The sound of tearing through the air rose as the six Duotian Divine Demon Banners that had been positioned around the Demonic Light City all took flight, soaring into the vortex where the Duotian Divine Demons Qi converged. Even Sun Wukong’s Void-Breaking Starry Eyes couldn’t penetrate and see what exactly was happening inside.

Outside of Demonic Light City, the aura of Jidu Demon Emperor, having reached its peak, suddenly flashed forward and flew towards the city. He plunged headfirst into the vortex formed by the gathering of the Duotian Divine Demons Qi.

“Boom! Boom!”

The sound of a huge heart beating started to echo. Sun Wukong furrowed his brows tightly and suddenly, his expression darkened. He held the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod horizontally in front of him. At the same moment, the vortex that had been gathering the Duotian Divine Demons Qi suddenly burst apart and the vigor energy dispersed in all directions.

Waves of energy continuously struck the hemispherical protective shield formed by the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod, causing thunderous noises. Sun Wukong’s figure retreated dozens of feet during the incessant battering until the onslaught of energy waves finally ceased. Then, a silhouette emerged within them, it was Jidu Demon Emperor, but his appearance had greatly changed from before.

A single horn had grown on the top of his head, his cheeks were marked with several demonic patterns, giving him an extremely sinister look. Numerous bone spurs extended from his back, and the long saber in his hand had transformed into a flagpole weapon. The whole presence of the man exuded an immense oppressive force.

“How has this guy’s aura become so terrifying?”

A dangerous premonition rose in Wukong’s heart. The Jidu Demon Emperor before him was drastically different from the previous Jidu Demon Emperor as if some formidable transformation had occurred.

An odd aura began to emanate from Jidu Demon Emperor, fluctuating between strong and weak, entirely different from his original aura.

“Brother Mu, what’s going on with this guy?”

With the Duotian Divine Demon Formation already disbanded, the Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan flew into Demonic Light City and arrived beside Sun Wukong. He too looked at Jidu Demon Emperor with a shocked expression. Wukong glanced at Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan and with a grave voice, nudged his mouth towards Jidu Demon Emperor and asked.

“Could this situation be…”

As if recalling something terrifying, Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan’s face drastically changed, and cold sweat even began to seep from his forehead. “It’s Demon Ancestor Luo Hu! This bastard Jidu—he actually dared to absorb Demon Ancestor Luo Hu’s lifebound primordial spirit! Has he lost his mind?”

“Demon Ancestor Lou Hu’s Lifebound Primordial Spirit? Mu Brother, what do you mean by that?”

Sun Wukong raised his eyebrows. The name Demon Ancestor Lou Hu was not to be taken lightly. He had read about this formidable figure in the ancient texts from the Scripture Pavilion of Three-Star Cave Heaven. This Demon Ancestor was a Heavenly Dao Saint of the Demon Race during the Ancient Primeval era and the only Heavenly Dao Saint the Demon Race had ever had from antiquity to the present. Moreover, his strength was formidable, possessing the Cultivation level of a Primordial Taiji Da Luo Gold Immortal, the same as Hong Jun Daoist Ancestor. Both had gone through the process of Slaying Three Corpses to Achieve the Dao and become Saints. Initially, he also contended with Hong Jun Daoist Ancestor for control over the Three Realms but was defeated by Hong Jun Daoist Ancestor, who killed him. Nonetheless, he was still an extremely terrifying individual.

The fact that Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan mentioned Jidu Demon Emperor absorbing something like Demon Ancestor Lou Hu’s Lifebound Primordial Spirit was baffling to Sun Wukong.

Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan paused, then looked at Jidu Demon Emperor with a complex gaze, speaking in a grave tone, “Within the entire Demonic Realm, only the two of us, Jidu and I, knew this secret. I wanted to help Demon Ancestor Lou Hu to resurrect, but Jidu had different intentions. “After I was sealed in the Three Realms, the statue that contained Demon Ancestor Lou Hu’s Primordial Spirit must have fallen into Jidu’s hands. Clearly, over the years, he never gave up on the idea of absorbing Demon Ancestor Lou Hu’s Primordial Spirit. I just guess he didn’t have absolute confidence, so he didn’t act rashly. Until now….”
