Primordial Villain With A Slave Harem

Chapter 699: Return to Canisgard

"Future hubby…" Vex purred after I stepped through the [Warp Gate]. She was sitting on our bed elegantly, with one leg crossed over the other. Her kendo-style dress was covering most of her legs, only giving me a minute glance of her ankles.

"Future wife, it's good to see you," I replied. Thankfully, my mask was obstructing my surprised face. I didn't expect her to barge into our room while we were away.

"You left to have fun without me…?" I didn't know how this monster could possibly have the gall to act as if she were an abandoned puppy. Her dejected tone and droopy eyes wordlessly accused me of many atrocities.

"I mean, if you want to participate in our next day-long orgy session, you're more than welcome."

Her expression immediately underwent a great shift upon hearing my words, and she looked at me with a deadpan face. "Men… Level up, eat tasty meals, have sex, repeat. Is this all you think about?"

Kitsara replied in my stead with a question of her own. "Is there something else to think about?"

"It's good to have you back, princess…" Vex muttered dryly, visibly not used to a lady being so open about her animalistic needs and desires. As far as having a loose mouth filter went, Kitsara could easily give Vex a good run for her money. At least, so long as her father wasn't present. She seemed to be a bit shy in front of Vargis.

Vex's attitude shifted as she looked at our entourage. "Miss Ambition is here as well. Hi! I see you brought a new face as well," she said while eyeing Sylvaris.

After collecting herself from shock, the Mooncaller had consumed Rosie's final flower gift, becoming a Moonblessed Warden. Despite the class's name, it wasn't all about defense.

As for the flowers that grew on Rosie's branches, they hadn't been ruined, but each flower could only be used once. After a person inhales their fragrance into their lungs, they lose their magical properties. She had to grow new flowers, but she didn't know how long doing so would take.

"Greetings, Lady Vex. Please call me Moon," Sylvaris replied. Despite Vex knowing my name and quite a few more details, that didn't mean I trusted Black Fang enough to become an open book for them. As such, we decided to keep as many secrets as possible, we were all wearing our masks as well.

"You have a beautiful voice, Moon." Vex's aforementioned loose-mouth filter was already on full display. She often said whatever was on her mind even when it wasn't fitting the situation.

"Although I'm happy to welcome you into my bedroom at any time, would you care to elaborate on why you're here?" I asked, helping my mother-in-law so she did not have to deal with this eccentric woman.

"Oh! I waited for such a long time I almost forgot."

Vex grinned wickedly as she reached into her storage ring, pulling out two severed heads by their hair. She lifted them with the utmost casualness, as if they were nothing more than discarded trophies. The first belonged to Ryker while the second was Chicken, the annoying bitch of a woman who constantly manipulated the aforementioned man. Her features were twisted in the agony of her final moments, telling tales of an end that didn't end all too quickly.

The difference between the expressions of the two faces told me Ryker had met a swift end while Chicken, well… Not so much. Vex also found her irritating, it seemed.

A faint smirk lingered on Vex's lips as she examined them together with us before turning her gaze to me.

"Now that Maelstrom is in beastman lands, unless you want the whole Vesper Consortium to know you're more than a human with the Elemental Sovereign class, these lovely people were nothing more than hindrances. They would've snitched on you."

She tilted her head to the side. Her crimson eyes glinted with amusement while her lips curled up into the cruel, sadistic smile I'd seen in a while. Her current face reminded me of the time she sentenced Kael the Cryomancer to death with a euphoric scream. "Aren't I such a perfect, caring future wife? While my man-to-be was away rolling in bedsheets, I took it upon myself to clean house."

My heart skipped a beat.

"Damn, woman. You're so beautiful when you smile like that."

Vex's expression immediately brightened into a dazzling beam, looking genuinely pleased with the compliment. Meanwhile, every other person in the room stared at me in pure deadpan silence, not understanding what I found sexy in this evil woman.

Vex placed the heads back into her ring to be discarded later, not wanting to litter the dogkin royal palace.

"What's next?" I asked. With the deal between the Consortium and the Beastman Confederation secured, our diplomatic mission had been concluded.

We could officially return home right this moment and celebrate a mission success. However, none of us wanted to do that. Well, besides Ignis, perhaps.

Vex was all about killing the lionkin, while Raika was a battle-crazed woman who would never turn down a challenge this exciting. As for us, our primary goal was to save Blossom's sister and mother, who were enslaved by the yellow kittens, but we also wanted to farm XP and souls and lastly also help Kitsara's family in their war effort. While Ignis… He was along for the ride, I suppose.

"I believe we have two reasonable routes," Vex replied. "Either join Maelstrom and become part of the giant Consortium army or remain with the dogkin and help the beastkin side instead. We could go in our lonesome, but doing so wouldn't be smart. While it's true that I'm not only incredibly beautiful but also very strong, I'm not powerful enough to beat the strongest lionkin or Covenant members, especially if they gang up on us… If we run into them, it might be over for most of us."

I nodded in understanding. "The Consortium or the beastkin, huh…?"

It was a hard choice. Both had many pros and cons.

Vex cleared her throat with a sly smirk. "Khm! The Consortium will most likely be facing the Covenant and their giant undead hordes."

"I and my allies strongly suggest we stay with the beastkin."

My instant reply earned me an amused giggle from the white-haired babe sitting in front of us. "Mr. Devil, I feel like your decision has something to do with your knowledge that undead minions grant no XP."

"A wild and wholly baseless accusation."

"Is that so…? Well, you won't find me complaining. I would much rather butcher lionkin than crush undead monstrosities."

The two of us nodded at each other in sync, reaching a state of perfect mutual agreement.

With that, we left to greet my father-in-law.

We made our way through the grand halls of the Dogkin Palace. The deeper we went, the quieter it became. At the heart of it all was Vargis's study, a war room more than a place of leisure, where the true command of the dogkin forces took shape.

Upon arrival, most of the party remained outside, chatting idly or sharpening their minds in preparation for the coming war. Only Vex, Kitsara, and I stepped forward, pushing open the heavy wooden doors and stepping inside.
