Chapter 375: Chapter 375: The Revengeful Demon Resurrects to Claim Lives
Rose Taylor, hearing Lincoln Green’s words, snapped back to reality, her face growing even paler.
And with this outburst, the court’s impression of Rose Taylor became extremely negative.
Rose Taylor still tried to salvage something, but unfortunately, no one cared about her performance anymore, and the court session officially began shortly after.
Although Lincoln Green and Rose Taylor’s case was a divorce case, it involved economic disputes and criminal matters, so an observation gallery was set up.
Rose Taylor used the remaining one million in her account to hire a well-known lawyer in Gills City to defend her.
But when facing Brandon Piers’ legal team, she still ended up being defeated.
In the end, the court supported Lincoln Green’s request, granting the divorce and invalidated all the property gift and transfer agreements signed during Lincoln Green’s severe illness that Rose Taylor forced upon him.
Standing in the defendant’s box, Rose Taylor trembled with rage, but was powerless.
But this was not over. The divorce ruling was just one part. It also involved criminal matters. She had no idea that everything she did in the hospital room was recorded.
Every single move of hers, including forcing Lincoln Green to sign and injecting medication into his IV drip, was all clearly captured.
She was too careless!
She never expected that bitch Abigail would install surveillance cameras in Lincoln Green’s hospital room. Didn’t they already break off their relationship?
Rose Taylor couldn’t understand.
Last time, Lincoln Green was driven out of the hospital by them. The relationship had long been strained, but this fatso actually helped Lincoln Green!
Ever since Lincoln Green was hospitalized, Rose Taylor thought that with him critically ill and without backing, he was no threat. She never anticipated that the person she least took seriously would bite her the hardest.
The plaintiff’s lawyer provided the court with lab results, showing that the sample taken from Lincoln Green’s blood matched the substance Rose Taylor injected last time.
At the same time, the hospital provided evidence that Lincoln Green’s coronary disease was caused by a chemical agent.
In the face of overwhelming evidence, Rose Taylor didn’t even have a chance to defend herself.
Her lawyer was also caught off guard.
Finally, the court announced that Rose Taylor was guilty of attempted murder but not resulting in death. However, because of the severity of the circumstances, she was sentenced to twelve years in prison and deprived of her political rights for life.
Upon hearing the verdict, Rose Taylor collapsed into the chair. If the divorce was already a huge blow, then the twelve-year sentence completely drove her to madness.
She knew she would lose, so she had Johnson silence the witness. But she never thought it would end this disastrously!
“I am not convinced. I didn’t… Husband, I didn’t mean to hurt you. Please forgive me, husband, please forgive me…” Slumped in the chair, Rose Taylor suddenly shouted crazily when she saw Lincoln Green get up to leave, struggling to rush to his side. “Husband, you can’t do this to me. You can’t do this to me!”
Lincoln Green looked at the woman clutching his pant leg, but the heartache from before the trial had vanished completely because this woman sent Johnson to harm him. He harshly kicked Rose Taylor away, “You vicious woman, you deserve to be punished!”
“Lincoln, listen to me…”
“Mom, Mom!” Ruby Green hobbled to Rose Taylor’s side. Seeing Lincoln Green about to leave, she cursed, “Lincoln Green, you bastard! You can’t do this to my mom!”
“I can’t do this to her. Then how do you justify what you have done to Abigail and me?” Lincoln Green asked, word by word, looking at Ruby Green.
“Abigail, Abigail. Now you know Abigail. Why didn’t you mention her before? You’re only doing this for your damn shares, and you’re talking so high and mighty. Lincoln Green, you are a selfish bastard!” Ruby Green shouted at Lincoln Green, kneeling on the ground and holding Rose Taylor.
Lincoln Green was struck to his core, froze rigidly.
He wanted to say he wasn’t, but feeling a gaze upon him, Lincoln Green was taken aback, staring blankly at Abigail. “Abigail, I…”
But his words were too pale!
What he did over the years couldn’t be washed clean just by suing Rose Taylor and her daughter.
Abigail, as if not seeing Lincoln Green’s emotions, walked up to Rose Taylor and her daughter, squatted down slowly, and looked at their faces filled with hatred, resentment, and unwillingness, “What’s the use of begging him?”
“What do you want?” Rose Taylor shielded Ruby Green, asking vigilantly.
Abigail was stunned for a moment, suddenly realizing that Rose Taylor, although indeed bad, genuinely spoiled Ruby Green. But this spoil had no limits, ultimately harming Ruby Green as well.
Looking at the mother and daughter, Abigail poked Ruby Green’s cheek with her finger, “Do you hate me very much? Are you unwilling? Don’t worry. Lincoln Green is only settling scores with you now. Abigail’s account is still unsettled. Be prepared.”
“You…” Ruby Green shivered at Abigail’s words!
“What about me? Don’t forget that I crawled out of hell, a demon. Naturally, a demon resurfaces to claim lives. So, don’t worry about your mom. You will soon join her.” Abigail’s voice was soft but carried a chilling coldness, as if it came from a far-off place.
Ruby Green trembled all over, glaring at Abigail, murmuring, “You demon. You are a demon!”
After hearing this, Abigail coldly chuckled, pulled out a wet tissue to wipe her fingers which had touched Ruby Green, and mockingly asked, “If I am a demon, then what are you?”
“You…”
“Treasure your freedom while it lasts.” Saying this, Abigail stood up, ignoring the mother and daughter.
Unexpectedly, Ruby Green turned her wrath towards Lincoln Green, “Lincoln Green, did you hear? Did you hear? She admitted she’s back from hell to claim lives. Do you think she would treat you well and forgive you? Lincoln Green, don’t dream. The situation now is not only due to me and mom, but also you, yes, you…”
Ruby Green’s last sentence was almost a screech. If she hadn’t said that Abigail was a demon returning for revenge, Lincoln Green might have hesitated. But that sentence seemed to hit Lincoln Green’s sore spot, reminding him of what Abigail told him the other day. His whole body turned cold, and he almost stumbled out of the courtroom.
“Bastard!” Enraged, Ruby Green cursed, seeing the judicial officers approaching them, and they helped Rose Taylor up and handcuffed her.
A month ago, Rose Taylor had seen her brother handcuffed. She didn’t expect to be shackled herself just one month later. Her face turned pale, her body trembled. Seeing Lincoln Green avoiding her like the plague, she felt dazed. Was this the man she thought deeply loved her?
Ha ha ha. How ridiculous!
Ruby was right. They are all bastards, all bastards…
In her despair, Rose Taylor instinctively searched for that pair of lifeless eyes, only to recall that Johnson had been taken away earlier. He was gone!
She had no support left. None at all.
It was the first time Ruby Green saw her mother in such despair. She held Rose Taylor’s hand, “Mom, we will appeal. We will appeal again!”
What do you think?
