Chapter 267: 267 Ancient Variant Dragon Bee (Third Update)
Chapter 267: Chapter 267 Ancient Variant Dragon Bee (Third Update)
“Damn it, it’s only been three days; how has this Demon Monkey become even more formidable?”
Three days ago, Sun Wukong’s control over his domain was still at the first phase of mastery, but three days later, Sun Wukong had already advanced to the second phase of control, equal to Real Man of Jade Cauldron, which left Real Man of Jade Cauldron utterly shocked.
This Demon Monkey, Sun Wukong, possessed such strong learning abilities and his progress was inhumanly fast. What took oneself hundreds of years to accomplish, he completed in just three days!
Beyond the shock in Real Man of Jade Cauldron’s heart surged a dense killing intent. Having such an enemy was not a good thing for him or for the entire Taoist Sect!
Although Sun Wukong was currently an official in the Heavenly Court, a vice-general of the Heavenly River Navy, Real Man of Jade Cauldron could tell from their conflicts that this Demon Monkey’s nature was untamed, and he would not submit to anyone. He was surely only biding his time, destined to turn against the Heavenly Court one day.
In Ancient Primeval times, the Demon Clan rose rapidly among the Myriad Races because it produced two exceptionally talented Demon Emperors, Heavenly Emperor Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi, who gathered a large number of powerful demon immortals to establish the Demon Clan’s Heavenly Court and dominated Primeval for ten million years. If not for the rise of the Witch Race and the subsequent two monumental wars with the Ancient Demon Clan that shook Primeval, the Human Race would not have had a chance to rule these realms.
Now, with Sun Wukong, a monstrous and mutant Demon Monkey emerging within the Three Realms, possessing innate strength and talent far surpassing that of Heavenly Emperor Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi at the same realm, if he were left to continue developing, and one day proved the Tao and became an actual Demon Great Saint, then things would really become troublesome. It was very possible that the Demon Clan might regain the glory of the Ancient Demon Court, and then, the Human Race might not always be the masters of the Three Realms!
No, no matter what, he must exterminate this Demon Monkey and absolutely not give him any chance to grow further; even if it meant breaking taboos, he must eradicate him!
In the blink of an eye, Real Man of Jade Cauldron, with a determined mind, fiercely decided, gritted his teeth, summoned the Sword of Trapping Immortals, injected it with his lifeblood essence to control it against Sun Wukong’s attacks, and took out a cloth bag from his chest, opening it. A faint sound of tearing through the air arose, and it seemed something had come out of it, but none of the observers saw anything.
“What is that?”
Just because others couldn’t see it didn’t mean Sun Wukong couldn’t. His Void-Breaking Divine Eye was fully activated, especially now that it had reached the newly attained fourth phase of Void-Breaking Starry Eyes. What Real Man of Jade Cauldron pulled out from the bag was a strange flying insect, somewhat resembling a bee, but its entire body was completely transparent. When it flew out of the bag, it was only the size of a regular honeybee, but in the blink of an eye, it grew as big as a small pig, flapping its wings as it dove towards him, making no sound at all.
If it weren’t for the Void-Breaking Divine Eye, perhaps Sun Wukong would be as confused as those gods and immortals watching from the Hao Tian Mirror in the martial arts field outside, possibly thinking that Real Man of Jade Cauldron was merely bluffing—what a mistake that would be!
“Old hag, trying to assassinate me, your grandpa Sun, with a poisonous insect?”
The strange flying insect was incredibly fast; in a flash, it reached Sun Wukong’s side, turned around, and fiercely aimed its stinger at Sun Wukong’s neck. Under the sight of the Void-Breaking Starry Eyes, Sun Wukong clearly saw a sinister glow on the stinger. Once stung, even his Diamond Indestructible Body might not withstand it, and it was certainly poisonous!
Sun Wukong was wearing the Ruyi Divine Armor, almost entirely covered, but there was still a gap at the neck. If the strange insect’s stinger penetrated this gap, it could definitely reach Sun Wukong’s neck. Even with the Diamond Indestructible Body, Sun Wukong didn’t dare to be careless in the face of the unknown. If the stinger truly penetrated his defense and got into his body, that would be dangerous.
The Chaos Primordial Force could assimilate all things, true, but this assimilation took time. Who knew how potent the venom of this strange flying insect was? If it acted especially fast, and took effect before the Chaos Primordial Force could begin its assimilating process and subdued Sun Wukong, even if just for a breath or two, it would be deadly!
This was in the midst of fierce combat, and what Real Man of Jade Cauldron held was the Sword of Trapping Immortals! The Sword of Trapping Immortals was unstoppable, especially with the added power of the Trap Heaven Domain. A moment or two was enough for Real Man of Jade Cauldron to chop Sun Wukong into seventeen or eighteen pieces!
The Eight-Nine Profound Skill made Sun Wukong’s physical body peerless, and his Diamond Indestructible Body had an extremely strong recovery ability. The Way of Transformation also gave him many more lives; as long as his primordial spirit was not extinguished, his body could recover even if it was severed. But if struck by the Sword of Trapping Immortals, it might not be so; the Slayer Sword Qi within the sword could eradicate even the primordial spirit!
With a flash of movement, Sun Wukong dodged the strange flying insect’s stinger attack and swung his Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod at the strange flying insect. The insect, however, suddenly shrank, dodged the strike of the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod with a flicker.
“This critter, so nimble!”
Sun Wukong continued swinging the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod, but missed several times and couldn’t help but feel secretly alarmed. The strange flying insect could shrink to the size of a grain of rice, and hitting it with the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod was like using a cannon to hit a mosquito, extremely strenuous, and its body was quite agile, impossible to hit!
“This Demon Monkey can actually see the Dragon Bee!”
Real Man of Jade Cauldron felt a shock within his heart. This peculiar insect, known as the Dragon Bee, was an exotic beast from ancient times. It could vary greatly in size, reaching up to a thousand feet at its largest and as small as dust at its smallest. It was an extremely formidable creature back in ancient times, whose tail stinger contained deadly poison. Unless one had Proven the Tao and Become a Saint, it was absolutely impossible to resist. Once stung, one would definitely become completely paralyzed and then get swallowed as it expanded. Real Man of Jade Cauldron had accidentally acquired this Dragon Bee larva and had spent a great deal of effort to awaken it from its deep slumber, and had been carefully raising it until now, nearly reachng adulthood.
The most terrifying aspect of the Dragon Bee was that during its attack, its entire body would turn transparent, formless and invisible, undetectable to the naked eye and hardly seen even by those with Pupil Skill. Real Man of Jade Cauldron himself had fed the Dragon Bee with essence blood since its infancy and had even imprinted it with his Divine Sense, or else he would never be conscious of the Dragon Bee’s presence.
But Sun Wukong had detected it immediately, not only detecting it but, judging by his appearance, he was clearly able to see the Dragon Bee!
How incredible were the eyes of this Demon Monkey? The dark gold glow must surely be a formidable Pupil Skill, perhaps some kind of Innate Divine Ability?
Damn it, why does heaven favor this Demon Monkey so much? Why do all the advantages lean towards him?
Real Man of Jade Cauldron felt a burning jealousy in his heart, and his killing intent boiled up even more. He grasped the Sword of Trapping Immortals and intensified his fierce attacks on Sun Wukong, forcing Sun Wukong to abandon his pursuit of the Dragon Bee and wield the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod to block Real Man of Jade Cauldron’s savage attacks.
Once the Dragon Bee escaped Sun Wukong’s pursuit, it started flying around Sun Wukong again. As an exotic beast raised by Real Man of Jade Cauldron, it naturally obeyed his commands. Real Man of Jade Cauldron commanded it to deal with Sun Wukong. As long as it wasn’t in danger, it would try every means to attack Sun Wukong.
With such a lethal creature constantly buzzing around him, Sun Wukong simply couldn’t concentrate all his mind and strength on battling Real Man of Jade Cauldron. He could only barely fend off the attacks, quickly falling into a disadvantage and appearing somewhat perilously unstable.@@novelbin@@
“What’s wrong with Wukong?”
Outside, on the Martial Arts Field, Nezha saw Sun Wukong suddenly become somewhat tentative, completely suppressed by Real Man of Jade Cauldron, and struggling greatly to block the attacks of the Sword of Trapping Immortals. He couldn’t help but feel very anxious and was also greatly puzzled. What was happening to Sun Wukong? Why did it seem like his combat power had drastically reduced all of a sudden, as if he was guarding against something, only able to defend and not daring to attack fully? What on earth was he guarding against?
“It’s the Dragon Bee! That old guy is really shameless, using such a poisonous insect!”
The face of Erlang God Yang Jian darkened, a cold light flashed in his eyes, and he cursed in a low voice. He had personally witnessed Real Man of Jade Cauldron subduing the Dragon Bee, or more precisely, it was entirely thanks to Real Man of Jade Cauldron that the Dragon Bee could be subdued. It was also because of this Dragon Bee that he and his teacher had completely turned against each other.
The Dragon Bee, being an exotic beast from ancient times, was not easy to subdue even as a larva. It required extremely refined essence blood for feeding to awaken from its deep sleep. In Real Man of Jade Cauldron’s view, Erlang God Yang Jian, who practiced the Eight-Nine Profound Skill, had the most suitable essence blood to awaken the Dragon Bee.
Ordinarily, as a disciple, contributing a bit of essence blood for his master was not too much to ask, for essence blood, despite being precious, could recover after some time of resting. However, they hadn’t expected the Dragon Bee to have such a huge appetite, almost enough to drain Erlang God Yang Jian dry!
Erlang God Yang Jian was shocked and wanted to reclaim his essence blood, but Real Man of Jade Cauldron made a move behind him, restraining Erlang God Yang Jian and forcibly continuing to feed his essence blood to the Dragon Bee larva, focusing solely on awakening it, completely disregarding the safety of Erlang God Yang Jian. Had it not been for Erlang God Yang Jian’s mastery of the Way of Transformation and the great resistance provided by the advanced state of his Eight-Nine Profound Skill, and had he not managed to break free and escape at the critical moment, he might have become a sacrificial offering for Real Man of Jade Cauldron’s cultivation of the Dragon Bee!
From that moment on, Erlang God Yang Jian fully realized the true nature of Real Man of Jade Cauldron. He had accepted him as a disciple only because he valued his talent, making him bear the divine calamities for himself, and once the calamities were over, this disciple became disposable. In his heart, his value was far less than that of an ancient exotic poison insect, the Dragon Bee!
Since then, Erlang God Yang Jian had severed all ties with Real Man of Jade Cauldron, having no further dealings with him. Real Man of Jade Cauldron also knew that his actions had completely alienated Erlang God Yang Jian. The bond between master and disciple had ended, and over these years, he had been living reclusively in the Immortal Mountains, never having met Erlang God Yang Jian again.
Now, from the Hao Tian Mirror, seeing what was happening to Sun Wukong in the Investiture of the Gods, Erlang God Yang Jian recognized at once that it was Real Man of Jade Cauldron who had released the Dragon Bee to ambush, which was why Sun Wukong was so restrained in his movements!
This old man, truly shameless to the extreme!
