"Please wait, senior!" the Tiger Devil boldly called out.

"Hmm? What do you want?" Li Zhirui stopped in his tracks, tilting his head slightly.

"This humble Tiger Devil Hugan pays respects to senior! May I dare ask if senior lacks a mount."

The two Fox Devils beside him were full of shock, hardly able to believe what they were seeing from the Tiger Devil. Had it not been for Li Zhirui's presence, they would have questioned him by now.

A flash of surprise crossed Li Zhirui's eyes. He turned around to stare at him, curiously asking, "Why do you wish to become my mount?"

"Because I want to break through to the fourth rank! I refuse to be trapped at the third rank." Hugan said with determination.

He was just an ordinary third-grade Tiger Devil with an average bloodline. Breaking through to the fourth rank was a very difficult task for him, especially since he had planned everything out only for the Millennium Lifespan Grass he had just gotten his hands on to be snatched away by Li Zhirui, making the possibility of a breakthrough even slimmer!

After all, treasures like the Millennium Lifespan Grass didn't appear by mere chance, nor could one always be so lucky that no Nascent Souls would intervene and clear the field, allowing them to succeed through careful planning.

More importantly, the news of their obtaining the Millennium Lifespan Grass had probably already spread throughout the entire Devil Race of the Great Snow Mountain, and by then, no matter how they explained it, no Devil Beast would believe them. Consequently, they would become the target of public criticism, and their fate could be easily imagined.

Though being a mount was humiliating, to be able to break through to a higher realm and even catch a glimpse of the ultimate peak of this world, bowing and submitting was nothing more than a trifling matter for Hugan.

Li Zhirui gazed at the ambitious Tiger Devil, his face suddenly revealing a hint of a smile. He said, "Since that's the case, then follow me home."

"Senior, about these two brothers of mine..."

"Are you willing to submit to me and recognize me as your master?"

The two Fox Devils hesitated for a moment. Hugan quickly sent a telepathic message urging them, "What are you waiting for? Quickly bow and pay respects!"

His two minions usually seemed quite clever. Why were they acting so dull now? He had just laid out all the pros and cons for them.

It wasn't just to improve his own standing in Li Zhirui's eyes and to avoid some menial tasks later on,

"Hu Xuan, Hu Mu, we greet our master!" Both Fox Devils hurriedly kowtowed.

Li Zhirui didn't pay much mind to their minor actions, merely giving them a cursory glance and saying, "Since you wish to recognize me as master, hand over a strand of your Spiritual Soul."

With their Spiritual Souls in his hands, as well as his own power to suppress them, the thought of Hugan and his group betraying him and his family was no different from seeking death.

"Yes!" Having already made up his mind, Hugan didn't hesitate in the slightest and firmly tore out a strand of his Spiritual Soul, handing it over to Li Zhirui despite the intense pain.

The two Fox Devils were somewhat reluctant, but seeing Hugan take the lead, they had no choice but to follow suit.

This made Li Zhirui quite curious about the relationship between the three, as even though Hugan was the strongest among them, they didn't normally seem so obedient.

After collecting the souls of the three Devils, Li Zhirui had Hu Xuan and Hu Mu pilot the Spirit Boat, directing, "First head south, then turn east to enter the sea, and finally continue southward."

"Yes!"

"Tell me about the past between you three; I'm quite curious about that."

A trace of reminiscence flickered in Hugan's eyes as he respectfully said, "Ah Xuan, Ah Mu, and I have known each other for a long time. We had just broken through to the Golden Core when we met over fighting for a piece of Spiritual Medicine..."

This was actually a very typical story. The three initially became acquainted due to conflicts, then slowly became friends and experienced several life-and-death situations together before they truly began to trust each other.

As for why the two Fox Devils obeyed Hugan, first, it was because he was the strongest, and second, because he had saved their lives before.

After listening, Li Zhirui didn't say anything. He just pulled several Spirit Pills for healing the Spiritual Soul from the space and said, "You divide these among yourselves and eat."

"Thank you, master!"

Li Zhirui waved his hand. He felt that the title 'master' was a bit awkward, but he couldn't think of a better one, so he would just have to stick with it for now. Perhaps he would get used to it later.

"Right! How did you manage to hide the Longevity Grass underground without anyone noticing?" Even he hadn't noticed something was amiss at first.

"Hu Xuan and Hu Mu's Divine Powers are Heaven-Deceiving and Stealing the Heaven and Swapping the Day, respectively. The former can make people overlook certain things, while the latter can switch objects with others nearby."

Of course, names are just names and the actual power was another matter. After all, they were only third-order and their Divine Powers weren't that formidable.

"I see." Li Zhirui understood immediately and then asked curiously, "What about your Divine Power?"

"Mud-to-Stone."

"That's not bad either." Li Zhirui nodded, instantly thinking of a future job for Hugan, but now was not the time to discuss it, so he said, "I'm going back to the cabin to rest. If there's anything you can handle, then take care of it. If not, knock on the door and wake me up."

After securing the cabin, he teleported back into his space—to inform Da Qing and Xiaoqing about what had happened with Hugan and his companions and to check on the Millennium Lifespan Grass!

"You've tamed three more third-order Devil Beasts?" Da Qing frowned, not out of jealousy, but because he felt Li Zhirui was giving out too many Spiritual Objects, slowing down his own cultivation speed.

"Hahaha." Li Zhirui laughed heartily, "I have so much spare land in this space, what's three more Devil Beasts? How could I not afford it?"

Li Zhirui didn't plan to hand Hugan and the other two over to his family. Instead, he would keep them in the space to plant and take care of Spiritual Objects.

But this meant that their chances of going out in the future would be reduced—even eliminated.

Although their lives were controlled by Li Zhirui, that didn't mean they wouldn't betray him. So, for safety's sake, they should just work honestly in the space.

"Since you have a plan, then we'll do as you say," Da Qing conceded after listening.

On the other hand, Xiaoqing, brimming with excitement, shouted, "How strong are they? Will I have a few more sparring partners in the future?"

"Not bad. You can spar with them, but don't take it too far."

In Li Zhirui's opinion, Xiaoqing was no match for Hugan, and Hu Xuan and Hu Mu were evenly matched with her. It would be a good way to burn off some of her abundant energy.

"Is this Jade Box the one containing the Millennium Lifespan Grass?" Da Qing brought out the well-preserved Jade Box and asked curiously.

Xiaoqing also leaned in, eager to see the heaven and earth treasure that could extend one's lifespan.

"Yes." Li Zhirui nodded, opening the Jade Box with some excitement.
