Qu Jing and Tao Tian both had a restless night's sleep.

Qu Jing couldn't sleep because Zhou Yuwen had casually said some encouraging words to her, making Qu Jing feel like she had established a connection with him. The more she thought about it, the happier she became, to the point where she even forgot how Zhou Yuwen had bullied her that day. In Qu Jing's view, Zhou Yuwen hadn't really bullied her; he was rather gentle with her. Qu Jing had a purpose for Zhou Yuwen; she hoped she could be like Lu Lin, staying by his side and receiving his protection.

So that night, as she lay in her dormitory's single bed, she hesitated about messaging Zhou Yuwen but didn't know what to say.

Without a doubt, Qu Jing was trying to seduce Zhou Yuwen. She thought she was quite good-looking herself, so why could Zhou Yuwen be attracted to Zheng Yanyan and Lu Lin but not her?

After lights out, the dormitory was dimly lit, and Qu Jing's phone cast a feeble glow by her bed. Zhou Yuwen had replied to every message she sent, which gave Qu Jing a feeling that he might be interested in her too.

After much deliberation, it was with her manicured hands that Qu Jing typed to ask Zhou Yuwen, "Zhou Yuwen, why aren't you asleep at such a late hour? Do you have insomnia?"

By then, it was already past one in the morning.

Zhou Yuwen replied to Qu Jing because he found this girl indeed interesting. In his view, it was already good that she didn't hate him, given the way he treated her, yet here she was clinging to him.

Lu Lin had said this was a kind of Stockholm syndrome and that such women are just pathetic.

So Zhou Yuwen asked her, "What about you, do you have it?"

"I certainly don't."

"Really don't?" Zhou Yuwen rolled over, straddling Lu Lin's outstretched arms, reaching out to pinch Lu Lin's long legs.

Today, Lu Lin was wearing Zhou Yuwen's pajamas, and her slender figure in men's sleepwear had a different kind of charm.

After Zhou Yuwen was satisfied and got off of Lu Lin, he went to take a shower in the bathroom.

Lu Lin's men's pajamas had been pulled off to reveal half of her body, her bare shoulders and a flush on her cheeks, presenting a different kind of allure.

Looking at the messages Qu Jing had sent on Zhou Yuwen's phone,

Lu Lin, knowing what Qu Jing meant, called out to Zhou Yuwen in the bathroom, saying your little bitch is looking for you again.

"Ah?" Zhou Yuwen didn't understand and popped his head out halfway.

Lu Lin waved the phone in her hand.

Zhou Yuwen said "Oh," and told her to reply for him, saying he was in the shower.

"Am I really going to say that?"

Seeing Zhou Yuwen insisting, Lu Lin straight away replied to Qu Jing.

"He's taking a shower, this is Lu Lin."

Having plucked up a lot of courage to message Zhou Yuwen, Qu Jing was momentarily stunned by the reply, feeling the embarrassment of being caught messing with someone else's husband.

"Oh, I, I didn't really need Zhou Yuwen for anything, just, just wanted to talk about Tiantian."

"Okay, I'll tell him later," Lu Lin responded.

Then Qu Jing didn't speak for a while. Unable to resist, she asked, "Lu Lin, are you, are you guys sleeping together now?"

"What?"

"It's nothing, I just wanted to ask if Zhou Yuwen and Zheng Yanyan has already broken up?"

"Not yet,"

"Ah?"

Seeing Qu Jing's cautious attitude, Lu Lin questioned her, "So you want to tell Yanyan about my relationship with Zhou Yuwen?"

"No, no, I'm not the kind who likes to gossip," Qu Jing quickly denied.

Lu Lin then asked, "So do you want to be Zhou Yuwen's lover too?"

"No, not at all, I, I don't!" Qu Jing quickly denied.

Lu Lin said, "That's fine, Zhou Yuwen actually likes you quite a bit."

"Really!?" Qu Jing immediately lit up with delight.

By this time, Zhou Yuwen had also finished showering and came out. Seeing Lu Lin on his phone chatting away, he asked, "What're you chatting about so intently?"

After taking the phone and having a look,

Zhou Yuwen looked displeased at Lu Lin and said she was just causing trouble, talking about lovers?

"You're not afraid people will talk."

"She wouldn't dare," Lu Lin said lazily, propping up her body with her hand.

"And this contact name, I think I've spoiled you, you're becoming more and more unbridled," Zhou Yuwen said, looking at the note on his phone.

But Lu Lin just giggled, finding it fun, having changed Qu Jing's contact name to 'bitch'.

Zhou Yuwen actually did mind and changed it back, saying Lu Lin was disrespectful.

Yet Lu Lin said, "Don't you think she really has a bit of a masochistic trait?"

Otherwise, how could she possibly like you?

"I changed not only hers but mine too," she added.

Lu Lin showed Zhou Yuwen that she had changed her contact name to 'good daughter'.

She also showed Zhou Yuwen her phone contacts, where he was listed as 'Daddy' in Lu Lin's phone.

Zhou Yuwen rolled his eyes at this and said, "Aren't you scared Yanyan might see that?"

Lu Lin crawled over to Zhou Yuwen and asked, "Are you scared?"

"Of course, I am scared."

"Oh then, I'll change it."

Zhou Yuwen then pulled her into his arms and said, "It's fine, actually, no need to change it."

"I need to teach you a lesson, you're getting cheekier by the minute," Zhou Yuwen said, holding her. Lu Lin laughed giggly, but there was a seriousness in Zhou Yuwen's joking words; the little girl was getting carried away.
