Chapter 367 - 171 Hassaka: Pierced by Young Master Kael in One Strike (10.2K, 69/76)_4
A knight shouted loudly and instantly transformed into a meteor, charging into the Lord Mansion.
The other knights and mages reacted quickly, rushing in almost within a few breaths.
Accompanied by bursts of spell power sweeping and the booming of spells, after a series of screams, the halfling defensive line at the main gate of the Lord Mansion was torn open.
Jonathan, holding a huge spear with a Gluttonous Slime-formed spiral gun head frantically spinning on it, thrust out just once, and that surging force instantly pushed against the castle’s iron gate, blasting the gate and the transcendents behind it into the castle’s ruins—all within less than a breath’s time.
"Rangers, follow me in!"
As Jonathan led the attack, he charged forward.
The monsters beneath the rangers kicked up clouds of dust with their galloping feet, and the rangers who stormed in began to attack fiercely.
Some halflings couldn’t withstand such humiliation and rushed forward to attack, but they didn’t even get a chance to break through before they were severely wounded by a Slime Sword within three meters of the rangers and fell to the ground.
Some halfling guards tried to block their advance, but unexpectedly, the monsters beneath the rangers suddenly spewed out a burst of Black Flame, scorching the halflings who rolled on the ground clutching their bodies, nearly losing their lives outright.
Jonathan reached into his own slime body, fished out a ball of mucus, and flung it onto one of the halfling guards. The burnt and cracked skin, carbonized in parts, was instantly corroded by the mucus, revealing some ghastly subcutaneous tissue.
Strangely, when the mucus stuck to their skin, it seemed to replace their original skin, covering it.
Gradually, although they still writhed on the ground howling, the originally lethal crisis seemed to halt.

This was one of the few occurrences where the rangers participated in an attack on enemies in a form similar to warfare.
Previously, most of them were responsible for local stationing, patrolling, and clearing of monsters, and comparatively lacked in engagement against human adversaries.
Now fighting, they scored immediate successes, greatly boosting their morale.
At the same time, they couldn’t help but wonder why the guards of these large territories seemed to be weaker than they had anticipated.
But soon they had no time to continue pondering as a crowd surged forward, rushing at the extra-rank guards.
The extra-rank guards tensed up, wanting to break through their encirclement, but with the chaotic swirls of Slime Swords and the collisions against the rangers’ black Armored bodies...
In just a few breaths, the outcome of the battle between the two sides became apparent. @@novelbin@@
Two rangers could besiege a lower-ranked transcendent; three could disarm one, and five pressed down on a middle-ranked transcendent, beating them to the point they couldn’t raise their heads. Once Jonathan and Anuka joined, even the high-rank transcendent, supposedly formidable, were instantly shattered like clay chickens and pottery dogs.
This frenzied team of rangers, dominating wherever they went within the castle, formed corridors of Black Flame in their path.
Despite the halflings shouting slogans trying to counterattack, the outcome was not swayed by their will, as they were instantly divided and precisely struck.
Even amidst the chaos of Black Flame, if someone’s vision was disrupted for a moment, they were instantly brought down by a Slime Sword entwined with Black Flame.
If it were not for their orders from Lord Kael to "prioritize preserving the lives of halfling guards," this would not have been a battle but a massacre.
Suddenly, a high-rank transcendent gleaming with numerous flashes of Magic Radiance gritted his teeth and charged at the crowd, attempting to cut down Jonathan.
However, the moment he jumped from the shadows, enduring the slashes from Black Flame and Slime Sword, and messily reached Jonathan’s side, he saw him pull out a great sword from behind, with eerie luminescence flashing across the black Armored arm.
As an infiltrator, he had thought that with his swift actions, he could evade this attack, but unexpectedly, as the great sword swung down, the speed was so fast he couldn’t react. His body was instantly cleaved in two.
"Warrior, although it’s a futile act... be grateful, for the one allowing you to live is Lord Kael," Jonathan said.
As the halflings despaired, part of Jonathan’s Black Armor suddenly fell to the ground, instantly stitching the twitching, bisected body of the halfling together.
The transcendent halfling, who was practically at death’s door, barely hanging on by a thread, was unexpectedly kept alive.
"Have a mage briefly heal his wounds," Jonathan grunted.
Immediately, an Extraordinary Mage raised his Magic Wand, and a healing spell fell on the transcendent halfling’s body.
The halfling who was on the brink of death thus clung to life.
The mage looked at Jonathan in amazement and said, "What an incredible symbiotic form; is this a new career path spearheaded by Master Kael?"
Jonathan didn’t answer his question, only saying, "Let’s go, the battle continues."
This terrifying group of warriors had already attracted the attention of many within the Lord Mansion, including not only the halflings but also other knights and mages.
It could be said that because of the addition of this new force, the halfling themselves collapsed more quickly than anticipated.
What do you think?
