Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 331: Homecoming (2/2)

Almond opened his eyes in the forest on Earth and smiled.

"Now, let's get started. First, I should deal with the meteoroids."

Almond waved his hand, creating a spatial signal wave that traveled to all sides, encompassing the whole Earth in a second.

"It seems they are preparing for this incoming trouble," Almond smiled.

In a single second, Almond scanned the entire planet and registered everything with his spatial awareness.

Indeed, Almond had a natural breakthrough in Space Elemental Mastery. It was already at 99%, and he just needed a little push, which that Spider Butterly Griminion with space powers gave them.

And…this breakthrough was massive. It was above this layer's capacity to handle his spatial powers. Hence, it was suppressed by the Grimworld Tutorial's power, so he couldn't display its full power here.

However, whatever he could display, along with his vast arsenal of knowledge and assets he gained that allowed him to literally make Mythical-rank skills, would allow him to dominate as the top dog of the first layer.

At least, that was what Almond believed and he wanted to make sure that he make that a reality by working his ass off.

'My subconsciousness, make sure to learn and comprehend the intents. I'll use whatever I get.'

'For now, let's make a hero's entrance.' Almond grinned, feeling joyful and also mischievous as he was finally here.

With the scanning he did just now, he knew the spatial coordinates of GAA, so Almond executed a long-distance teleport as he vanished and arrived eight thousand kilometers away, right on top of the GAA headquarters.

Well, a bit higher than the top of the headquarters because at the moment, all available old monsters and top powerhouses had gathered in front of a large device in control of two old monsters—Aarav Patel and James Smith.

The device was made of a unique material, a metal with a living pulse, fused with pure Mana affected by specific elemental formations.

Almond was above, watching them while veiling himself.

Suddenly, Lily looked up, her eyes moving around his exact location.

'Lily…' Almond felt his heart in waves. 'I am here.'

*Phoooonk*

Suddenly, a loud horn rang all over the headquarters, and Astra A.I.'s voice rang on the platform.

"The meteoroids have entered the Earth's outermost atmosphere. Their energy levels are increasing."

"Are they planning on dealing maximum damage with their entry?!"

"Damn them!"

"Everyone, let's start! The device is ready to buff. This will hurt because it will overload your physical cells and make your mana volatile."

"Let's fire our best shots at them." Admiral Rudra clenched his fist, his aura surging. "Activate the device."

However, Almond created a simple lockdown skill and used it, causing everyone to freeze while he appeared before them, floating ten meters away.

"No need, I'll handle this," Almond smiled as everyone unfroze, their expressions shocked and stunned.

The night sky was brightening as the seven meteoroids were glowing fiercely with magical energy, intending to cause destruction.

However, Almond turned around as his eyes glinted with power, radiating his will.

Stretching his hand, a whirling maw appeared from which Almond pulled out his synthesized spirit sword and made a horizontal and vertical slash at a slow speed as two black slashes with eccentric colors streamed, constantly changing the design on them, making a + suspended dreadfully.

And soon, they began spiraling, rotating.

Everyone behind the platform felt it at that moment, the overwhelming power of intent that permeated that attack, and it suffocated them when they tried to scan it.

In the next moment, Almond simply waved his hand as the strange spiral vanished, but then, the seven meteoroids that were falling suddenly dimmed and the exact dreadful spirals with edge, but now they crackled with a storm of colorful blades.

The meteoroids came to a screeching halt while the people inside them panicked, communicating with one another.

Alas, what could they do in but one second?

*Poof*

Complete erasure.

The seven meteoroids were shattered and shredded before Almond dumped the residuals away somewhere in outer space with merely a blink.

"And done." Almond turned around and smiled as he made a gentlemanly bow. "I am back."

*Swoosh!*

Suddenly, a giant black wolf head materialized behind Almond, positioning him in front of its open maw filled with jagged crimson teeth.

Looking up, he saw the wolf's eyes on him and smiled before he saw Lily in front of him.

"Hi, love."

*Snap*

The wolf shut its mouth on both of them and vanished.

The platform was eerily silent for a second before it was broken by Admiral Rudra, who had a big smile on his face.

"He's back."

"Old man, he just wiped out seven meteoroids enchanted with magic," Aryan said with a speechless expression.

"Yeah, your father looks like he wished Almond was his son instead of you," Silvester laughed out loud. "Anyway, the rascal is back, eh?"

"That was one way to make an entry, I suppose," Arjun wryly smiled.

"But what did he do?! That was crazy powerful. Admiral, do you know?"

"I think...he created a skill specifically to destroy the meteors and completely erase them from our atmosphere, executed it, and succeeded.

"..."

"Well, it seems that we are done here. With Almond coming back, we'll be able to do much more in the next War event and on the Battlefield," James said a smile on his face just like everyone else's. Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire

With all the troubles and downward trends for their whole world, everyone had been down and just working their butts off.

But Almond's appearance and his act just gave everyone a fresh breath of air that energized their minds and purpose.

"I don't think we are meeting Almond anytime soon with Lily taking him, haha. I'm going to the Labyrinth and finish my leveling. Only got seven hours before the exit portals open, so we can leave then. Who else is coming?"

Soon, the whole party scattered to do their own things. Some went to the Labyrinth, while Admiral Rudra and others who had finished their leveling returned to the Battlefield.

Duchender City.

Inside a dark abandoned warehouse, shadows gathered and opened a strange door from which three humanoid figures emerged with different types of horns and skin structures, indicating their unique racial origins.

"Ugh, I hate oxygen," the man with green lizard-like hell and creepy yellow-orange vertical eyes stretched his thin limbs while making a disgusted expression.

"Why does it matter? It's not like anyone needs any sustenance energy other than Mana once they reach Epic-rank lifeform."

"I just hate it."

"You two, didn't you see those meteors getting destroyed? Who was it? Lord Emissory didn't say there was someone capable of doing that."

"Unless that someone is an Arcane Champion?"

"But didn't the one this planet had disappeared?"

"Let's report this to the Lord Emissory first."

The woman with metallic feathers on her body and busty curves used a device as a masked figure appeared on a screen.

"Lord Emissory, we three arrived using the item, but our soldiers and things in the meteoroids are gone."

"Gone?"

"They were destroyed and completely vanished before they could crash. Someone on this planet did that."

The figure on the screen was silent for three whole seconds, but behind the mask, if one saw the eyes, one would know the annoyance bubbling within.

"I'll contact you later. Let me find out what I can on my own."

"Wait, what do we do in the meantime? Just the three of us without items and support can't do anything against that guy who destroyed those enchanted meteors."

"Yeah, someone powerful is here, and he's an Arcane Champion because I don't think anyone else could do something like that. A peak Epic-rank powerhouse can't do that unless that person is an Arcane Champion."

"Lay low and disguise yourselves. We might have to rechange our plans as well as targets depending on what I find out."
