Chapter 301 - 170: Two or Three Work Matters
Zhou Yuwen didn’t deliberately conceal his identity, mainly because a labor company and a courier station weren’t worth flaunting. They didn’t make much money to begin with, and both companies were set up by Liu Shuo’s rough and random methods.
Zhou Yuwen wasn’t a child who needed to report every little thing to everyone he met. @@novelbin@@
Both belonged to labor-intensive industries, not to mention they made little money and came with numerous annoyances. Take You Changjin for example; he could even find Zhou Yuwen and ask to arrange a job for someone.
If people knew the industries belonged to Zhou Yuwen, the annoyances would undoubtedly increase.
What Zhou Yuwen had in mind was to let Liu Shuo handle public disputes, such as external labor disputes or fights arising from conflicts between his men and outsiders. Zhou Yuwen certainly wouldn’t argue with people over such matters, Liu Shuo handled these things more fluidly.
He had only casually informed Lv Hui about it by chance.
But who knew, Lv Hui really thought Zhou Yuwen was just helping out at the courier station. Seeing how clean-cut the young man was, she thought he was easy to bully and casually called him "Little Zhou."
No sooner had she called out "Little Zhou," than Liu Shuo turned hostile, "Who are you calling?"
Lv Hui, still unclear on the situation, pointed at Zhou Yuwen, "Isn’t that Zhou Yuwen?"
She had met Zhou Yuwen only once, and Liu Shuo’s question made her think she had gotten the name wrong.
"You calling my brother by his name? What the fuck are you to have my brother work for you!?" Liu Shuo had a quick temper, and thanks to Zhou Yuwen, he had lived a smooth-sailing life after college, with people in their thirties and forties outside school willing to confront him, let alone Lv Hui. He went straight for Lv Hui with a tirade of abuse.
This left Lv Hui stunned, never expecting Liu Shuo to be so volatile. Confused by the scolding and feeling tears well up, she couldn’t help but want to cry.
She was a twenty-something fairy after all, surrounded by eighteen, nineteen-year-old girls. Liu Shuo berating her in front of everyone was like giving her no face at all.
Any normal person would have found it unbearable. With a pout, she ran out, feeling hurt.
Lv Hui was, after all, somebody Gao Yang had introduced, and Liu Shuo’s verbal assault was tantamount to showing no respect for Gao Yang, making it awkward for him.
Looking at the furious Liu Shuo, Gao Yang could only bite the bullet and try to mediate, "Brother Zhou, Shuo Brother, this is my fault. I didn’t make it clear to Sister Hui. She didn’t know about Brother Zhou’s identity, just calm down."
"Calm down, my ass! Asking my brother to work in front of me? What am I, then? Go out and clear things up with her. If she can work, she stays, if not, she can fuck off! No wonder she can’t find a job outside! With that kind of judgment, still looking for a job?" Liu Shuo was still radiating anger.
Hearing this, Jiang Xinyi felt a little awkward.
Twenty-something?
Can’t find a job outside?
Her face started to burn with embarrassment.
Damn, was he indirectly scolding her?
But why was his reaction so intense?
Jiang Xinyi sneaked a glance at Zhou Yuwen. In her view, it was only right for everyone to help each other out with work. Zhou Yuwen had told her that Liu Shuo owned the courier store.
Jiang Xinyi had thought Liu Shuo was some sort of tough guy, but now it seemed he just lacked brains.
How could someone so brainless run a courier station?
Zhou Yuwen gave Liu Shuo a symbolic kick, signaling him to back off.
It was just a minor issue after all. No matter whether it was a small courier station or a big company, helping each other out was the right thing to do. It was indeed Lv Hui’s manner of addressing him that was annoying.
Zhou Yuwen told Gao Yang to check on Lv Hui and offer an apology on Liu Shuo’s behalf.
"Tell her that’s just the way the boss’s personality is. If it doesn’t suit her, pay her 200 yuan and let her go," he said.
Gao Yang nodded, "I’ll take care of it right now."
After Gao Yang left, Zhou Yuwen gave Jiang Xinyi an apologetic smile, saying he was sorry she had to witness such a scene upon her arrival, and it was a bit embarrassing.
"This guy is just impulsive, but he’s not bad at heart. Don’t take it to heart," Zhou Yuwen said, patting Liu Shuo’s shoulder.
Sigh, he had intended to act a bit longer.
Before coming, he and Liu Shuo had agreed upon a plan.
Liu Shuo would play the boss, and he would stay on the sidelines.
After all, it was his counselor’s girlfriend. It made sense to keep a layer of separation to avoid being constantly bothered by You Changjin.

Yet the facade had barely lasted before it was pierced through.
Realizing his overreaction, Liu Shuo quickly smiled apologetically and said, "Sorry, Sister Xinyi, these people below me are unruly. I’m used to being rough, but you can be assured, I will definitely not treat you like that. You are introduced by my brother! I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but one good thing about me is that I’ll do whatever my brother says!"
Zhou Yuwen said, "Why the hell are you talking so much?"
"Get out there and move some goods," Zhou Yuwen ordered Liu Shuo.
Liu Shuo left with a grin.
Zhou Yuwen told Jiang Xinyi not to mind it.
"You can just sit here; the computer works. I was actually thinking of having Sister Hui earlier coordinate the work with you, but now he’s messed that up," he said.
Zhou Yuwen arranged for Jiang Xinyi to sit down, and she obediently did so.
However, listening to Zhou Yuwen, she found it amusing and said, "You told your teacher that this company was owned by your friend, so why do I get the impression that you’re the boss here?"
Zhou Yuwen said, "I am indeed helping out here."
"Just helping out?" Jiang Xinyi was very clever. The situation had been so obvious just now; if she couldn’t see what was really going on, she would be a fool.
What do you think?
