Chapter 95: Chapter 95: He’s Only Worth a Coin, Not a Penny More
Gu Siting had a dream, a preposterous and unreal dream.
The woman in his arms was unreasonably soft, her thousands of long hairs strewn across the pillow; her little face flushed with a rosy tide, strikingly beautiful and bewitching, like a seductive demon.
Her hands clasped around his neck, her beautiful eyes misted with water, her voice soft and coquettish, “Husband, would you be willing to be my antidote?”
Her eyes, pure and innocent like a deer’s, at that moment seemed to hold only his existence.
The large palm on her waist tightened, and it felt as if a tiny insect was gnawing at his heart.
She took the initiative to tilt her little face upward, kissing his chin, then moved to his thin lips.
His mind grew increasingly muddled and heavy, unable to distinguish between dream and reality. Was this a dream or was it real?
The moment she kissed his thin lips, he bit her in return and growled lowly, “Don’t you fucking regret it!”
In the dimly lit room, two figures intertwined with each other.
The night breeze fluttered the curtains, and Little Snowball lay by the window. Seeing the master and mistress’s fingers slowly entwining inside the room, Little Snowball meowed and quickly scampered away.
…
The next day.
At the break of dawn, Ming Yao opened her eyes.
Having just awakened, her mind was still a bit foggy; she stared at the ceiling, zoning out for quite a while.
Not until she felt extreme discomfort in her body did her memory start to flow back slowly.
Did she have a fling with Tyrant Gu last night?
Ming Yao quickly turned her head to glance at the man behind her.@@novelbin@@
He hadn’t woken up yet. After a night’s rest, light stubble had appeared on his usually clean-cut jaw. His sleeping face shed the usual sharpness and coldness, revealing an undefended elegance.
Ming Yao glanced at his chest, then hurriedly withdrew her gaze.
A stampede of ten thousand grass-mud horses thundered through her heart.
She threw off the covers and got out of bed.
The moment her feet touched the floor, she gasped in pain.
Tyrant Gu indeed, who was the antidote for whom last night?
Damn it, he had not an ounce of mercy!
Ming Yao’s fingers trembled as she picked up her clothes from the floor, quickly dressed, and then looked back at the man on the bed.
Had it not been for his usefulness to her, she would have slapped him twice.
Was there a single good patch of skin left on her?
Ming Yao bit down on her teeth and took out a coin from her bag, placing it on the bedside table.
Given his performance last night, even giving him a coin was more than generous!
Enduring the discomfort, Ming Yao left the master bedroom.
Not long after Ming Yao had left, Gu Siting woke up.
The curtains had been blown open by the wind outside, revealing the dawning sky, while a touch of chill seeped through the slightly open window.
Gu Siting furrowed his brows tightly; the dream from last night was too vivid, and even as he slept, he remained in a haze.
He raised his long fingers and pressed them against his forehead, annoyed with himself for having such a dream.
But as soon as his fingertip touched his forehead, it halted.
He threw back the covers and looked at himself.
Not a stitch on him.
He then quickly turned to look at the spot beside him. Even though the woman was no longer there, the spot beside him showed signs of having been slept in, and the pillow still held some warmth.
Gu Siting abruptly sat up on the bed, the silk quilt falling from his body revealing his strong and fit chest as well as his well-defined abs, faintly marked with several scratches.
Gu Siting looked once more at the spot beside him, and upon spotting that hint of dark red, blood seemed to stop flowing through his veins.
Outside the window, the world was quiet, filled only with the varied depths of his own breathing.
Did he actually sleep with that woman last night?
Had he gone mad?
