Lin Xu didn’t know when she had come over, but she raised the corners of her mouth to Ji Yuqiao and revealed a shallow smile.

That smile was like the warm sun of spring, slowly dispelling the cold within Ji Yuqiao’s body.

“This is all a very normal physiological phenomenon; there’s no need to feel ashamed,” Lin Xu told her.

“But…” Ji Yuqiao glanced at the classmates who were still muttering nearby, quickly averted her eyes, and her head almost drooped to the ground.

The physical education teacher looked over at Ji Yuqiao.

His face was resolute, and his sharp eyes emitted a seriousness and an awe-inspiring presence.

His brows furrowed slightly, making Ji Yuqiao’s heart skip a beat from fear.

Just when she thought the teacher would refuse her request for leave, or even possibly mock her, he actually nodded.

“Okay, go back to the dormitory and rest well. We’ll save your physical test for next week’s PE class.”

Just like that, simple and easy, she was granted leave.

Ji Yuqiao took a deep breath, almost feeling it was unbelievable.

“Thank you, teacher,” After thanking the teacher, Lin Xu led Ji Yuqiao away from the track field.

After leaving the track field, there were more students moving around outside.

Ji Yuqiao touched the jacket around her waist, feeling as if her heart was warmly comforted.

After a while, Lin Xu followed Ji Yuqiao back to her dormitory.

The dormitory environment was quite nice in the school. The four-person rooms with bunk beds over desks were not too cramped and had good lighting.

Lin Xu had been worried her daughter wasn’t living comfortably in the dorm and wanted her to come home, but after seeing the dormitory, she felt somewhat relieved.

Ji Yuqiao took out a new pair of pants from the closet and then ran to the bathroom to change.

Just as she was about to pick up a basin to wash her clothes, Lin Xu pushed her by the shoulders, nudging her aside.

“You should avoid cold water when you have a stomachache. I’ll wash it for you. You just go and sit outside,” Lin Xu said.

Ji Yuqiao looked a bit embarrassed. “I can do it myself.”

She had never had anyone wash her clothes for her.

Lin Xu walked Ji Yuqiao over to the chair to sit down.

She handed Ji Yuqiao a bottle of warm water. “If you’re thirsty, take a sip. If your stomach hurts, use it to warm yourself up.”

She couldn’t find a hot water bottle, so for now she had to make do with this water bottle.

After making sure Ji Yuqiao was settled, Lin Xu went to wash her clothes.

Holding the water bottle, Ji Yuqiao didn’t know if it was too hot or what, but her cheeks also became burning hot.

Watching Lin Xu busy in the bathroom, she suddenly remembered the first time she got her period when she was little. Ji Tingyang and Ji Zeqiu were busy in the bathroom just like this.

“Your pants are dirty, did you get your period?”
