Chapter 1499: Fighting The Scarab
Chapter 1499: Fighting The Scarab
-----
Justicio strengthened his body through his Physique's Abilities, and increased his defenses, making hiss kin turn metallic black, taking on the full blow from the rhinoceros' beetle.
CLAAASH!
The rhinoceros blow would have easily pierced most walls from smaller kingdoms, yet Justicio's body only gained a few cracks, but held on just fine.
"Oof, he's super strong! Are you sure he's only Tier 5?!"
"Yeah it says he's Tier 5… Rank 10," said Aquarina with a smile. "I guess you could say it's like almost Tier 6!"
"You should have specified that!" Justicio complained, slamming the ground with his foot and suddenly conjuring a huge spear of stone, surging from beneath the tanky monster.
RUMBLE!
CRASH!
The beetle was lifted off the ground and then fell from the sky, hitting its head into the sand and ending upside down.
"Well you're still handling it pretty well!" Aquarina laughed.
"Let's see if this works though!"
Justicio jumped into the air and then descended, pushing with all his strength and kicking the giant beetle's abdomen, attempting to pierce through it.
CLASH!
The sand beneath them exploded and was sent flying everywhere, as the rocky stone revealed beneath everything started to rapidly shatter into pieces.
Crack, crack…! CRASH!
Large cracks opened through the jungle as the sand started falling from there, the beetle quickly imbued its entire body with Magical Aura, leaping away toward safety.
"Ah, shit!"
Justicio was about to fall to the pit he himself created, only for Aquarina to quickly catch him and lift him up.
"Be careful!"
She threw him right in front of the rhinoceros beetle, who greeted him with a series of powerful thrusting blows with its Magic Aura-enhanced horn!
Justicio barely had time to respond, quickly covering his arms with several layers of stone and receiving the blows.@@novelbin@@
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
His protective stone armor was shattered into pieces instantly, but it helped Justicio mitigate the first blows, before he was to twist his body as he descended, grabbing the horn of the beetle as tightly as possible.
It was so huge his entire body could grab the horn and then, with all his strength, he started pressing, quickly shattering the horn off the beetle with a loud crack!
CRACK!
"KRIEEARGH!"
The insect released an agonizing scream, as it began shaking its body while Justicio gritted his teeth, showing his true nature as a warrior as his eyes glowed bright green.
"I… got you!"
Silvia was blushing as she saw him fighting, breathing heavily.
"Oooh! He can be cool when he wants to, huh?" she laughed, clapping. "You can do it Justicioooo!"
"Yeah he's doing fine… maybe," Aquarina crossed her arms.
"SHYAAEGH!"
The insect started jumping and shaking its body, lifting Justicio and throwing him away before he could use the bug's horn to pierce its exoskeleton.
BAAAM!
As he was slammed into the ground, the bug jumped over him and started hitting him with its sharp claws, trying to tear through his metallic skin and crush his bones.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
"D-Dammit! You damn bug!"
Justicio quickly grabbed one of the bugs legs and broke it, tearing it off its body, then he grabbed another and did the same while his entire body started bleeding already.
"His reinforcement is pretty strong, but not too strong, he's already bleeding…" sighed Aquarina.
"It's because Justicio has always thought he was untalented..." said Silvia. "I mean, his body's not the best when it comes to body cultivation. Maybe that's why he wanted to get this bug caught already and create a Beast Aura like you said. Although people in our tribe absorb monster parts as materials for our physique cultivations, it's not the same as your Beast Auras, which are like living beast, and you can even transform and stuff, right?"
"Yeah, it is a technique that originates from the Skin Changers, Ninhursag taught it to all of us and our parents," nodded Aquarina. "So it's not the same type of transformations then?"
"Nah," Silvia said. "Beast Auras feel like a whole level above what we know!"
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
Justicio continued wrestling with the creature, having tore three of its legs, the beetle could no longer move as it pleased, only crawling with three legs while constantly bleeding.
"SHYEEEGH!"
It kept closing its mandibles, aiming to bite Justicio's body, even when it was already done for.
"You're so resilient…" Justicio said. "I'll finish you off quickly!"
Justicio's fists started growing larger, as he stacked several layers of his medium grade strengthening technique, until his fist became like a block of metal shaped as a fist instead.
"{Black Steel Punch}!"
BAAAM!
With all his strength, he punched through the beetle's head, as bug juice splattered everywhere, the beast, rather gorily, finally perished.
"Phew, finally done…" he sighed in relief. "Aquarina! Do you think this would do?"
"Ah, well, you kind of tore it apart quite a lot, so the quality won't be the best," said Aquarina. "But it could work…"
"Not the best?!" Justicio gasped. "Dammit, was I took rough? How can I properly kill it then?"
"You should have finished it off with a single hit if possible…" said Aquarina. "You're too messy of a fighter!"
"Ah… haha, maybe," Justicio felt a bit embarrassed. "Ugh, I'm all nasty now."
SPLASH!
Aquarina dropped a lot of water over Justicio's body, cleaning him and leaving him completely wet.
"Thanks…"
"Okay then, I'll drag this along," said Aquarina, storing the giant beetle's body parts. "We should still hunt another bug to supplement it, right? Probably of the same species, beetles."
"If you want more beetles, there's rumors of golden dung beetles around the area, right?" wondered Silvia. "We should look after their hideout!"
"Sounds like a plan, let's do that then!" Aquarina said. "Pyuku isn't done yet searching, so we might as well."
The trio quickly explore the jungle some more, as they reached deeper, they found some trees that were covered with crystalized spirit energy.
They were mostly red, orange, and yellow crystals of fire, sand, earth, and sunlight elements, the most abundant of the desertic areas.
"Oh, there's a Spirit Sanctuary here, huh?" Aquarina said. "If we're lucky, we might find a Spirit…"
"A spirit!"
"Really?!"
