Chapter 848 - 842: Rescue_1

Chapter 848: Chapter 842: Rescue_1

Chu Molin was at an accident scene today along with others. They’d gotten word earlier that a bus had crashed, injuring over twenty people on board, and they were here to assist.

Upon arriving at the scene, Chu Molin’s face darkened. The bus’s front was completely deformed, the driver was trapped inside the cab and couldn’t get out, and someone had been flung aside. Many people, some seriously injured, some less so, were all clustered together wailing in pain. The scene was utter chaos.

At first, Chu Molin thought they had been alerted because the scene was close to their school. Now it seemed that wasn’t the only reason. It was likely a directive from the leaders to get him acclimatized to this environment as quickly as possible. He couldn’t quite articulate his thoughts on this, but decided to just get involved in the rescue for now. Other thoughts could wait.

The most critically injured seemed to be the person who had been flung aside and the bus driver. Molin tried to drag the driver out, but the entrapment was too severe to do anything. He scanned around for anything that might help, then quickly lowered his head to speak.

“Gong Wuyou, give me that over there.” Molin pointed to a pipe not too far away.

“Hold on, sir, you must stay awake, okay?” Molin, seeing the driver’s state nearing unconsciousness, yelled at him while speaking to him. He couldn’t allow the driver to fall asleep — there was a real risk he might not wake up.

“Okay, Molin, what’s the situation?” Gong Wuyou came over carrying a pipe after hearing Molin, looking as skeptical as Molin at the scene. How were they supposed to extract this person? Could this pipe really be enough? Gong Wuyou asked himself. But now was not the time for speculation. He crouched down to help Molin extract the injured man. @@novelbin@@

“Be careful with his left leg.” Molin took the pipe and started using it as a lever.

“Okay.” Gong Wuyou didn’t ask any further. He was entirely focused on the rescue effort.

“Phew, finally got him out. Normally this requires fire department equipment. How did you manage it with just this pipe?” Gong was ready to wait for the firefighters arrival if things didn’t work out, but he didn’t expect Molin to succeed.

“We come up with these methods ourselves, no time for pointless talk. Let’s quickly get him out of here and send him to the hospital for treatment. We still have many people waiting, don’t we?” Molin couldn’t afford to answer the question right now. Any answers would have to wait until later and there was a crowd waiting for help.

“Yes, boss.” Gong Wuyou was playful in his response, but he quickly helped to move the injured man.

The medical staff arrived quickly. The closest hospital was the People’s Hospital. He didn’t know if Xue’er had gone to take her exam that day. If she had, she would’ve stumbled upon this incident. Talk about timing. But with Xue’er’s help, he would feel better about these critical patients. He just hoped Xue’er was at the hospital. It happened that today one of the people Qin Xue was operating on was someone they had rescued and sent over.

Chu Molin and Gong Wuyou continually helped with the treatment of injured patients without pausing even for a moment. They only turned to catch their breath after they got the last injured person onto the ambulance. Finally, they were done.

Looking at the aftermath, that was no longer their responsibility. They were there to help the wounded, and now that everyone had been taken care of, they had to return to school. The rest was up to others.

“What are you looking at? Didn’t you hear the whistle?” Gong Wuyou nudged Chu Molin with his arm and followed his gaze, but couldn’t see anything other than the wreckage everywhere.

“Alright, let’s go.” Chu Molin glanced at him and led the way.
