“Rose…” Seeing his wife remain silent, Lincoln Green couldn’t help but softly call out.

It took Rose Taylor a while to look up. “Honey, what should we do?”

Lincoln Green was both angry and ashamed. “I’ll first check where exactly he transferred the money before making any decisions.”

“Hmm.” Rose Taylor responded coolly, her voice laced with icy detachment, completely lacking her usual tenderness.

As soon as he hung up, the head of the pharmaceutical factory called, thanking Lincoln Green for the timely funds that had alleviated their urgent needs. They mentioned that compensation had been paid to those affected by the trial incident and additional research funds had already been allocated.

Lincoln Green breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. Initially, he planned to use part of the money to offset the company’s debts and save the rest for unforeseen needs.

Although Brandon Piers didn’t directly transfer the money into his hands, he did resolve the company’s debt crisis. Lincoln had planned to abandon the pharmaceutical factory and let Abigail, who had gained shares, take over.

But now all the remaining funds had been sent to the pharmaceutical factory. Although he miscalculated, he didn’t lose everything. However, it was a different story for the Taylor mother and daughter.

Watching the expressions on the mother and daughter’s faces, Lincoln Green awkwardly hung up the phone. “Well… although the Piers family didn’t directly deposit the cash into the company’s account, they used it for the company’s debts and development. It’s just that…”

“No more buts. I’m tired today. Let’s rest.” Rose Taylor wanted to use her usual tactic to soften Lincoln Green’s heart, but the panicked Lincoln had already stood up and went to the bedroom after leaving these words.

Rose Taylor stared blankly at Lincoln Green’s departing figure. Even though she didn’t have deep feelings for this man, she had spent considerable effort and years on him. She understood him better than anyone else and believed she could control his every move. But now, this man, who had always been obedient to her, not only hid a big secret but also turned his back on her.

And she didn’t miss the momentary hesitation in his denial about having Piers family shares. Rose Taylor knew Lincoln Green had lied to her!

“Mom, does he really not have Piers family shares?” Ruby Green hesitantly approached, unable to let go of her unfulfilled dream.

Rose Taylor shook her head. “He’s lying.”

Ruby Green’s face showed a spark of hope. “Mom, you mean… he really has shares in the Piers family?”

“Hmm. We just don’t know where the shares are, but…” Rose Taylor’s voice suddenly turned cold. “If he remains stubborn, we might as well consider it as an inheritance for us.”

“Mom, you mean…” Ruby Green’s eyes lit up with a mixture of fear and excitement.

If Lincoln Green died, she could rightfully inherit all his assets, including the five percent of the Piers family shares.

“This matter needs careful planning.” Rose Taylor said softly.

Since Lincoln Green was so heartless, they couldn’t be blamed for being ruthless. Not only did he deceive them out of thirty percent of the shares, but he also gave them to that whore Abigail!

She had spent half her life being nice to him. Should she end up with nothing?

Did they really think Rose Taylor was easy to bully?

“I understand. I know we can’t leave any traces.” Ruby Green nodded.

After mumbling for a while, Rose Taylor got up and went to the kitchen.

Half an hour later, Rose Taylor, dressed in a thin silk nightgown, carried a bowl of freshly reheated silver ear lotus seed soup into the bedroom.

Lincoln Green was still lost in thought. Rose Taylor’s words made him recall some vague past events. He vaguely remembered Minnie mentioning using Piers family shares to purchase one of her formulas. But then Minnie suddenly got pregnant, and in his joy, he forgot all about it. After that, Minnie didn’t bring it up again. Could something have happened without his knowledge?

“Honey, what are you thinking about?” Rose Taylor saw Lincoln Green in a daze as she entered.

“Ah? Oh, nothing.” Lincoln Green snapped out of it and smiled awkwardly. “Rose, did you make this?”

“Yes, try it.” Rose Taylor softly said, handing him the soup, and gently apologized. “I’m sorry, honey. I was wrong today.”

“How can I blame you? If anyone’s to blame, it’s me!” Lincoln Green, sipping the soup and hearing his wife’s apology, felt even guiltier.

“How can it be your fault? Honey, you’ve been so good to Ruby and me. We shouldn’t be so greedy.” Saying this, Rose Taylor lightly massaged Lincoln Green’s shoulders.

Lincoln Green felt extremely comfortable, his voice became slightly dazed. “Rose, don’t worry. You’re so good; I won’t let you and Ruby suffer. I’ll find a way for her dowry.”

“Hmm, thank you, honey.”

As soon as Rose Taylor finished speaking, Lincoln Green collapsed with a thud.

Ruby Green slipped in from outside the door. “Mom, you gave such a heavy dose today. Won’t it be discovered?”
