Chapter 298: Chapter 298 Warning from the Heavenly Secrets Instrument (Four updates today, first update)

Among the Four Swords of Immortal-Slaying, the Immortal-Slaying Sword was the sharpest and most powerful, as well as the most difficult to subdue. Even after thousands of years since the Investiture of the Gods, Guang Chengzi had still not fully refined the Immortal-Slaying Sword. During the war between Immortals and Demons, Guang Chengzi used the not-yet-fully-controlled Immortal-Slaying Sword to help Master Xuan Du seal the Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan. However, he was injured by the sword’s backlash, and had to heal using the Nine-Turn Golden Elixir and Peach of Immortality. He could only accept the Jade Emperor’s decree and become the Celestial Honored One of the Heavenly Court, establishing the Astral Chamber, in exchange for the Nine-Turn Golden Elixir and Peach of Immortality bestowed by the Jade Emperor.

After establishing the Astral Chamber, Guang Chengzi oversaw the construction of the Heavenly Secrets Instrument, during which he obtained many rare heavenly and earthly treasures, including an extremely rare Spirit-Splitting Fairy Jade, which could separate the spiritual nature of a fully formed Magical Treasure.

The Immortal-Slaying Sword, among the Four Swords of Immortal-Slaying, was not only the sharpest but also bore the heaviest malicious aura. However, by splitting it into two, the malicious aura would be significantly reduced, and with Guang Chengzi’s cultivation, he could subdue it.

The Boundary Bridge, as the name implies, is a bridge that spans the boundaries of space. Below the bridge lies a Bottomless Abyss that leads to various worlds within the Three Realms, with paths leading to the Mortal Realm, the Netherworld, the Demonic Realm, and other minor worlds. The entrances to different worlds are intermingled, and it is uncertain which world one might lead to at any given moment. Spatial Thunder roams chaotically within the abyss; even a Daluo Golden Immortal struck by it would lose the three flowers atop their head and the five energies within their chest—rendering their cultivation utterly wasted—and not even a Quasi-Saint could withstand it for long.

The one who released the cold light attack was Zijie Celestial Honored One, the deputy commander of the Astral Chamber and assistant to the Supreme Saintly Heavenly Venerable Guang Chengzi. With cultivation nearing the Quasi-Saint Realm, Zijie typically defended the Heavenly Secrets Instrument. Under him, two officials took turns monitoring the Heavenly Secrets Instrument, and any incidents would be reported immediately to Zijie Celestial Honored One, who would then decide whether to report to the Supreme Saintly Heavenly Venerable Guang Chengzi.

After issuing orders to apprehend Sun Wukong and the other two, the Jade Emperor had returned to the Lingxiao Treasure Hall. Not long after, he received a report from the guards of the Southern Heavenly Gate, stating that the Great Sage division of the Heavenly River Navy had burst through the Southern Heavenly Gate to an unknown destination. Then, Erlang God Yang Jian also left the Heavenly Court through the Southern Heavenly Gate.
