The man’s presence was formidable, his mere sitting there made the entire space feel oppressively small.
His dark eyes fixed on her like sharp arrows, as if trying to see right through her.
Ming Yao sighed inwardly; she had always disliked trouble, and she knew Gu Siting would interrogate her after she treated Mu Chengjin at the Mu Family residence.
Of course, from his perspective, she did indeed appear suspicious.
“Fourth Master, my medical skills are only superficial, it truly was just a coincidence. Using that to make money is hardly possible for me,” she said.

“Having a boyfriend, you shouldn’t show favor to other men.”

Ming Yao froze for a few seconds before reacting and chasing after him. Looking at the tall and aloof figure of the man, she said indignantly, “Fourth Master, what do you take me for? A fickle woman who flirts with every man she sees?”
“Especially since Young Master Mu is your good buddy, and I am your servant, that’s all the more reason I helped him!”
Ming Yao pursed her lips tightly, her nostrils flaring as she embodied the ultimate image of a wronged little maid.
“Fourth Master, it seems you have many complaints against me. If you find me displeasing, you can fire me right now!”

He had only given her a warning, yet she had come back at him with several complaints.

His nature had always been cold, hard, and dominant; he never bowed his head easily to anyone, let alone apologized.
He had already made an exception by apologizing to her once. Could it be that she wanted him to apologize to her again?
Was this little maid starting to overstep her boundaries?
