Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 817: An Exchange Bout

As soon as Xu Feng brought up Qin Xiaobo's mom, the atmosphere went from grim to worse. Insulting was fine, but never bring up a person's mother or father.

That was the surefire way of declaring war with no plan of backing down.

Even Veronica was slightly taken aback by Xu Feng's insult. She hurriedly rushed toward him and tugged on his sleeve.

"Are you sure you really want to provoke him that much?" She asked in a low but subtle tone.

She believed that Xu Feng was skillful, given that he was able to defend her immediately. She still didn't wish to see him go into an all-out brawl for something like that.

However, what Veronica failed to perceive was that Xu Feng had been itching to test his current limit.

Qin Xiaobo—this was a name not unfamiliar to him. In the past timeline, he had heard some great things about him in the Fighting Events.

Now that the opportunity presented itself, he would be rude to not take the chance to have a fight.

A few seconds later, when everyone thought Qin Xiaobo would explode on the spot, he suddenly exhaled softly.

"So you wanted to fight me on purpose." His eyes stared deeply at Xu Feng.

Most people tend to mistake him as a hothead, and he would never bother to correct their bias and mindset. After all, there was an advantage to letting people think he was a hothead.

With a hothead as a label, Qin Xiaobo could easily take advantage of them and hit them when they least expect it. It was all a facade to mislead his opponents. Therefore, Qin Xiaobo was certain that the person in front of him wanted to provoke him into a fight.

Although he wasn't certain why they chose to do so, Qin Xiaobo wouldn't be called a fighter if he were to back down from it.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng responded to his question with a fighting stance on his own. He then gestured with his hand, signaling for Qin Xiaobo to come at him.

When Qin Xiaobo noticed the fighting stance, he realized the person was serious. Their eyes alone showed that they wouldn't back down from a fight.

'Very well, let's see which city managed to train you to such a level.' Despite Xu Feng's appearance not resembling much of a fighter, Qin Xiaobo wouldn't dare to underestimate the former.

He assumed his fighting stance as well and began gathering his Energy Force.

"Don't blame me if you become hospitalized for months." Qin Xiaobo warned solemnly.

"I don't think you should be worrying about me. I'm a straight man after all." Xu Feng sneered, not wasting any chance to taunt the latter.

Sure enough, Qin Xiaobo exhaled deeply and narrowed his eyes. Without bothering to speak any further, he kicked the ground and instantly appeared in front of Xu Feng.

His right hand was raised slightly up, clearly showing a hook punch.

However, Xu Feng smirked at such an obvious feint attack.

'Does he take me for a fool?' He wondered silently.

At first glance, it appeared to be a hook punch. But Qin Xiaobo's minimal body movement indicated that he would change the punch type at the last second.

Sure enough, when the punch seemed to be connecting to Xu Feng, his arm suddenly lowered marginally and it became a cross punch.

To change from a hook to a cross yet retain the same power—no, actually an increase of power was certainly impressive.

Alas, it was just a pity for Qin Xiaobo. Despite the flawless action, Xu Feng knew how to counter such a tactic. With a subtle shift of his foot, he altered his body angle and dodged the cross punch.

However, that wasn't the end, granted he also raised his left leg infused with Energy Force and swung it in a powerful arc toward Qin Xiaobo's abdomen.

Alarmed, Qin Xiaobo reacted immediately and retracted his hands. He braced Xu Feng's upcoming kick with the back of his forearm to absorb and minimize the impact.

Despite its intention, the impact was immediate. Xu Feng's Energy Force-infused kick crashed against Qin Xiaobo's forearm, sending a jolting force through his entire arm.

Even though he had managed to block in time, the sheer power behind the strike forced him to skid backward, his feet dragging against the ground as he struggled to absorb the momentum.

In the first exchange between them, it became evident who was superior in the usage of Energy Force and fighting moves. What appeared to be a simple fight was actually filled with in-depth motion and analysis.

The aftermath of the ground beneath Qin Xiaobo was clear enough to depict the picture. The ground had a few rubbles and cracks, which goes to show how heavy the kick was that caused Qin Xiaobo to be forced backward.

Not to mention, there were clear bruise marks on his outer forearms.

'Excellent control of his body part, Energy Force utilization, and reaction speed. Where did this kind of monster come from?' Qin Xiaobo was astonished by Xu Feng's skill. His evaluation of the latter was on par with the fighters at his level.

Yet such a person actually remained unknown to him. That was unbelievable.

As a fighter who focused his entire life on fighting, he always made sure to know all of his opponents—especially those in the top ranking. With Xu Feng's skill, Qin Xiaobo would be damned if he had forgotten about him.

Therefore, only one explanation was possible. The man in front of him had just emerged at present. In that case, Qin Xiaobo needed to re-evaluate the participants in Lumora City.

"For a fighter with your skill, the city would be blessed to have you representing them." Qin Xiaobo took a deep breath and acknowledged his skill. As much as he wished to continue the fight, he couldn't afford to risk injuries prior to the actual competition.

Naturally, he felt extremely bitter and regretful about not being able to continue.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng lightly mused when he noticed his expression. "Well, you probably wanted to fight but couldn't. So how about joining my guild in the Divine World? We can fight without holding back there."
