Chapter 129 129: Auto Constructs, And Greeting The Envoy
"Wow..." Zafira muttered, staring at the sight in front of her.
There were 15 crystal constructs in total, and of course...

Rael whistled to himself. Damn, I should probably get that second effect too... just in case.
He had wasted all of his mana on 15 of these guys, and most of them got the second special effect.
Those who didn't were simply sorting files or handling the less serious rulings.
And of course, Rael gave all of them speech.
Thankfully, it was cheaper since he was creating them from scratch, not modifying them.
Nonetheless, his job here was done.
But just as he was about to leave the room, he halted.
"Aren't you going to leave as well?" Rael asked. "You know my constructs can take care of everything here."
Zafira smiled and shook her head. "I'd love to, but these are my parents we're talking about. I'd rather be 100% certain this can work... on the other hand, do you want to meet the Yrgon envoy?"
Rael tilted his head. "The what now...? Oh right... is that Aria girl still here?"
"Yep." Zafira nodded. "The king of Yrgon has been asking about her quite a lot. I kept dodging questions relating to you, but you should probably meet up with her before you go meet their envoy."
"And I take it the negotiations went well?" Rael asked with a smirk.
Zafira rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah... you did a good job. They were a bit desperate from what I could tell, and you could've likely extracted more from them. But it's a good first act, and it definitely works."
Rael chuckled. "Thank you. And yeah, good luck, Zafira, I'll see you later... back at the mansion?"
"Sure." Zafira waved. "Bye bye."
He smiled and took his leave.
One of the things he'd forgotten was the king of Yrgon's daughter, Aria Virelorn.
She's probably going to have the young mistress syndrome since I haven't seen her for so long... but it's fine... I dealt with Seryn, how bad could it be? Rael thought with a confident look.
Nonetheless, he approached some of the guards, and they led him to her room.
It was on the other side of the palace, but it was well maintained, and there were plenty of maids running around, taking care of the menial tasks.
And of course, he soon saw Aria sitting on a bench with her finger outstretched.
There was a small butterfly lingering on her finger, almost as if it were dancing.
However, when Rael came within several meters of her, the butterfly flew away, and Aria turned to him with a frown.
"You haven't let me shadow you," she stated. "I thought that was what we agreed upon?"
"And I told you I had every right to decline your shadowing," Rael replied sternly. "But I'll have you know, the only reason you didn't see me was because I wasn't even in Celestara."
"Then where were you?" Aria asked, crossing her arms as her white eyes narrowed. "Perhaps with a lover?"
Rael shrugged. "Yep, I was out with my 294 lovers. I had a blast, so it took a while. I'm back though, and yeah, follow me. Your father sent an envoy."
She was a little stunned by his words, but she still nodded and followed after him.
It seemed like she found it a bit difficult to distinguish between jokes, but that was to be expected from someone as sheltered as she was.
Though I wonder why she changed her look? Rael pondered.
She used to have long, straight black hair—but now the back was curly, and she had bangs.
Aria definitely seemed gorgeous, but since she was basically older than him, he saw her as nothing but a spoiled brat.
However, just as he left the courtyard and saw the rows of carriages in the distance, a particular system pop-up made him—and everyone else—halt.
<Emergency Event!>
<Rael Sutekh, The Platinum Overlord, has obtained the key to the Depths!>
<Objective: Convince Rael Sutekh, The Platinum Overlord, to allow you to enter the Depths.>
<Rewards: Unique Class (Legendary) | +150% EXP booster until level 200>
Well, I'll be fucking damned. Rael frowned. The fucking developers or whatnot decided to mess with me... but how exactly are they...
He was a man of many ideas.
And right now, he had a massive fucking idea.
"Oi, Xavier. If you can hear me, set the boxes to an auction-style exchange. Make it unlimited so the highest bid wins. And I want you to do that for each and every single one of those boxes, got it?" Rael shouted, startling Aria.
"W-Why are you shouting!?"
"Don't worry about it, I'm just trying to get a little richer," Rael replied with a hum.
Yet as he returned his gaze to the envoy, he spotted a particular figure to the side.
It was a blue crystal construct wearing a cowboy hat and holding an oversized katana.
Of course, it was none other than Chop-E.
Rael flashed a nod at Chop-E, and it tipped its cowboy hat at him.
It's grown quite a lot. I should probably give Chop-E some upgrades later... Rael thought as he approached some chubby man at the very front of the envoy.
"Greetings, everybody. I've come out to personally welcome you all to Celestara. I hope you enjoy your stay," Rael said in a magnanimous voice.
At the same time, Aria gave a curt bow. "Welcome, Duke Lorox. It's a wonder you managed to make it out this far."
Duke Lorox scoffed as he looked Rael up and down. "Why is the king of Celestara wearing casual clothes to greet me? Do you not think of us as equals?"
"First of all, I have no idea who you are. Second of all, you put your pants on the wrong way," Rael replied, causing the Duke to glance down in panic.
But he couldn't see much because his belly blocked the view.
Nonetheless, since Rael gave the Duke a little side-quest to figure out whether or not he was bullshitting, it was now time to find out why they were here in the first place.
Rael gestured toward the palace with a malevolent smile.
"We should take this talk inside, dear envoys. Follow me."
What do you think?
