RISE OF THE HOLY DEMONIC GOD

Ch 82: The Missing Black Ring.

As the ring came into Rey's hand, something unexpected happened. The ring began to change, its plain silver color turning into pure black. Even the crystal embedded in it changed from white to black, unnoticeable unless touched.

Before they could recover from the shock of this transformation, another surprising event occurred. The mysterious-looking ring started to float and dismantle itself. With single movement, all its particles were absorbed into Rey's hand.

"Hah~~~!" was the only sound that escaped the mouths of Rey, Aiden, and Victor as Zero displayed her from the screen.

"WHAT THE HELL," he shouted, checking every corner of his body to see where the ring had gone, even pressing the area where it had entered, but there was no sign of it.

Victor, who controlled the lower body, scanned Rey's entire body with his manipulation skill, but found no trace of the ring with his blood. It was not in his hand, chest, heart, or brain. All vital areas were clear and showed nothing suspicious.

Aiden also rechecked the brain area, ensuring Victor had not missed anything. Zero examined the outer muscle area but found nothing.

"Where should we check now? I think it may have some powerful high-grade concealing magic to avoid detection," Victor said. Aiden, lost in thought, snapped out of his daze and agreed.

"Oh--oh yes, you're right. Rey, go and sleep. We will talk about it tomorrow," Aiden said. Rey, still confused, nodded and went to sleep after changing his clothes, as he was slightly smelly from sweat.

The trio retreated into the white room to rest, pondering the ring when suddenly something came up.

Which they didn't expect to be in that space.

Aiden, who had just felt the item, grinned as it was something beyond their knowledge too after finding it appearing here.

He then snapped his fingers, and Rey's consciousness, which had been sleeping, entered the white room.

"Huh, what now, another fighting session? But I'm not in the mood for it," Rey said as he found him here in this place again after which he was about to get up, knowing that Aiden wouldn't listen to him. However, Aiden didn't say anything; he just pointed at the door that had formed on one side of the room which he found quiet seen before.

"Go and open it. There is someone who wishes to meet you," Aiden said quietly. Rey didn't understand but started to move toward the door. To his surprise, a knocking sound began to come repeatedly from it.

/Knock/ /Knock/ /Knock/ /Knock/ /Knock/~~~~

Rey, who was about to open the door, stopped and looked back to see if there any kind of prank going on.

"Are you playing some prank on me? We all know that only you all and I can be present here, so why would someone be here to meet me?" Rey asked as he stepped back, ready to face whatever was coming.

Aiden, seeing Rey getting overly cautious, sighed and quickly opened the door, stepping back a few steps away from the middle of Rey and the gate.

Rey, ready to dodge anything, saw nothing but the darkness that had always been there.

Just he found nothing suspicious and let his guard down, he said, "Hah, I knew it, you were just pulling a prank on me, right?" Before he could move to close the door, something shot toward him at very high speed from the darkness brimming outside.

Rey tried to move back, but he was too slow.

Something hit him straight in the stomach. He fell to the ground and wanted to move away and looked at the trio to see if they were going to help him but to his surprise, they were just standing there like nothing had happened.

"Oi, help me." He shouted as he was struggling to dodge the attack from the silent hidden attacker.

"But why would we? Can't you see what is attacking you right now?" Aiden said, as Rey found it quite obvious. He looked at the item and also got a shocking expression, as the thing which disappeared a few minutes ago in the real world was now in front of him with nothing but a significant aura around it.

It was like a mad bull raging over something trivial.

As it rushed at Rey without any more wait, Rey, who wasn't able to even react, was getting beaten up left and right without any reason.

Even after that, no one came to help him like they didn't care. But what Rey didn't expect was that even though he was getting beaten up, something was changing in the ring, the aura around it with every hit was getting transferred into him.

Rey's soul, which was transparently white and a few other colors, was getting a darkish color on it.

The aura was affecting his soul by mutating it into something else. It was going on until something about the ring changed like its mood changed in the last few seconds. As it obediently came in front of his hand and automatically wore itself on his left hand. But not with a physical form, but like embedded into his very soul. But Rey who was lying on the ground wasn't able to see the things as he was already went unconscious after the beating as even his soul goes back to his previous looking simple like back then, but the changes were still present there as Aiden can still feel and see them.

The ring, in which area where it was placed turned into something like it had always been there.

All three of them looked at him lying with a beaten body and face.

Rey, who woke up after a few seconds, looked ready to defend himself as he didn't wish to get beaten, but no ring was there anymore.

He just breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Victor pointing toward his left hand with a smug face as the thing, he saw was very difficult to believe. The thing which was beating him just a few minutes ago was now resting his hand like a normal ring.

He tried to pull it out, but to his dismay, the ring he thought was on his finger wasn't even within his grasp. He felt as if he was touching his finger and nothing else. As it just become a part of his skin finger like have been always.

"What the hell am I trapped with now?" he shouted after trying every method to remove it.

Exhausted, he eventually gave up, realizing he couldn't cut his finger off over a brutal, bullying ring. He hoped it wouldn't torment him any further perhaps.

But it was just his assumption, as after more failed attempts to remove the ring, Rey grew tired and decided to let it, going to sleep as the night quickly passed.

Morning arrived with new hope and belief for everyone, but perhaps not for Rey, as what he saw upon waking was horrifying.

What he found on his body was...
