Regressor Instruction Manual

Chapter 1095: Woo Hyo-Yeol (2)

‘But why isn’t this jerk waking up?’

I felt like Woo Hyo-Yeol was pretending to be asleep because he was embarrassed.

Perhaps his honor was devastated to the point that he couldn’t even open his eyes.

‘That's understandable.’

He had kicked up such a big fuss, but he ended up getting beaten up to the point that he ended up falling unconscious, so it was only natural for him to feel embarrassed. Of course, he was thick-skinned, but this situation was particularly embarrassing for him.

I thought it would be better to leave for a moment, so I went to the bathroom. When I came out, I heard someone shouting inside the room. They were throwing things to the floor as well.

“Shit!”

I instantly realized what was going on.

Woo Hyo-Yeol had woken up and was throwing stuff in the room to the ground.

‘Was he actually pretending to be asleep out of shame?’

I wasn’t certain, but this timing was just perfect.

“Shit!”

“...”

“Shit! Damn it! Damn it!”

‘I shouldn’t be getting along with irrational people. Damn it.’

I had to let him know that I was here.

“...”

I walked quietly and opened the door to the room.

The room was in a mess. Everything was broken. It was like an arrogant stray dog had made a mess in the house, but this arrogant bastard didn’t seem like he was going to apologize. He even looked at me with hostility.

“What…” Woo Hyo-Yeol mumbled.@@novelbin@@

“...”

“What?! What are you looking at?!” he screamed.

“...”

“Get lost,” Woo Hyo-Yeol said.

He was behaving this way toward me, as he was too embarrassed to face me.

“...”

“...”

“You’re finally awake,” I greeted.

“...”

‘How should I approach this?’

If he were a puppy I had adopted, he would already be wagging his tail, but extreme interest and love were like poison to an injured stray dog. My kindness didn't appear like kindness to me, and he only became even warier of me. Ꞧ𝙖𐌽ổꞖÊŚ

I didn’t say anything, and this probably wasn’t going to help, but I entered the room quietly and started cleaning up his mess.

I kept my distance and acted like I wasn’t really interested in him. It was probably best to let him approach me rather than the other way around. It was a bit embarrassing, but it didn’t take long for his patience to run out.

“Where is that bastard?” Woo Hyo-Yeol asked.

“...”

“I asked you where he is! You creep. Are you deaf?!” Woo Hyo-Yeol screamed.

‘Who told him my nickname?’

One of his subscribers had probably told him about him.

‘He’s definitely a difficult one.’

Templar Gen and Bahamut were easy to deal with because I had an advantage over them as the saint among saints. Taming religious people was easy because I could just skip putting in the effort, but putting in a bit of effort was necessary when it came to taming ordinary people.

Now that I think about it, Kim Hyun-Sung was in the same position as Woo Hyo-Yeol at first. He didn’t trust others and was extremely wary of outsiders.

The difference was that Kim Hyun-Sung was a wolf who had decided to create a pack, while this guy was a stray dog who was refusing to be with a pack.

I managed to tame Hyun-Sung—no, I became his friend with a true friendship and deep connection with him all because he had accepted me into his pack. Regardless of what happened, he would take care of his pack.

‘Should I think of this as a long-term project?’

“Can’t you hear me? Huh?” Woo Hyo-Yeol asked.

I sighed and was quiet for a while.

“...”

“How rude,” I commented.

“Rude or not, just shut up and tell me where that bastard is,” Woo Hyo-Yeol demanded.

“I don’t know, and even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you,” I answered.

Haaa,” Woo Hyo-Yeol sighed.

“You lost. You lost even after you set up that trap, so I don’t think anything will change even if you go to him now,” I told him.

“What did you say?” Woo Hyo-Yeol questioned.

“Weren’t things going your way from beginning to end? From the moment you came to find me to accepting William’s handicap. I don’t know how you know about him, but you knew him and his habits as well as his sword technique. Despite that… you lost, and there’s no excuse for that,” I explained.

“Damn it! What do you know?! That bastard—” Woo Hyo-Yeol shouted.

“His sword technique…” I interrupted.

“...”

“It must've changed or something,” I continued.

And that was when his violent hand grabbed my neck.

He pushed me into a wall, and his eyes were filled with madness as he lifted me up by my neck.

“So it was you,” Woo Hyo-Yeol said.

‘You’re smart.’

“You were behind it,” Woo Hyo-Yeol said.

‘It took him some time… but he finally caught on.’

“You rat… You were the one behind it,” Woo Hyo-Yeol added.

‘At least he’s more quick-witted than Hyun-Sung.’

If I had to give him a score from zero to a hundred points, I'd give him thirty points.

‘Actually…’

Even if he were dumb, he'd definitely realize that there was a variable, as many things had changed compared to his last life. Someone insignificant had appeared and achieved great results in the Beginner's Trial, and he had also somehow encountered William, whom he had yet to meet at this point in his first life.

My score in the tutorial dungeon probably wasn't that important in his eyes. He had to have comforted himself, saying that he hadn't given it his all. Moreover, he knew that I was blessed by the GENIUSES as well.

He was not aware of their identity, but I was sure someone told him that I was getting help and had received some kind of support. He had to have convinced himself that the support I was receiving had allowed me to achieve a great result.

He also probably found it… strange when I started talking to him.

Woo Hyo-Yeol knew William well. It was none of my business whether they had a bad relationship or not, but Woo Hyo-Yeol definitely knew about William's strengths.

‘That wasn't your first encounter with him, right? Right? That’s why you were certain that William hadn’t changed.’

He was convinced that William hadn't changed, but he was proven incorrect. To make matters worse, Will had grown even more powerful despite not showing any signs of that in his past life. The Will he fought wasn’t William but something else.

“...”

I didn’t know what happened before and after that, but I can guess that one of the guys there made an impact. Of course I gave him a hint, but…

“W-Who are you? You bastard,” Woo Hyo-Yeol insulted.

“...”

“Who the hell are you? Why are you suddenly…” Woo Hyo-Yeol paused.

‘He’s the one who came to me first.’

“I…” I paused.

“...”

“I just…” I paused again.

“...”

“I just… heard… someone tell me… to help you,” I said.

He let go of me, and I fell to the ground. After taking deep breaths, I got up as if nothing had happened.

Haa… that’s it,” I sighed.

“...”

“That… was the promise I made. This is all I can tell you,” I told him.

‘I thought he was actually going to break my neck, damn it.’

Unlike Jung Jin-Ho, the psychopathic murderer, Woo Hyo-Yeol wasn't the type to enjoy slaughter. He probably thought that he'd be at a huge disadvantage if he broke my neck just because I annoyed him.

He had a brain, so he could definitely assess the situation.

I was thankful that he hadn't decided to beat me senseless. Had he thought that I was really frail and light the moment he lifted me by my throat? Was he convinced that I would die if he had decided to beat me up?

Or perhaps he had simply lost all his desire to do anything.

“How did you do it?” Woo Hyo-Yeol asked.

“...”

“...”

“Is there a reason you need to know that?” I asked.

“...”

“Actually, let me reword that. Is that important?” I asked.

'You lost, and that’s it.'

“Is it important to know the reason and what method I used? You’re not the only one who specializes in setting things up. Mr. William is a Level 5 swordsman, but you had the advantage with his handicap,” I said.

“...”

“I was caught off guard as well, as I believed that you wouldn’t do something like that,” I paused.

“...”

“Whether I interfered or not, the fact is you lost, Mr. Woo Hyo-Yeol. What if it was just Mr. William? What if he did that on his own?” I questioned.

“Do you know what kind of people I hate the most?” Woo Hyo-Yeol asked.

“...”

“It’s rats like you. You ramble on and on, giving me headaches. You’re all talk, so stop talking bullshit and—-”

'Ha.'

“I’m leaving now,” I told him.

“What? You rat! I’m not done talking yet!” Woo Hyo-Yeol shouted.

“I have no reason to talk to you anymore,” I said.

“You bastard!” Woo Hyo-Yeol yelled.

I got up as if I didn't want him to grab me.

“I’ve done my part, and it seems like we don’t particularly like each other…” I paused.

“...”

“So we should just go our separate ways, Mr. Woo Hyo-Yeol. I won’t get in your way. You’re strong and I’m weak. I would like to add one more thing, and it’s that I’m cheering for you,” I told him.

Saying what I wanted to say and then leaving was a great way to end the conversation.

I didn't answer his question and made him curious with the right amount of bullshit.

I also provoked him while not crossing the line so that he wouldn't have a reason to kill me. I instilled the idea that I wasn’t a true ally, but I wasn’t exactly his enemy either.

Lastly, I glared at him as if I despised people like him.

‘You don’t want things to end this way, right?’

'I'm sure you don’t want our meeting to end this way. You don’t want to end it abruptly like this, right? If we never see each other again, you’ll just end up being frustrated.'

As expected, Woo Hyo-Yeol screamed and swore at me, but the loyal Flower and Fertility Familia members entered the room and stopped him.

Woo Hyo-Yeol was still recovering, and he was just a Level 3 adventurer, so he couldn’t stop me from leaving. I heard the familia members desperately trying to calm Woo Hyo-Yeol down, as they were worried that I—the owner of the familia—would get injured.

‘What can he do to me?’

If things had gone according to his plan, Woo Hyo-Yeol would have wandered the Rohen Continent right after completing the tutorial dungeon and defeating William, but his plan had already been ruined.

Even if that weren't the case, the higher-ups, who had turned him into a regressor, would still not expect him to sit in a month-long training with the other new adventurers.

“So… before the basic training…”

‘There’s no way he'll do that.’

I felt Woo Hyo-Yeol glaring at me from behind.

“Last time, we covered the things you needed to know… to learn more about the Rohen Continent…”

I was at the Beginner’s Academy.

“Trainer Lee Ki-Young… can you answer for us?”

“Sure,” I replied.

Needless to say, I was a model student.
