Chapter 580 Eyes
With Zhao Kai and Allison clamoring that Xu Feng was not allowed to remove the casts, he temporarily gave up the notion of persuading them.
"Anyway, why are you here, Kai? Shouldn't you be busy learning business from your sister?" Xu Feng questioned softly.

"You still have the nerve to ask that?" Zhao Kai puffed up in frustration and pointed his fingers at him.
"You were experiencing such a dangerous event and you didn't bother to inform me? Luckily, my sister knows people in the hospital and informed me about your condition."
And now that the tension was somewhat over, almost everyone in the room began to notice that Zhao Kai's attire was something else. His tie was a mess and he was actually wearing slippers despite being in a suit.
"Wait a minute, did you rush over here while in slippers?" Xu Feng chuckled softly, only to end up coughing as a result. His chuckling inadvertently caused a few of his injuries to be agitated.
Without even any of his Energy Force left, it could be said that Xu Feng had returned to his extremely weak and vulnerable state.
Meanwhile, Zhao Kai decided to brush aside the teasing after seeing him cough.
"Okay, stop trying to change the topic and tell me if I can kick these two people out. I doubt you want to see someone related to the Kingston School management." As he said that, his eyes narrowed at Ning Yi— the infamous good-for-nothing son.
"Bruh…" Xu Feng twitched the corner of his mouth and explained, "Are you a two-faced person, Kai?"
"You're the two-faced, with your shrewd and hypocritical behavior!"
"Ning Yi is Stylish Shooter."
"I don't care if he's a Stylish Shooter or No Style Shooter!"
Suddenly, Zhao Kai halted himself and subtly felt the name, Stylish Shooter to be somewhat familiar.
'Where did I hear this name before?' Zhao Kai was positive he had heard it but couldn't remember on the spot.
"Ahem, the large-scale dungeon raid." Xu Feng cleared his throat and dropped a hint.
Instantly, a look of astonishment appeared on Zhao Kai's face as he turned to Ning Yi.
"You're Stylish Shooter of the Vanguard Guild?" He asked with an alarmed tone.
"You've got a problem with that?" Feeling proud, Ning Yi flexed his chonky stomach and smirked coldly.
Who doesn't know the current Vanguard Guild in the Divine World? It was prideful and something to flex about by being a part of the guild.
Zhao Kai was about to reveal his identity in response, but recalled there was still an outsider: Allison.
Although Ning Yi had previously addressed her as Aunt, the fact remained that Xu Feng didn't mention anything about her. By that logic, it meant that Allison didn't know who Xu Feng's real identity or in-game name was.
Meanwhile, as if he had anticipated such a reaction, Xu Feng lightly said, "Don't worry, Allison here knows I'm Cool Wind, an honorary elder of the Vanguard Guild."
Realization quickly dawned upon Zhao Kai. He nodded his head and extended his hand to Ning Yi, startling the latter in response.
"What are you up to?" Ning Yi asked suspiciously.
"I'm Shadow Blade, you little punk. To think I even shared a lot of equipment with you and advised you before. Are you now trying to pretend you don't know me?"
Almost as if his brain had been short-circuited, Ning Yi's eyes started circling around. Shortly after, Ning Yi got confirmation from Xu Feng that Zhao Kai was indeed Shadow Blade, his attitude also underwent a change.
"Haha, people say that you don't know each other unless you battled first. The statement stands true." Ning Yi laughed heartily and shook hands with Zhao Kai.
And within a few minutes, the two started to sit in a corner and began talking about what they couldn't finish back then due to the interruption from Lethal Corp.
The person who was most stupefied by the change was Allison.
"How did they go from trying to cut each other's throat to friendly conversation?" She twitched the corner of her mouth and asked in disbelief.
What surprised her the most was that Zhao Kai was Shadow Blade— the supposed Guild Commander of the Vanguard Guild.
She happened to meet with two of the higher-ups in the Vanguard Guild in the real world. Just learning this information was worth a lot, but she no longer had any desire to reveal this kind of intel anymore.
While Zhao Kai and Ning Yi were distracted, and immersed in their conversation, Allison gazed at Xu Feng with a bittersweet smile.@@novelbin@@
"Your friend, Zhao Kai, wasn't wrong in his statement earlier. You are indeed very shrewd." She took a seat and said lightly.
"What do you mean?" Feigning innocence and ignorance, Xu Feng tilted his head.
"You revealed both your in-game name to me and practically forced me to keep quiet." Allison breathed out a soft sigh. If she were to reveal the matter to anyone, then she would be painted as the most ungrateful person ever.
"I never forced people though." Still keeping a cheeky smile, Xu Feng refused to accept such slandering. He never employed slaves, only willing workers who wanted to work.
Forcing people to do things would always backfire. Only through manipulation and schemes to make the others do his bidding willingly while giving them no choice could ensure success.
It might not look much different at a glance, but the truth was that these two were indeed miles apart, especially with how the outcome would become.
Shaking her head, Allison decided to ask the question that had been troubling her mind since the incident. "Whatever, but can you tell me why you went so far to risk your life for me? I doubt you were falling in love with me or wanting me to be head over heels for you by protecting me."
She had seen the eyes of love, lust, desire, and even possession from many people, but she somehow could never tell what kind of eyes Xu Feng was showing. It was tranquil and serene, almost as if it wasn't bothered by any external or internal factors.
What do you think?
