Reborn as a Succubus: Time To Live My Best Life!

Chapter 136 Junior Sorceress Melisa Blackflame, Part Twenty-Two*

Melisa's tail swished nervously as she and Raven made their way down the busy street. Eyes followed her, some curious, others hostile.

One man walked up, dressed in a collared shirt like he was on his way to an office on Earth. He wasn't even a guard or anything, just a regular guy.

"Uh, ma'am, I'm not sure you're allowed to-"

Raven pulled out a scrap of paper.

"Melisa Blackflame is exempt from the quarantine rules," Raven said, interrupting the man who was so helpfully trying to let Melisa know she'd accidentally walked out of her house. "Take it up with the king."

"I..."

They kept going.

Melisa sighed, annoyed.

[Focus, Mel,] she thought, squaring her shoulders. [You're here to save lives, not win a popularity contest. Fuck 'em!]

"The house should be nearby," Melisa murmured, leaning close to Raven. "On... Thornberry Lane."

Raven nodded, her grey eyes scanning their surroundings.

"Good. The sooner we're off the streets, the better. I don't like how exposed we are."

Melisa couldn't help but shiver at Raven's proximity. Her body heat, her subtle scent – it was intoxicating.

[Get it together, you horny disaster! People are dying. Your people.]

"You okay?" Raven asked, her voice low. "You seem... tense."

Melisa swallowed hard.

"Yeah, hehe, just... uh... nervous, I guess. A lot riding on this."

Mainly, she was just trying to stay focused.

Raven's hand brushed against hers, a fleeting touch that sent sparks dancing across Melisa's skin.

"We've got this. Together."

[Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck,] Melisa's mind raced. [No, focus! Healing. Shadow Mages. Murder plot. Focus!

You can go down on her later!]

They turned onto Thornberry Lane, a narrow street lined with modest houses. Melisa's ears perked up at the sound of coughing coming from one of them.

"There," she said, pointing to a small, two-story home with peeling paint. "That's the one."

As they approached, Raven suddenly stiffened.

"We're being watched," she whispered, her hand drifting to the dagger at her hip.

Melisa's heart raced.

"Shadow Mages?"

"Not sure. But someone's definitely got eyes on us."

Great. Because this wasn't stressful enough already.

Melisa took a deep breath, steeling herself as they reached the front door. She knocked, the sound echoing ominously in the quiet street.

For a moment, nothing. Then, shuffling footsteps. The door creaked open, revealing a weary-looking nim woman.

Her eyes widened as she took in Melisa.

"You... you're her. The t-the healer! From the papers."

Melisa smiled, hoping it looked more confident than she felt.

"That's right. I'm here to help. May we come in?"

The woman hesitated for a heartbeat, then stepped aside.

"Please. My husband... he's not well."

The interior of the house was dim, the air thick with the scent of decay. Melisa's nose wrinkled, but she pressed on, following the sound of labored breathing to a small bedroom.

A nim man lay on the bed, his purple skin ashen and slick with sweat. His chest rose and fell in shallow, ragged gasps.

[Fuck,] Melisa thought. [He's worse off than I expected. At least the Curse isn't acting that quickly.]

She turned to the wife, who hovered anxiously in the doorway.

"How long has he been like this?"

"Two days," she whispered. "It came on so suddenly. One moment he was fine, the next..."

Melisa nodded, her mind racing. She knew what she had to do. The Blood Magic spell she'd created – it was their best shot.

[Here goes nothing,] she thought, rolling up her sleeves.

"Raven," she said quietly. "Watch the door. If anyone tries to come in..."

Raven nodded, her expression grim.

"They won't get past me."

Melisa took a deep breath, centering herself. She could feel the magic thrumming beneath her skin, begging to be released.

"Lumi sanguine, vita crescere," she whispered, tracing the complex spellsign in the air.

The room seemed to darken, the shadows deepening as Melisa's power flowed outward. She gasped as she felt it latch onto the sick man, probing, seeking out the curse that ravaged his body.

There. A twisted knot of malevolent energy, coiled around his heart like a venomous serpent.

Melisa gritted her teeth, pouring more of herself into the spell. Sweat beaded on her brow as she grappled with the curse, slowly but surely unraveling its hold.

The man on the bed thrashed, a hoarse cry escaping his lips. His wife made to rush forward, but Raven held her back.

"Wait," the former assassin said. "Let her work."

Melisa barely heard them. Her world had narrowed to this singular task – heal, purge, restore. She could feel her own life force mingling with the spell, bolstering its power.

With a final, wrenching effort, Melisa tore the last tendrils of the curse free. It dissipated like smoke, leaving behind only the faintest whisper of its presence.

The man's eyes flew open. He drew in a deep, shuddering breath – clear and strong.

Melisa swayed on her feet, darkness creeping at the edges of her vision. Strong arms caught her before she could fall.

"I've got you," Raven murmured, her breath warm against Melisa's ear.

The wife rushed to her husband's side, tears streaming down her face as she embraced him.

"Thank you," she sobbed, looking at Melisa with awe and gratitude. "Thank you so much."

Melisa managed a weak smile.

"You're welcome. Just... rest now. Both of you."

As Raven helped her out of the house, Melisa's mind whirled. She'd done it. She'd healed him. But at what cost?

Her body felt drained, her magical reserves dangerously low. And there were so many more nim who needed her help.

[I can't keep this up,] she realized. [Not without...]

An idea formed. Wild and reckless, but, well, an idea nonetheless. She turned to Raven as they stepped into a narrow alley between houses.

"I need your help," Melisa said, her voice husky with exhaustion and sudden desire.

Raven's brow furrowed.

"Of course. What do you need?"

Melisa swallowed hard, gathering her courage.

"Essence. To keep healing. I need... Essence."

Understanding dawned in Raven's eyes, followed swiftly by a heat that made Melisa's knees weak.

"Here?" Raven asked, glancing around the deserted alley. "Now?"

Melisa nodded, her tail curling around Raven's leg of its own accord.

"Please."

That was all it took. Raven surged forward, pressing Melisa against the rough brick wall. Their lips met in a searing kiss, hungry and desperate.

Melisa moaned into Raven's mouth, her hands fisting in her roommate's dark hair. She felt Raven's tongue sweep across her lower lip, demanding entrance.

She granted it eagerly, shivering as Raven deepened the kiss. Their tongues danced, tasting, exploring. Melisa could feel the Essence flowing between them, replenishing her depleted reserves.

[Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck,] Melisa thought, her mind hazy with pleasure. [Yes, yes!]

Raven's hands roamed Melisa's body, leaving trails of fire in their wake. She cupped Melisa's ass, squeezing roughly as she ground their hips together.

Melisa broke the kiss with a gasp, her head falling back against the wall.

"Raven," she whimpered. "Please."

Raven's lips trailed along Melisa's jaw, nipping and sucking at the sensitive skin of her neck.

"What do you need?" Raven murmured, her voice low and husky.

"More," Melisa panted. "Everything."

Raven chuckled - a rare sound for her - the sound sending shivers down Melisa's spine.

"As you wish."

Her hand slipped beneath Melisa's skirt, fingers dancing along the inside of her thigh. Melisa spread her legs wider, silently begging for more.

When Raven's fingers finally brushed against her soaked panties, Melisa had to bite her lip to stifle a moan.

"Shh," Raven whispered, her breath hot against Melisa's ear. "We don't want to attract attention, do we?"@@novelbin@@

Melisa shook her head, not trusting herself to speak. She rocked her hips, desperate for more friction.

Raven obliged, pushing Melisa's panties aside and sliding two fingers into her dripping cunt. Melisa's eyes rolled back, pleasure coursing through her body.

"Fuck," she hissed. "Raven, please. Don't stop."

Raven went at a relentless pace, her thumb circling Melisa's clit as she pumped her fingers in and out. Melisa clung to her, nails digging into Raven's shoulders as she chased her release.

It built quickly, a tidal wave of sensation threatening to overwhelm her. Melisa could feel her magic surging, intertwining with the pleasure until she couldn't tell where one ended and the other began.

"Cum for me," Raven growled, curling her fingers just right. "Let go, Mel. I've got you."

That was all it took. Melisa came with a muffled cry, her body shuddering as waves of ecstasy crashed over her. She felt her magic flare, drinking in the Essence that flowed between them.

As she came down from her high, Melisa sagged against Raven, her legs trembling. The former assassin held her close, pressing soft kisses to her temple.

"Better?" Raven asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.

Melisa nodded, still catching her breath.

"Much. Thank you."

She could feel her magical reserves replenishing, the fatigue from earlier fading away. But more than that, she felt... connected. To Raven, to the magic that flowed through her veins.

As they straightened their clothes and prepared to continue their mission, Melisa couldn't help but wonder.

How many times was Raven going to have to fingerfuck her in the alleys before the day was over?

Probably (hopefully) a lot. Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire
