Chapter 351: Making His Appearance

Chapter 351: Making His Appearance

"Hmmm, a mysterious ore hidden somewhere in the wild forest, huh? I wonder what it's made of," Kent muttered as he combed through the memories of Bright Faywood, who died without knowing how it happened.

Kent was told to kill and retrieve Bright's memories when he got the quest a few months back.

The aim of the quest was to get his memories.

This would let him know where to go next and who to kill next. Though there would be quests for that, getting to know in advance would be useful.

But now that Bright was dead, he got something even better. He now had the location of a mysterious ore found years ago when he was exploring the wild forest and got lost.

Thankfully, he found his way back, but not before discovering something this grand.

Before his death, Bright was planning on getting the battle dolls from Kent, and strangely, he had a way to upgrade them.

This shocked Kent, knowing someone had a different method to enhance the strength of his battle doll further.

However, now that Bright was no longer alive, he could only get the ore despite knowing monsters beyond one's understanding would protect it.

It has been years since Bright discovered the ore.

Per his memories, the ore would have surfaced years again due to natural events or beasts discovering it. But he is also confident it would still be there, waiting to be claimed.

"I will just handle the rescue mission first and then prepare for that later," Kent said.

He stood up and stretched. Bright Faywood's body had been discovered, and it was chaotic at the moment in his mansion.

But Kent didn't care, for he had completed the quest that gave him another memory key, some items he would check later, and the location of a metal ore, possibly a meteor like the one he used on Veydris

That was a good harvest.

"I must first visit the auction house and see how many came for the Spirit Enlightenment Fruit," Kent said.

He took to the air and started flying away. Now a Great Sage, moving through the air was not something he found difficult.

He passed by where the battle had happened, and from the devastation below, he could only shake his head and wonder who would be foolish enough to come after him again.

He had heard what Bright and his guard talked about, and he could tell that aside from the body of the forest king, people now wanted to get their hands on his treasures.

They wanted his five battle dolls, and they also wanted his money.

Naturally, he had already started planning to kill every last one without hesitation.

Since he had become a Great Sage and had tens of thousands of points yet to be distributed, he knew Transcendents wouldn't threaten him much now.

The three metal saints he had killed may have been blacksmiths rather than warriors, but he knew they could not kill him even if he were to face true warriors. As for Ascendants, he already had contingency plans against them.

Some had been hurt during the battle and retreated, with a few escaping unscathed, so he knew they would be coming after him.

As to when they will, he would wait for them to come.

He passed by the battlefield and soon arrived at the borders of Caprath City. After moving for a few kilometers, he appeared at the gate of the City.

"Identify yourself! Don't you know there's a no-flying rule in this city?" a guard shouted at Kent, who flew down and landed in front of the city gate.

"I wasn't flying above the city," Kent replied, looking at the guard with a frown.

"I don't have all day, brat. Identify yourself and state your business here. This city is no longer a place for casual visits, so don't make things hard for me," the guard snapped.

Kent narrowed his eyes at the guard, who looked rather smug.

It seemed that after the Ashlands' demise, the management of the city had become a headache. This even made guards become arrogant toward anyone.

He suspected as much, so he didn't get angry at him. But he wasn't friendly also because he didn't have time for such nonsense.

"I am Kent Madson, and I am not coming to this city; I am just passing through," Kent revealed his name, causing the guard to look at him wildly.

"Hahaha, if you are Kent, then I am a Kingdom protector." The guard laughed, drawing the attention of his fellow guards and others trying to enter the city.

"John, would you believe this brat? He said his name was Kent—the same Kent who fought against the Evil Sect and hundreds of warriors and walked away alive.

How many of him have we gotten this week alone?" he asked, causing his fellow guards to laugh at Kent, making the purple-haired brat look at all of them with pity.

"I'm sure he thinks saying such a name will grant him access to the city. Brat, you better turn around and crawl back to wherever you came from before I make you."

Even those trying to enter the city were looking at Kent disdainfully.

Most had tried to use his name to enter the city, but they only met ridicule and insults. Now, the real deal was entering the city, but he wasn't getting access because of all those people.

"Well, I tried to do this the easy way. Next, I'll use the hard way, so don't blame me if you die accidentally," Kent smirked and walked back.

"That's right, go away, brat. We've had enough of you peasants trying to use the name of such a brave young man to enter the city and do whatever you want."

Kent smiled and then waved his hand. Suddenly, four metal dolls appeared with their weapons drawn, shocking everyone.

"Destroy the guard," Kent gave the order, and the dolls, who only needed a command from their master, sprang into action.

"No, wait!"

One of the guards acted swiftly, stepping in to stop the events that were about to unfold. The guard who had been running his mouth just moments ago stood frozen, unsure of what to say.

"I tried to enter using my name, but you didn't allow me. Since I have somewhere to go and little time to get there, I can only use the hard way to pass."

Kent didn't even bother with the expressions on the faces of those around him. They all stared at him as if he were some kind of idol.

"Please, you can enter... It was our mistake for doubting you."

Kent smirked and walked through the gate that was opened for him. He didn't even bother to look back at the guard.

"Andy, you can pack your stuff and go. You are no longer required at the gate." After Kent was gone, the head of the guards spoke, and the guard realized he had made a huge mistake by looking down on everyone.

If Kent had arrived in a luxurious carriage, the guard would have probably kissed his feet and sucked up to him like a degenerate.
