Chapter 349 [Wedding By Blood] [1] [Force]
The light shone brightly over the Danava Kingdom.
Buildings glowed, and streets were lined with intricate decorations, turning the entire city into something out of a dream.
"They really went all out," I murmured, leaning against the balcony railing, taking in the view.
"They did," Aimar replied beside me, his arms resting lazily on the rail.
Below us, the city pulsed with life.
Laughter and music drifted through the air, blending into the atmosphere.
It barely felt like a wedding—it was more like a grand festival.
A swirl of smoke caught my attention, making me glance at Aimar.
"Want some?" he asked, holding out his cigarette.
"Sure."
I took it from him, inhaling deeply.
The familiar burn filled my lungs, its bitter taste mixing with the cool night air.
Aimar exhaled, watching the smoke dissolve into the sky. "Say… if Oliver were still alive, what would you do?"
I didn't even hesitate. "Kiss him."
Aimar choked on his cigarette.
I smiled, pressing on. "And not just a normal smooch. Full tongue—"
"Shut the fuck up." He shot me a disgusted look. "Stop acting like a dumbass."
I shrugged. "It's not gay if it's your homie—"
"Stop with the excuses," he interrupted again, wrinkling his nose. "Fucking weirdo."
I flipped him off. "Screw you." Then, more seriously, I asked, "Why bring this up?"
Aimar went quiet, shifting his gaze to the empty space beside him.
No one was there, but he stared like he was seeing something I couldn't.
"Just wondering," he muttered. "Wanted to know how you'd react."
I smacked his chest, making him groan. "We'll get him back soon. Don't worry."
"Fuck you, asshole," he grumbled, rubbing the spot where I hit him.
"I miss him," I admitted quietly.
"Me too," Aimar whispered back.
Silence settled between us.
We simply stood there, watching the glowing city below.
"Himmel."
"…Yeah?"
I turned to him, and his expression was oddly serious.
"I need to tell you something."
What do you think?
