"Taoist Liu, how should we distribute these corpses?" Li Zhirui looked at the bodies scattered all around, a trace of eagerness flickering in his eyes.

Although zombies were disgusting, a single head was worth five Contribution Values, and Wandering Corpses even more. There were at least four thousand corpses here, worth a total of twenty thousand Contribution Values!

Jiang Tianming, a Golden Core cultivator, wasn't interested in such trifles, but they weren't so generous.

"Taoist friend, please take them all," Liu Bo forced a contrived smile and said, "If not for you and the others fighting so hard to hold back, the Great Array would probably have been breached long ago, and we wouldn't have encountered Master Tianming, nor would we have had the chance to seek justice."

Li Zhirui waved his hands in refusal again and again. He wanted a share of the Contribution Values, but he had no intention of keeping them all for himself.

The logs caught fire quickly, but unlike ordinary orange-red flames, these were blackened with surging evil aura and emitted a foul stench.

Nearby, Li Zhirui and the others covered their noses and retreated to a distance.

Shortly after, several plumes of black smoke rose straight into the sky, visible from afar, the strange columns stark against the landscape.

"All of the zombies have been dealt with, so everyone come out!" They only informed the commoners after all the bodies had been completely burned.

This approach also aimed to prevent a scenario where a commoner, seeing their loved one turned into a corpse, impulsively rushed forward, accidentally got scratched, and became infected with the tragedy of the corpse poison.

"Thank you, Immortal Masters, for saving our lives!" An elderly survivor who had narrowly escaped death knelt on the ground, shakily expressing his heartfelt gratitude.

Behind him stood a huge crowd of commoners from Baishan County, and as they shouted in unison, their voices carried for miles, echoing to the heavens.

"Everyone, please get up," Li Zhirui explained, "The one who saved you is Master Mingxuan from Yuanming Sect, not us."

"If not for the Immortal Masters in the sky slaying the zombies, the Defensive Formation would not have held up until that master arrived," a man who had defended against zombies on the city wall said, "You are also our lifesavers!"

It took a while for Li Zhirui and the others to convince them to stand up. Then, they reminded them to clean the streets of Baishan County and to be vigilant. Should anything unusual happen, they were to report it immediately.

In every mortal city, Yuanming Sect had placed a few Qi Cultivation cultivators for the purpose of preventing incidents like the zombie tide; unfortunately, they had not played their expected role.

The cultivators stationed in Baishan County were all dead, and they could only wait for Yuanming Sect to send new ones.

However, with Jiang Tianming stepping forward, Baishan County was much safer than other places.

"Everyone can go back now. The disaster won't last much longer. Just wait patiently for a few more days." With that, Li Zhirui prepared to control the Spirit Boat to ascend and leave.

"Immortal Master, wait! I have a favor to ask!" A man dressed in tattered clothes, with dark skin and carrying a large bow on his back, who appeared to be a hunter, shouted loudly.

Li Zhirui stopped what he was doing, "What do you want to say?"

"I once stumbled upon a valley while hunting in the mountains, where I found several earthworms of particularly large size," the hunter hurriedly said.

"How big?" Li Zhirui showed a hint of interest.

The hunter pondered and said, "I couldn't see very clearly from a distance, but they were at least taller than a grown man!"

"Where is this place? When did you discover it?" Li Zhirui's eyebrows raised. If what he said was true, it must be a type of Earthworm Devil Beast, but he would need to see it with his own eyes to be certain.

"I can lead a few Immortal Masters there, but I wish to ask for an Immortal Pill to cure a sickness from the masters!" The hunter said boldly.

"Cure a sickness?" Li Zhirui was noncommittal but said, "If what you say is true, I can agree to your condition."

"Let's go, you lead the way." Li Zhirui used mana to lift the man onto the Spirit Boat, having the hunter direct them from the front.

However, since the hunter was accustomed to walking on the ground, he became disoriented in the air and for a while couldn't find the route to the valley.

Fortunately, there was a distinctive Feilai Stone near the valley. With the help of this stone, the hunter finally located the valley.

Just one glance at the valley convinced Li Zhirui of the hunter's words. There definitely were Earthworm Devil Beasts present and they had been there for some time.

As for evidence? The several patches of dark, greasy soil in the valley were the most convincing proof.

There aren't few Devil Beasts that can improve soil quality, but Spirit Earthworms are the most commonly encountered.
