Her good mood from the call, however, disappeared the next second when she saw a face she didn’t want to see at all, and the smile on her lips instantly retracted.

Adam Jones naturally heard Elly Campbell on the phone and saw the different expressions on her face before and after she saw him, which only added to his already sour mood.

Not wanting Adam Jones to know about the existence of her son, Elly Campbell quickly hung up the call, stepped around him, and prepared to leave.
