"Alina, do you think Kent will agree to an alliance with my auction house?" Lady Lani asked, sitting under a blossom tree somewhere in the Gate Master's residence.
She is with Alina, Kent's woman who was acting just to maintain her cover...for now.
"He will, big sister. He gave you the ambrosia fruit, didn't he? So I doubt he will reject your offer to become partners," Alina replied, already waiting for how she would react when Kent arrived.
"Then do you think he will agree to also join the expedition to the Ancient Battlefield of Passing? He has proven to have what it takes to survive there."
"Just relax, big sister. I am here with you, so let me do the talking in case you cannot handle it," Alina said with a smile.
The look and behaviour of the auction master weren't something new to her.
She could tell Lady Lani was both eager to see him yet still shy and perhaps afraid, considering she still hadn't recovered from the events during the auction.
In fact, instead of recovering, she seemed to get worse every single day. The ladies ensured she got a good view of the action, so she could never recover that easily.
