Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!

Chapter 1288 A Girl Too Strong For Cheap Tricks

-----

"Pffff…!"

Seraphin ended spitting his popcorn as he saw Arachne utterly destroy her reflection in a matter of seconds!

He seriously thought it would last more than five minutes and he could get an easy win like this. But ultimately, Arachne was just stronger than her reflection.

But why was that the case?

"Oh my… Did I commit a mistake?" he wondered, covering his mouth in surprise. "S-She killed her reflection so easily…"

There was a reason why this happened, which Seraphin had never imagined possible until now.

Reflections can't copy powers or abilities the mirror hasn't seen.

Therefore, the reflection is as strong as the mirror saw it!

Meaning that if someone saves their strength until later and then release it, it might be possible for them to slay their reflection easily.

"This is the first time this theory has become true…" he said. "Hmm, interesting… You're very interesting, Arachne. But maybe I-"

"Oi!"

Suddenly, Arachne rushed towards Seraphin, appearing above him with her giant spider claws pointing at him.

"Uaagh! W-When did you get there?!"

Seraphin gasped in disbelief, trying to hide inside the mirror and escape!

However, Arachne grabbed his head and didn't let him escape.

"Uuggh! Wait, wait, let me go!"

He began to panic; things weren't going at all as he had calculated!

Or imagined!

And based on her ridiculous strength, if she wanted…

Arachne could easily tear his head off.

Yet…

"Bring more of those," she said. "I haven't even warmed up yet. Can you send more of my reflections? They're the perfect dummies to train."

"W-What…?!" Seraphin gasped.

Then, he realized that little Arachne might be even more clueless and also a battle junkie than he imagined.

Despite the desperate situation, he quickly created a plan.

"Sure, I can! Just stand there! And let me go!"

"Hmph, ok!"

Arachne let go of Seraphin, as he laughed.

He merged back inside his Mirror and then, the mirror appeared above Arachne.

"{Mirror Dimension Domain}!"

TRUUUM!

Within a second, Arachne was trapped inside the Mirror, as Seraphin appeared down below over the arena, laughing.

"Hahaha! I won! I pretty much won now, didn't I? She willingly let herself get trapped inside my mirror! If four more minutes pass, I win, right?"

The people around the arena were shocked that this had happened…

"To think the battle ended already…"

"Was that his trump card?"

"I've heard Seraphin has never lost a battle! Is this his secret?"

"Arachne's gone?!" Maria screamed angrily amidst the other students. "Hey! Where is she?! You fuck! …No, wait, I can sense her, faintly. She's… in another dimension?!"

"Is that bad?" asked Sofia.

"Yeah…" Maria nodded. "But maybe… I think she's strong enough to handle even that."

Arachne's eyes opened, finding herself within a labyrinth made of mirrors.

Everywhere she looked, there were mirrors reflecting her.

"Oh wow! Is this the place where I can face countless reflections?"

"That's right, foolish girl. And it'll be your prison until the time runs out and you lose."

A voice echoed amidst the entire labyrinth of mirrors.

It was the voice of Seraphin, who seemed to be almost like a god within this pocket dimension of mirrors.

"No way that's happening, I'm going to win," Arachne nodded, crossing her arms. "Now throw me your best ones!"

"Hahaha, you're so adorably dumb, fine," Seraphin laughed. "Here, have it your way! Have fun and I hope you don't die!"

Suddenly, the mirrors around Arachne began to transform, showing dozens of her reflections one after another, rushing towards her from every angle to attack her!

"Nice! This is what I wanted!"

She smiled defiantly, her Spider Armor manifested once more, covering her little body entirely and then helping her battle these reflections.

Powerful blows using her own spider legs hit her from every angle, yet she resisted using her armor, rapidly intercepting the blows and then splitting or tearing apart her foes.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

Her reflections were still too weak! But they progressively became stronger and more cunning, copying more of her armor abilities, and even some of her aura.

More and more kept coming, yet Arachne punched them, kicked them, and slashed their bodies with her long, sharp claws.

While this happened, she leaped around the walls and ceiling, constantly moving around like spiders do.

As she did so, she also conjured and unleashed magic, destructive Nightmare Magic that consumed her foes minds and souls, chaotic thunder to burn them, and more.

The reflections, upon death, exploded into particles of light and disappeared, but more kept replacing them.

Arachne punched, kicked, slashed, blasted, poisoned, destroyed, and constantly broke through constant walls within her progression.

Each battle against dozens of her own selves gave her insights necessary to better use her abilities. Her poison magic became better too, helping her create domains of poison to consume foes.

Her chaos magic improved, helping her control its powers much better than before, and even her other skills were reinforced.

It seemed she was leveling her skills rapidly; it was a complete frenzy of growth!

"S-She's insane…"

Seraphin, who was glancing the scene this entire time, couldn't help but find little Arachne a tad bit insane, if not scary!

She was fighting this much, doing this much, all because she simply… she simply wanted to train?

"She's using me as her training gym, haha…" Seraphin laughed a bit. "I never considered using my Mirror for that… Seems like a profitable business. Hm, well, she can take the first free trial in exchange for my victory."

As he smiled, pleased to know little time remained, suddenly…

"I'm bored! I'm getting out!"

Arachne grew bored, and with a single punch, she shattered the pocket dimension's barriers, breaking it apart.

CRAAASH!

"E-Eh?!"

Then, she emerged from the mirror's broken glass, walking towards Seraphin while looking at the mirror's pitiful state.

"Hmph, it was fun, but it got boring fast… Well, now that I'm done, I'll win."

"Wait a second, my mirror has- AACKK!"

BAAAM!

Before Seraphin could do anything else, his face was punched away, and he fell unconscious instantly.

Without his Mirror, he was nothing much!
