Chapter 516 - 244 Capital City? It's just so-so

Lv Hui didn't know Li Qiang's identity, but since he had requested her as a friend, she saw no reason to refuse and agreed after some thought. After finishing speaking, she didn't have anything else to do, while Liu Shuo had no clue about the game. He was still looking over the rules and asking Lv Hui how to play.

Lv Hui checked his character and said, "You just need to say you're a villager."

"Is it that simple?"

"Mmhmm."

In fact, their game of Werewolf was doomed not to be standard, since several people were playing for the first time. After everyone had spoken in turn, Lv Hui checked everyone's profiles and noticed they were all low-level accounts displaying only their nickname, gender, age, and hometown address.

Zhou Yuwen's profile was the most ridiculous; except for his gender, everything else was fake.

Also, from their voices, they sounded quite young and not like the rich second generation she had imagined.

So, Lv Hui couldn't help but ask Liu Shuo, who was fiddling with his phone, "What sort of people has Zhou Yuwen invited here?"

Liu Shuo, seeming a bit upset that Lv Hui was still using Zhou Yuwen's name, reached under the blanket, pinched Lv Hui's butt, and said, "You're already my girlfriend; why are you still calling my brother by his name!"

Liu Shuo's pinch was neither gentle nor too hard, but it caught Lv Hui by surprise and actually hurt a bit. She couldn't help but mumble, "Why did you pinch me?"

A bit irritated, Lv Hui retorted, "He's so much older than me; what should I call him if not by his name?"

"Call him 'brother,' just like me!" Liu Shuo said, as if it were the most natural thing.

Lv Hui was completely baffled. Liu Shuo climbed onto the bed, grinned at Lv Hui, and teased, "Not only do you have to call me 'bro,' you have to call me 'hey bro, my sweet little sister!'"

Liu Shuo sounded sleazy as he tried to pounce on her.

Lv Hui couldn't stand it and quickly pushed Liu Shuo away, saying, "Stop it, we're playing a game."

"So, are you going to call me that or not?"

"Alright, alright, I'll call you that; are you happy now?" Lv Hui, feeling helpless after finally pushing Liu Shuo away, asked him, "Who are these people, anyway? Are they Zhou Yuwen's friends?"

"Oh, the girl is my brother's girlfriend's roommate; that guy is his roommate too," Liu Shuo replied, not lingering on the matter as he found Werewolf quite interesting—it was mostly about lying, something he understood.

Hearing that the guys were Zhou Yuwen's roommates, Lv Hui instantly got bored; were they just a group of students?

Watching Liu Shuo dive under the blanket to play with his phone, Lv Hui felt sad for herself; at 25, she was playing house with a bunch of college students.

But then she thought again and asked, "Isn't one of Zhou Yuwen's roommates from Capital City?"

"Oh, you mean that idiot?" Liu Shuo responded without looking up.

"Huh?" Lv Hui was puzzled.

"There is one," Liu Shuo said.

"My brother's girlfriend is from Capital City. That idiot tried to pursue her and got a beating from me," Liu Shuo spoke candidly.

"You beat him up?" Lv Hui was taken aback.

"Yeah," Liu Shuo finally looked up, "Is there a problem?"

Lv Hui, seeing Liu Shuo's indifferent attitude, felt somewhat disdainful. She felt it was below her dignity to have Liu Shuo as her boyfriend.

She remembered a playful comment from one of her college professors during her associate degree program. The professor had said, "If you girls studying at a vocational college don't aim for a bachelor-degree boyfriend, that shows a lack of ambition."

All of Lv Hui's past boyfriends had graduated from prestigious universities.

During her university days, while playing the online dance game, she met a graduate student from Tsinghua University.

In her second year, Lv Hui traveled alone by train to Capital City to meet the graduate student, a journey that took a full day and night.

She spent three days in Capital City with the graduate student. Although he wasn't wealthy, he was refined and wore black-rimmed glasses, a testament to the caliber of students produced by one of the country's top universities.

Those three days were unforgettable for Lv Hui.

They had an online relationship for half a year.

Later, when the graduate student said he was going to study in the United States, they lost contact.

Even now, Lv Hui couldn't help but fantasize about possibly encountering her 'moonlight' someday on TV or in some backstreet, out of the blue.

"It's nothing; just try not to resort to violence so casually. You could at least learn something from Zhou Yuwen... brother," Lv Hui had intended to use Zhou Yuwen's full name but, seeing Liu Shuo's expression, she reluctantly added 'brother.'

Liu Shuo snorted, "What do you know, woman."

"Brother and I, one with brains, one with brawn—we've got it all!" Liu Shuo looked quite proud. Speaking of Chang Hao, Liu Shuo recalled, "That guy from Capital City is an idiot. He didn't even consider his own worth and tried to steal my brother's girl. I told him back then, I'd beat him up every time I see him!"

Hearing Liu Shuo talk this way, Lv Hui secretly curled her lip, thinking he really had no clue about the prestige of Capital City.

Not to mention anything else, just its infrastructure alone was incomparable to other lesser places.

Capital City's well-connected railway system could take you anywhere you wanted to go.

And with daily concerts, you could see different stars every day.

Having dated a man from Capital City, Lv Hui knew quite a bit about it. Mainly, her 'ex-boyfriend' always somewhat boastfully prided himself on being from Capital City, mentioning things like having the best hospital right by his home or how close his place was to the Forbidden City.
