Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 549 NDA

With his hand wrapped around the slender and smooth waist of Allison, Xu Feng patiently gave his two piece advice that her so-called defense mechanism was laughable when in the face of an expert.

Additionally, he did it to let her understand the severe danger she would be in.

It was done out of goodwill, mainly because Xu Feng didn't wish to see her in harm.

Sure, they might have many discords in his past timeline, but none of them were to the point where they wanted the other person dead. It was just a difference in perspective and views.

And to ensure they don't argue any further, they simply decided not to meet anymore.

As Xu Feng released his grasp on her waist, he explained, "The turret is probably the latest defense mechanism but it's not reliable. I'll help you modify it later on and add some more features."

"Right…" Still somewhat in a daze, Allison nearly looked clueless on the surface. She touched her waist and felt the lingering warmth from Xu Feng's hand, but her main concern wasn't that. Instead, it was that insanely fast ghost-like movement.

'How did he emerge behind me without a sound?' She furrowed her brows, her eyes subtly glancing at the CCTV installed on a nearby roof.

"The camera won't be able to capture anything. The frame rate per second isn't enough."

A voice suddenly echoed, snapping her out of her thought process in trying to view the surveillance footage.

"How did you do it?" Finally, Allison's curiosity peaked at a new height, her eyes practically sparkling.

"Am I not here because I need to tutor you?" In response, Xu Feng clarified his appearance here to her.

The Phantom Step was not some big secret, but it was still a major aspect of this current state. So far, he had taught such movements to Zhao Kai, Ning Yi, and Carmen. These three people were someone he could trust, except Ning Yi still needed to be taught a severe lesson for this farce.

Since that was the case, followed by Allison's sudden appearance in Avalon City— where the security wasn't that great. He might as well teach her some defensive moves and the movement to stay safe.

If one can't avoid something, then one might as well embrace it and push through with it.

Sometime later, the duo entered and there were two gaming capsules just in the living room.

"Were you expecting someone to play along with you?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow and asked curiously.

"Oh no, it was a buy one get one 30% off deal." Allison clasped her hands and explained joyfully. "It was a good bargain, so I would be dumb to not buy two."

"You do realize they raised the original price when doing such a discount deal, right?" Xu Feng twitched his mouth, unsure about how one could feel joyful after getting scammed.

"Yeah, but it's whatever." Allison shrugged and continued, "Either way, it works out for the best since you can directly tutor me from scratch."

What she meant was that if it weren't for an extra gaming capsule, then she wouldn't have decided to bring him to her mansion.

After all, she had done some research that showed that a gaming capsule was vastly superior to the virtual helmet, which had a lower synchronization level.

It might be 1-2% less, but that small percentage was enough to change a player completely.

Think of it as gaming in a setting of 140 FPS(Frame per second) versus a 60 FPS.

However, Allison didn't calculate that Xu Feng also had a gaming capsule in the condo he was renting. It couldn't be blamed though, given that there was no way Allison could track or investigate that he was no longer that poor bumpkin with a bank balance of mere 3K and less.

"Before we begin, let's sign a contract first." Xu Feng cleared his throat and sent her a digital contract. The contract was simple, considering it was an NDA one. NDA as in Non-Disclosure Agreement, stating that Allison must remain tight-lipped on all things she would manage on behalf of the Vanguard Guild.

Allison briefly browsed through the contract and didn't find anything suspicious. Without hesitation, she signed it digitally and stated, "I can even swear upon oath if you want that I won't reveal anything confidential."

"No need. It was just a formality." He shook his head. One of the great things about Allison was the fact that she kept her lips sealed. Even back when they argued and had a fall out, she still refrained from exposing an incident with respect to him.

An incident that was big enough for Xu Feng to start regretting his choices. If it wasn't for this incident, then he wouldn't have started hindering the Reaver Guild's operation slowly bit by bit.

Ultimately, his actions eventually ended up with the other higher-ups displeased with his presence and got discarded like some stray dog. All because he refused to wag his tails like many other previous incidents.@@novelbin@@

"Feng, are you okay?" Suddenly, Allison approached real close to him and waved her hands around.

"Hmm, what's the matter?" A bit surprised that she was so close to him, he kept his cool and asked.

"You look like you were in a daze earlier." Allison breathed a sigh of relief when she found him responsive.

"Oh, I was just thinking what kind of classes do you want to play as." Xu Feng snapped out of his daze and explained that there were more steps than jumping straight to the Divine World.

Oftentimes, there were hasty players who simply wanted to join the Divine World as soon as possible and failed to understand what class actually suited them the most.

By the time they realized it, they knew it was too late to change. After all, to start over meant completely deleting your character and beginning from scratch. Alternate accounts were not allowed.

"I'll have to begin a few interview questions regarding you to determine what you should play as." He clarified, subtly trying to use this chance to understand the current Allison.
