Chapter 1532 1532: A Newborn Spirit
-----
"Wha… what the hell is this thing?"
Justicio was left speechless the moment he saw the thing appear out of the particles of light from the insectoid monster he had defeated and absorbed.
This monster, born from the materials used for his Physique and Beast Aura Evolution was something comparable to an artificial Alchemy Spirit, but inside of him.
Therefore, to fully evolve, he had to fight it within his own mind, something that hadn't happened with Sylphy and the rest when they awakened their Physiques and Beast Auras.
This was because this had happened thanks to Aquarian's Shamanic Alchemy Arts, creating such a thing through the Shamanistic Magic that used the concept of the Soul and Spirits into its conjuration and inner workings.
Of course, he never expected there would be a second creature he had to beat, this time, it wasn't anything intimidating though, but a small white colored worm-like larvae, with a golden head and sharp, little mandibles. It had two big green eyes as its only eyes, and it was utterly adorable and chubby, the size of a cat.
"You're… you're a Spirit too?"
The being he had battled was some sort of spirit already, one that was evil and wanted to kill him to take over his body… But this little guy was the complete opposite, too afraid to do anything at all.
Yet he felt some of the familiarity from the one he defeated within it… It wasn't exactly a new being, but the same one he defeated, on its smallest and most weakened form!
"I can assume you're the same, your aura and presence is the same, but much weaker and smaller…"
Justicio carelessly grabbed the worm spirit with his hand, as the creature shook around, trying to free itself from his clutch, then it began biting his arm, but to no avail.
"Chuuh! Chuuh! Kyuuuh!"
"That doesn't even hurt! Wow you're weak now, haha! What happened with being all intimidating before?"
"Chuuuhh…"
The worm sighed in defeat, lowering its head, completely and utterly humiliated. Justicio sighed, looking around and noticing this mind realm thing wasn't over yet.
"Do I need to absorb you to finish the process?"
"Chuueeh?!"
The worm didn't want to be absorbed, pleading for mercy as it moved its little, chunky legs around.
"You're a spirit, right? An artificial one but a spirit nonetheless…" Justicio said.
"Chuu! Chuu!" the worm nodded.
"Then how about we make a contract?" asked Justicio. "We can get out of here alive if we do that… maybe. It's worth giving it a try, right? That way I can finally get a spirit, and you won't have to die and be fully absorbed."
"Chuuuuuuhhh!" the worm instantly became super happy, extending a little golden thread from its artificial spiritual soul and touching the soul of Justicio instantly.
"Eh, wait, let me prepare for this! Uwaah!"
Justicio saw an intense flash of white light encompassing him completely, as he suddenly felt his soul permanently connecting with another, much smaller yet very special one.
FLASH!
And just like that, the contract was formed, and Justicio felt much stronger out of the blue, noticing the great changes on his soul and aura.
"Oh wow… it worked bud!"
"Chuuu!"
The worm jumped over him, licking his face and then sitting over his head.
"I guess it really worked, let's go back now and-"
Before Justicio could say anything, he gasped for air, opening his eyes and realizing things were finally done! His idea actually worked, and he was able to come back after making a contract with the artificial bug spirit.
"Damn, you really changed!"
Suddenly, he was even more startled after hearing Aquarina's voice of surprise, he glanced at her, noticing he had indeed changed, his entire body had changed in fact.
He became at least ten centimeters taller, his body became more muscular and larger, and above all, he gained a golden exoskeleton covering his entire body from head to toe, a bug-shaped armor.
FLUOSH!
And when he stood up, he saw his golden and brown colored aura, transforming into the image of the insect he had defeated before, a gigantic humanoid golden insect with many arms, sharp claws, six crimson eyes, and golden horns.
"Holy shit! By the gods! I-I can't believe this! By the mother earth!" he kept screaming, almost panicking in utter disbelief and happiness, Justicio was having a bit of euphoria. "I-I did it…! No, I MEAN, WE DID IT! AQUARINAAA!"
He ran to hug Aquarina, and she was unable to escape his gigantic arms hugging her, she tried to fight away from the hug, but ultimately sighed, Justicio was like a brother to her right now, so she didn't mind it.
"Yeah, yeah, calm down already! Since when have you been such a crybaby, Justicio? Geez," Aquarina sighed, patting his armored head as Justicio started crying on her shoulders. "It was mostly all thanks to your efforts… But be happy! You've now stepped into another whole realm, you'll never be the same as before, heheh!"
"T-Thank you!" Justicio finally let go of her as he lowered his head to Aquarina. "I owe you so much…!" as he kept weeping, suddenly, Aquarina noticed something emerging from within Justicio's aura.
"Huh? What's that?!"
She gasped in disbelief after seeing the fat, floating white colored larvae worm thingy, she couldn't believe a spirit could look this ugly!
"This is my spirit!" said Justicio. "You see…"
He explained to Aquarina what had happened in fine detail, from the monster he had to fight, to what was left of it, and then what he did to finally finish the process of awakening.
"I-I can't believe it! You're saying I created a Spirit?!" Aquarina gasped. "N-No way, just like Sylphy did before too! …Wait, I remember that Leviathan was also born from the soul of another being infused into an equipment I had. But I thought that was only a singular thing that happened once, and maybe Sylphy had something to do with that, but this is… insane! So Shamanic Alchemy Arts can create spirits and even let you fight them in your mind?!"
"I'm surprised you don't know about your own abilities, Aquarina, but yeah!" Justicio nodded. "You're amazing."
