Chapter 22: Heading To The Black Market!
Chapter 22: Heading To The Black Market!
"You heard correctly it's an E rank and I can only heal my self, not others. "
The middle ages man's face twitched rapidly, making Lucian ask out of concern.
"Are you alright sir?"
The man took in a deep breath.
"I'm fine. Just need to take my drugs. The secretary will answer to you while I'm gone, my sincere apologies."
With that, he turned around and left immediately.
Of course Lucian knew what was going on and he couldn't blame the old man. The guy had thought he had awakened something good and it turned out to be a self healing talent.
The secretary face had turned cold as well. "Please come with me to the registration area. "
After which they arrived at an office with hight tech equipments surprising the place.
"Place your hand on the crystal we need the system to record your Genetic information."
Lucian frowned. He didn't know if this test would reveal his real talent. Hence he hesitated.
But then he remembered he had the Heaven Cloaking Technique. He instantly activated it to the extreme while also purposefully supressing his regeneration speed to 0.000000001%(A/N: Shh, I exaggerated okay?)
"Please sir, I need to record and attend to the others. The faster you cooperate the faster you can get your badge and leave this building. "
The Secretary said rudely.
In that instant, a burst of bloodlust and killing intent surged out from Lucian's eyes as he glanced at the lady.
Cold, extreme cold so chilling it seemed closed to death. The secretary could see blood on the wall, corpses scattered on the ground as a single man stood there, looking down at the carnage with a sadistic grin.
"Done!"
A loud voice immediately interrupted her 'day dream'.
Her face was pale at this point and cold sweat could be seen trailing down her back. It took a few seconds but she managed to recover.
"U-uhm. Okay, your information has been registered and here is your National Identity card. To use the federation's Cyberspace, your full name as well as your middle name and last name is your user name while your password is your National Identity Number. Please make sure to change it immediately after you log in for your own safety."
While she was saying, her voice was trembling the whole time and she didn't dare look at Lucian's face in the slightest. He had a lot acted her too death!
Lucian smiled politely. "Thank you very much."
With that, he took the Identity card and left. He didn't feel bad for having to scare her, she deserved it in the first place.
...
Arriving at a Cybercafe, he directly logged into the Human Alliance Federation's Cyberspace, Changed his password into 'Baltzer's Master' before directly applying for college.
His face changed slightly when he noticed that most colleges application had closed. The only one that was left was the an academy called The Primordial Godslayer University.
Some people joked around that this University didn't just reap the lives of monsters, but if their students instead.
Actually, it was nice part of the top 3 prestigious universities in the continent. However, they got weak due to some reasons related to a massive portal appearing within the vicinity of the College, monsters invaded, it took almost all their strength to wipe out the monsters and clear the dungeons. Which is why their rankings have regressed.
Although Lucian didn't know this. He knew this University is were those people with little to no talents or ability go to try their luck at becoming something. Some die and some grow up to become Stronger.
'I don't care. I'm not going there for their resources anyways, I will make my own resources.'
Inputting the necessary information, he registered for the college and a message popped up on the computer screen.
[Thanks for choosing Primordial Godslayer University. We will see you in a week for the Acceptance Trial.]
'A week?' Lucian's eyes furrowed deeply. A week was definitely too close. There wouldn't be much time to prepare at all.
Calming himself down he took in a deep breath. He still needed to purchase a meditation technique and a mana storage item. That way he could summon more monsters.
Moreover, their are lots of items in his storage space that he needed to sell also.
Exiting the Cybercafe, he turned towards a particular direction and stared walking.
...
"Sir! Sir!! There's a message for you sir.""
A stewards rushed into the study room as he said in a hurry.
The Mayor was immediately angered. "What did I say about rushing into my study room announced?"
"I apologize sire. I just came to inform you that there's some information about the kid called Lucian."
Mayor Grant's angry expression froze but then turned cold. "Send a message to those two, they must use every means necessary to capture him, but not to kill him. He's mine."
The Steward nodded his head and left. Mayor Grant was left alone in his study room, his eye's shimmering with a dangerous glint. He didn't say anything when the kid sullied his daughter because he thought the kid might actually have a bright future. However, now that his real talent is revealed, what's the use of living him alive?
...
After a few minutes of walking, Lucian arrived at a dilapidated street. The street seem to be abandoned and even the buildings there had been destroyed with no one living around has portal had ones opened up here, wiping out the people previously in this street and the next.
Lucian stopped when he arrived before a large broken down store.
He suddenly went forwards and knocked on the door in a particular rhythm.
"Knock... knock, knock...Knock."
Silence reigned for a few seconds before the door suddenly opened up.
"Your pass fee?" A voice that sounds like metals scratching causing each other sounded out.
Lucian frowned slightly, Instructor Lorraine didn't say anything about this.
Lucian immediately smiled and replied. "How about your death? Would that suffice?"
What do you think?
