Kent reviewed the quest and sighed. He could tell he had been awarded two skills, yet in a strange way, they did not appear on his status page.

He could sense they were within him, but since they weren't listed on the page, it meant he didn't officially possess these skills; they had simply been handed to him for this quest.

What bothers him, though, is whether or not they will become obsolete after the quest.

"So, astral projection, huh? You don't see that every day," Kent said with a smile, but he wasn't about to joke. The quicker he found her, the faster he could start making plans to rescue her.

Becoming a certain strange doctor for a moment wouldn't be a problem.

"Akira," Kent called out, and the Soul Weaver appeared.

[How can I be of help, Master?] Akira asked.

She and Gaia could be in different places at the same time, so he wasn't shocked when she appeared. A part of her consciousness appeared while another was working inside the tower.

"What can you tell me about astral projection?" Kent asked.

[Astral projection, huh? Well, that basically means you are projecting your soul and consciousness from your body and sending it to places your physical body cannot enter.

It cannot be sensed or noticed easily. Also, all forms of physical attacks are useless against it, so most assassins use this method to spy on their targets before attacking them.]

"Great. Then can I use soul attacks on people when in my astral form?" Kent asked. This sounded like something he should master, and perhaps it might save his life one of these days.

[Yes. If you have soul attacks, you can use them. However, astral projection uses more soul essence, so using soul attacks isn't ideal when in that form.

You will sustain soul damage if you run out of soul essence before your soul returns to your body.

Sometimes, you may even die just because of that, so it's always advised not to attack while in your soul form.]

Astral forms are mostly meant to enter places that cannot be accessed using the physical body, mainly because their presence will be nearly nonexistent.

If Kent were to use his astral form, he wouldn't be easily noticed.

However, even in his astral form, he could be detected if he were careless, so the best thing would be to focus all his energy on keeping his presence hidden.

"Well, I have soul attack immunity, so I'm not worried about being attacked. The problem now is my face being recognized in case I was noticed.

The goal is to keep her captors in the dark for now. So recognising me wouldn't be ideal."

[Master wouldn't have to worry about that since the astral form can take on any form you desire. If you want, you can simply turn into a bird and fly to your destination.

"Isn't that convenient?" Kent smiled.

His fear had been quelled, and now he could make his move. However, there was still something else he needed to know.

The astral form is indeed the best way forward; however, what happens when he gets trapped in that form from, let's say, soul imprisonment?

He is immune to soul attacks, but who is to say his soul cannot be trapped?

Kent knew the chances of the sect master being the culprit were high, so he wanted to be cautious. First, if he was indeed an evil practitioner, the soul arts aren't something he wouldn't know.

So then, how will he handle sudden intrusions if he is noticed?

That's a very important question that cannot be ignored, and Kent knew that. In fact, he wasn't about to get trapped just like that.

[Under normal circumstances, the master should have to worry about getting trapped. However, you have a connection with Aether Warden.

So, no matter the danger, even if a god traps your soul, she can easily flick her hand and release you.

And since you are connected to her, if you are in any trouble, she will know and come to your aid, so you don't have to worry.

Plus, your soul cultivation is at Tier 7. This alone makes your soul several times stronger than non-soul cultivators, so you have more soul essence to spend on hiding your soul's presence.]

"Then I am fortunate, I guess," Kent sighed.

He would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. However, he could only go with the flow since it had come down to it.

He was worried about getting trapped.

But knowing Elsa could do this much for him was also reassuring. This made him happy, knowing he was protected regardless of the situation.

'If only I could land one soul attack and take whoever is responsible out, wouldn't that be great?' Kent sighed again.

"Thank you, Akira. You are the best."

Right now, he had the means to locate the mysterious Nara, give her some hope, and find out more about the monster hiding inside the sect.

The strike team would move in when all discoveries were made, and, if lucky, he might just have a shot at killing an evil practitioner.
