Re: Player

Chapter 287 [Alepsia's Fury!]

"[World Magic: The First Light!]"

Alepsia unleashed her magic, creating a bright light all around the area, healing all the angels around, increasing their power to a new high. While the other 6 Gods, bound by their rules, decided to use the next most powerful move they could unleash.

-Whooosh!

Reaching right in front of Laplace, Alepsia punched him as hard as she could, though she was blocked by one of the Generals, a bulky guy made up of branches and wood, that stepped in between the two of them.

"Barie! How dare you ignore my command? I do not need protection from the likes of these!" Laplace shouted as he saw Barie, one his general specialized in defence, protecting him by taking that powerful attack.

"Weaklings shouldn't interfere," Alepsia continued with her attack before…

-BOOOOM!!!

She pushed away Barie, far back into the realm where they came from. Her eyes not losing focus as she kept moving towards Laplace with fury written all over her face. If not for Adam, she might have lost everything without being able to do even a single thing.

And the main perpetrator behind it all was Laplace.

Though she was angry, she also knew that Laplace was weakened right now and would get back to full power within minutes if let off. Hence, she needed to finish this before he did so.

-BAAAAM!!!

-Clank!!!

A fist from one side and a blade from another. Each blocked by a shield and a sword created out of light. Alepsia ignored the two Generals as she materialized the two weapons, while still moving towards Laplace at the same pace as before.

"My liege!"

"Your Highness!"

"Sir Laplace!!!!!"

And as Alepsia reached closer to Laplce, about a meter in front of him, he still didn't spare her a gaze as his eyes were fixed on Adam Wesker who was fixing the crack in the sky, almost completing it with his eyes focused at the sky.

His generals were barely holding against the Goddesses, while the Titans and the Giants were blocked by the Higher Gods and the Angels. Not just them, there were even the demons who were protecting the Angels from any sort of negative attacks.

It was as if the whole world had come together to stop him.

"You do not have the liberty to look away," Alepsia spoke as she created a sword of high density light. This sword contained more than half of her powers right now, and was enough to destroy almost half the Light Kingdom.

This was to make sure that Laplace is gone once and for all.

Though…

Before the attack reached Laplace's neck, he took a single glance at Alepsia before he mumbled,

"[Command: Cancel!]"

The light sword slowly crumbled into sparkles before vanishing as if it never existed. Alepsia's eyes widened as she observed that phenomenon before Laplace spoke," mere Gods shouldn't interfere in the matter of the Fate Weavers."

And then slowly lifting his hand, he pointed a finger towards Alepsia.

-Bam!

Though before he could use his attack, a foot stomped it in another direction towards the sky.

-BOOOM!!!

A massive laser attack shot up in the sky, in the direction where Laplace's finger was pointed now, while the one who stomped it away, observed him with a keen look before she asked,

"Not even I, Laplace?"

"Equi," Laplace looked at the girl who once travelled with him. The Goddess who should have been banished into a space-time prison. For her to be present here, at this moment, at this time. It was as if fate itself was telling Laplace that he can't win.

"He is a Fate Weaver. They have these annoying authorities called [Commands], that defy the very common sense that this world is built on," Equi explained about the power that Laplace just used. While Alepsia, understanding her words, asked the most important question,

"What are its drawbacks?"

-BOOOM!!!!

Equi punched Laplace only for him to block it with his bare hands. He was hurt, but as his powers were returning, he was now able to take normal attacks from these Goddesses.

"They have to be spoken. One command at a time. The user must focus the command. The command has to be specific. Once placed, it cannot be taken back and yeah… " Equi named all the things she knew about commands before she moved a bit away, escaping Laplace's grasp.

And then she continued," the commands have their own special conditions for activation. Each with its own peculiarities."

Alepsia nodded before she created dozens of arrows in the sky, and then powered them up enough to damage, or at least weaken Laplace.

-Fi! Fi! Fi! Fi! Fi!

Each of those light arrows fell at a rapid speed, while Alepsia moved towards him again, creating another Sword of the same intensity as before. Her eyes locked at Laplace, she looked at Equi, who also moved in for another punch.

"[Solaris Light!]" Alepsia added another layer to her attack.

"[Equivalent Exchange: The Heaviest and the Strongest!]" Equi followed her timing as well. Laplace looked at both of them with a slightly irritated look as he spoke,

"[Command: Cancel!]"

Once again, Alepsia's magic was gone. Both the arrows and the sword. But Equi's attack wasn't as she reached closer to him, almost reaching his face. Though as the distance between them reduced to a few centimeters.

-Whoosh!

Laplace teleported exactly a few steps behind, enough for him to dodge her attack. And as she saw her lose her balance, he moved in closer for another attack.

-BOOOM!!

Alepsia came in between, taking most of the attack before she was pushed away along with Equi, far away from Laplace. At this time, he felt that his powers were almost reaching back to his prime. It should take another minute to reach it there.

But that was still too long. He looked at Adam Wesker, fixing the crack, almost done with it. He too should be finished within a minute.

At this point, Laplace could feel it.

The efforts that he had put in all this was going to wash away. So he stopped caring about that. Now his goal was different. It was to end the life of the Fate Weaver who destroyed his entire plan…

It was cruel for Laplace. But since it has reached this point, he has more or less accepted it as a failure.

"I will make sure you suffer for eons, you bastard," Laplace mumbled before he took the first step towards Adam. His eyes focused enough to ignore everything around him, not sparing a single glance to any of the Gods or the Titans.

His only goal was now… to kill Adam.
