As the atmosphere turned tense from Xu Feng's unscathed appearance and subsequent reversal of the situation, Evelyn realized she had lost this particular battle. 

She never planned on underestimating Xu Feng once, but in the end, she still lost her emotion due to his repeated taunts. 

Maybe if those low-level taunts were done by others, it might not have worked. But for those taunts to come from a supposed reputed Honorary Elder of a famous guild—it was quite the shocker. 

Although the Vanguard Guild was still considered an upstart guild by many at the top, for the common and average players, it was already considered a famous guild. 

Of course, those on the top also noticed their prosperity and potential, but it was precisely so that many wanted them to fall. Such a thought process was extremely common.

Those who became famous and rose so fast, but had no foundation or background—were destined to be targeted. The only reason it hadn't started all out was because they were still hesitant and wary of a possible strong backer behind the scenes. 

After all, who would believe that an upstart guild held the power and determination to provoke not just one or two upper powers, but numerous. 

"I admit that you are strong and I couldn't stop you." Evelyn calmly said. 

"But let me warn you that you shouldn't do anything further and let the matter end here. It wouldn't do good for you or your guild any longer to pick a fight with those you don't know." She continued. 

Meanwhile, Xu Feng suddenly laughed humorously in response. 

"Haha, that should be my words to you." Xu Feng then sneered. 

In the next instant, he wielded his staff and entrapped the two. "Also, this matter isn't over. You best pray that whoever is behind you starts grinding and improving. Otherwise, when I come knocking on your door in the future, there won't even be anyone left." 

Having said that, Evelyn sensed a foreboding danger and attempted to teleport away. Alas, her teleport failed and it appeared that she was skill locked, unable to cast anything.

"Damn it, I can't even use the item." Trapped alongside her was Xavier, who attempted to use a ragged scroll to shatter the 

"Hey, you can't be seriously trying to kill me as well, right?" Alarmed, Evelyn couldn't believe Xu Feng would dare to make a move on her as well.

"I'm not the same as the Vegan Life Guild." She added, reminding him that her identity was special.

"Yeah, I know. You're from a different plane and someone involved with the ambush plan." Xu Feng nodded and stated.

"If you know, then killing me would only escalate the matter."

"So what?" Suddenly, Xu Feng's bloodlust increased as he retrieved multiple grenades. 

"You people are really funny. You came here, killed my people, and then expect me to let you go after you lost? What do you think this is? A fucking drama or movie where the useless protagonist always allows the villains to escape until near the end?" He snorted coldly and hurled multiple grenades over to them. 

Evelyn's eyes flashed before her life as the grenades soon exploded. Her health bar quickly dropped to zero and her lifeless body plopped to the ground. 

Some pieces of her equipment also dropped as a result, and one of them happened to be an Epic Grade rarity. 

The Epic Grade was an accessory necklace-type called Twilight Locket. 

'Hmm, this can be used for Carmen.' Xu Feng snatched it up and stored it in his inventory without hesitation. 

As for Evelyn and Xavier, he didn't even bat an eyelid and merely laid another formation trap. So long as they decide to respawn on the spot, they shall be obliterated again. 

However, the second he was about to enter the city's gate, the explosion occurred twice.

The abnormal thing was that it wasn't consistent and it took some minutes to explode the second time. 

'Hoh, who's the sacrificial lamb?' Amused, Xu Feng had no choice but to return to the scene. Although time was of the essence, leaving an enemy alone—especially a leader's type, would be ridiculously foolish. 

Sure enough, he witnessed Xavier's corpse being blasted far away to another side whereas Evelyn remained unharmed as she consumed a high-quality health recovery potion.

Upon meeting eye to eye, Evelyn's expression turned annoyed. 

"You really are not a gentleman. To be so damn ruthless and even rob a woman's items." She clicked her tongue and hissed. 

"Gender equality." Xu Feng spat back. 

Just because he had yet to ruthlessly thrash a female player before didn't mean he was lenient toward them. It was just that there had yet to be a female player who had provoked and enraged him enough to incur a ruthless retaliation. 

With how cold-hearted Xu Feng behaved, Evelyn was more frustrated than ever. 

"Hmph, I'll remember this debt." She stomped her foot on the ground and made her exit speech. Alas, just when she wanted to leave or use her teleport, she found herself trapped. 

"Damn it, when did you set another trap?" She shouted furiously, having realized she had stumbled across another trap. 

Prior to her resurrection, she had already told Xavier to revive twice to trigger the formation and ensure her safety. 

After all, she had personally seen Xu Feng laying formation on the deceased players, clearly not letting them revive on the spot.

Although her quick mindset paid off, she didn't anticipate Xu Feng to be spendthrift enough to lay more traps. 

Such formations and traps were definitely extremely costly. 

And Evelyn would be right.

Each formation cost Xu Feng a whopping 50 gold coins to set up. The value didn't even take into account the cost of the required materials.

"Are you seriously burning money just to get back at us?" Evelyn cursed and tried to distract him. In the meantime, she secretly attempted to negate the trap. 

Alas, Xu Feng didn't even bother to entertain her and straight up hurled another Frost Grenade right to her face.

"Goodbye." He commented and another beautiful cloud of smoke appeared.
