelming sense of oppression.

“Protect!”

Faced with such a powerful Rage Fist, Julian dared not be careless.

Melmetal didn’t have time to get back on its feet, but it could still use Protect even while lying down.

Rage Fist slammed against the protective barrier, like a meteor crashing into an overturned energy shield. The moment they collided, a terrifying shockwave exploded outward in all directions.

The air was filled with violent roars, one after another.

Yet, despite the force of the impact, the Protect remained unbroken.

The red, flame-like aura around Rage Fist began to dim, and its power was instantly halved.

“Flash Cannon!”

Before Protect faded, Melmetal turned its massive body and fired a silver-white beam of light from its head.

Flash Cannon struck Primeape square in the abdomen, driving it backward and slamming it into the top of the protective barrier. The continuous energy beam caused Primeape to let out a pained screech.

It struggled to break free, but the impact force of Flash Cannon was too overwhelming—it couldn’t escape.

As the Flash Cannon finally ended, Primeape crashed heavily to the ground, Julian thought the battle was over. However, in the next second, Primeape trembled and staggered back to its feet.

When it came to willpower, Fighting-type Pokémon were undoubtedly in a league of their own.

“You did amazing, Primeape! I’m so proud of you!”

Bruce, the muscle-bound man, was unexpectedly brought to tears.

Watching this scene made Julian shudder. 'Does this guy have some kind of issue? Is that kind of reaction really necessary?'

“Primeape, show them our fighting spirit—Reversal!”

A forty-year-old man, yet his words were as dramatic as a teenager’s.

Cringey as it was, Julian didn’t dare let his guard down.

Seeing Primeape’s battered state, its HP was clearly near rock bottom. That meant the Reversal’s power would be monstrous.

Just as Julian expected, once Primeape used Reversal, its aura surged to the level of a peak Elite Pokémon, nearly reaching pseudo-champion.

A powerful sense of pressure radiated from its entire being.

Melmetal felt as though the air around it had become abnormally heavy, almost like liquid mercury.

Protect would probably no longer work.

After all, Julian knew his luck.

“Melmetal, High Horsepower!” Julian commanded.

Melmetal charged forward like a wild behemoth, its heavy footsteps causing the ground to quake, each step accompanied by a resounding roar.

The two moves clashed head-on.

The deafening sound of the collision rang out, so loud that even through the protective barrier, Julian’s ears were left buzzing.

At the moment of impact, both Pokémon were sent flying backward.

However, Melmetal quickly stabilized itself after being blown back dozens of meters. While, Primeape slammed into the protective barrier with a heavy thud.

This time, Primeape didn’t get back up.

“Metal!”

Having defeated its opponent, Melmetal struck a bodybuilder-like pose, flexing its arms triumphantly, though its body was still marked with some battle wounds.

Before Melmetal could flaunt any further, Julian recalled it into its Poké Ball.

Totem Aggron, with its massive frame, exuded a crushing sense of pressure simply by standing still. Combined with its fierce and menacing appearance, it was enough to make timid Pokémon lose their will to fight on the spot.

Bruce’s expression grew serious as he sent out his second Pokémon.

In other words, Hariyama was fully capable of sending Aggron soaring with just one powerful slap—after all Aggron didn’t weigh anywhere near ten tons.

Hariyama swung its massive, fan-like hands casually through the air a few times, creating a sharp whooshing sound with each motion.

“Aggron, Stone Edge!”

Julian was the first to launch an attack.

Aggron stomped its left foot heavily onto the ground, and in an instant, jagged stone pillars burst out from the earth, surging toward Hariyama.

“Hariyama, Arm Thrust!” Bruce commanded.

Hariyama swung its broad hands forward, striking the oncoming stone pillars. Its powerful, calloused palms shattered each one into rubble.

Advancing with a series of heavy swings, Hariyama steadily closed the distance between itself and Aggron.

“Keep using Arm Thrust!”

Arm Thrust was a continuous move, but unlike Rollout, its power didn’t increase over time.

“Metal Claw!”

As Hariyama pushed forward, Aggron raised its claws, now coated in dense, steel-type energy.

The shimmering claws clashed repeatedly with Hariyama’s Arm Thrust. The two Pokémon seemed evenly matched, neither was pushed back.

However, the ground beneath them didn’t hold up nearly as well, the rocky terrain fractured and splintered with every impact, and in the next moment, the powerful shockwaves pulverized the stone into dust.

“Hariyama, Force Palm!”

Realizing that Arm Thrust alone wasn't enough to push back Aggron, Bruce quickly changed tactics.

Despite its stocky build, Hariyama’s movements were fluid and agile—typical of fighting-types.

Even if it looked like a bulky heavyweight, it moved with the nimbleness of a seasoned martial artist.

The transition between moves was seamless, flowing as smoothly as water.

Force Palm struck Aggron square in the abdomen, and the powerful force tried to hurt Aggron from the inside.

But it's a pity that Aggron’s defense was nearly maxed out.

In Secret Realm No. 98, Mega Aggron had withstood the combined assault of over a dozen Elite Pokémon—some of them even at the peak of the Elite tier.
