Maria glanced at the Nightmare Detector while running away from the sudden surprise Nightmare Beast monster creature thing.

The head of a book and the body of thorny vines… This thing was without a doubt strange! If not completely bizarre compared to everything else.

"W-What the hell?!" Maria was shocked, looking at the thing. "Why is it a giant monster? I am fairly sure I saw multiple points of Nightmare Energy separately… Does this mean it is composed of many monsters fused together? Dammit!"

"I don't know but that thing's dangerous!" said Emily. "Everyone, run! RUN!" She didn't hesitate to tell everyone to escape after noticing it had barely taken damage from their bombardment of attacks.

The entire party quickly began running away, the massive ten-meter-tall book-headed snake rushed towards them, opening its jaws furiously while hissing at them. It seemed utterly furious after being attacked this much and being woken up from its slumber.

"SHYAAAAH!"

As it opened its jaws and revealed the book's interior, Maria noticed something even more shocking. From it, dozens of scribble-like Nightmares started pouring out, resembling drawings from children fairy tale books. It seemed to be a much stronger Nightmare Beast than the rest.

"Hah, this world's monsters are fucking crazy."

Maria couldn't help but recognize this as a fact. She stopped running, confronting the incoming army of scribbles and the snake. In that moment she also realized that the book was wide open in the middle of an open field to lure people to check it or read what it said, it probably also had pretty drawings.

A weird, bizarre way to lure victims and prey, as the moment they touched the paper, they would get instantly snapped and eaten, terrifying!

"Maria! Wait! You'll die!" Sofia cried, noticing Maria recklessly facing the monster. "It's a powerful Nightmare Beast! It's probably of the highest rank!"

"Nah, I'd win." Maria smiled. "Yeah it's super strong, it's probably an SSS Rank Monster."

SSS Rank Monsters didn't die instantly from some projectiles Maria created half-assedly anyways.

So it was obvious it would tank that easily!

However… she had more abilities packed within her.

"{Umbral Death Blight}"

FLAAASH!

She channeled the power of her Divine Throne within the world of Yggdrasil.

Because she had left an Ego Divine Soul Body there, she could even use that divinity to an extent even in another world, as she was still within the possession of it between all her bodies at once.

The golden, gray, and black light stopped the snake on its tracks instantly, the little scribble nightmares exploded into ashes, leaving behind Nightmare Cores.

"GRYYSSHAAAA!"

The snake, however, remained alive, quickly swinging its massive tail against Maria, aiming to crush her with tremendous force!

"Maria!"

Sofia panicked, rushing towards her help.

However, Maria didn't need help!

"I got this."

She smiled, rushing forward, summoning her axe and her sword.

"{Heavenly Nightmare Demon Venerable Abyssal Ghost Asura Battle Arts}: [Nightmarish Axe Of Hellish Phantom Blaze]! [Void-Devouring Yang Dragon Fang Sword]!"

She unleashed tow techniques with ridiculously long and over the top names, as a hellish inferno of nightmarish death flames engulfed half of the snake, while a massive draconic fang made of void pierced through the other one!

BOOOM! CRAAASH!

"GRYYYAAAERRGH!"

The snake struggled even as it took massive damage, summoning dozens of little scribble monsters to attack Maria, firing Nightmare Ink at her.

She simply defended against it using her aura, but noticed that the Ink, whatever it touched, turned it into strange 2D things.

The nearby grass that was touched by it turned into 3D grass resembling a drawing from a child on white paper using crayons to color it!

"What sort of power is that?!" Maria was shocked. "It can just turn things it touches into drawings? That's dangerous! Stand back!"

She ordered Sofia to stay back as the snake began charging forward, constantly producing more and more of these nightmarish monsters that fired Ink everywhere.

"Don't let the ink touch you! I'll handle this!" Maria roared.

And then…

"{Enlightened Stance: Brilliance of Yang}!"

FLAAASH!

Pure white and golden light surged from within her entire being, as an explosion of Yang Essence emerged, making her resemble a being made of pure light.

With this power, she unleashed a mighty slashing wave with both of her Dream Weapons, slashing through all the scribble nightmares at once!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

And they all exploded into ashes, one after another, dozens after dozens of times!

The snake roared, as it was hit by the explosions, pushed back.

"SHYAAAARRGGH!"

With fury, it began to change its form out of nowhere.

The serpentine body made of thorny vines entangled together changed out of the blue.

It began to spread like the tentacles of an octopus, dozens of thorny vine tentacles becoming thicker, as they gained snake heads of their own.

It's book-like head changed as well, transforming from a book resembling the head of a snake into spreading wide open and gaining six eyes within the interior of its pages.

"GRUOOOHHH!"

Ding!

"I see, so you've gone all out, you fucker."

Maria smiled fascinated by what these monsters could offer someone like her, as she rushed forward, summoning the power of the Stance of Yang at full.

"Show me how far you can take this now!"

Maria swung her weapons as she unleashed a storm of slicing blows imbued with the golden light of Yang, generating constant explosions over the monster.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

At the same time, the monstrosity's countless jaws opened, firing breath attacks made of pure Nightmare Ink.

It was obviously aiming to turn Maria into a hopeless scribble!

"Mama!"

Nyx roared, suddenly transforming into a giant dragon and roaring ferociously, attacking the monster from the side and pushing it away.
