Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 219 Dark Pillar 26th Floor Boss

Receiving death threats from Aaron, the three groups chose to comply. It was based on the great power Aaron had, a power that could have easily killed them.

Not a few of them felt sorry, upset, and angry that Aaron acted as he pleased just because he had more power than the people in that place. However, that was what happened. Those who are weak can only argue and complain, those who are strong rule with their strength.

Slowly, they left Aaron alone in the floor boss area. The boss room door was open, not a single mage stepped out as usual. That signaled they had died miserably at the hands of the monsters.

Bodies were scattered on the floor, blood pooled endlessly and monsters in the form of large centipedes crawled freely in the boss room. The pungent odor of the animal could even be clearly smelled outside the room.

As the progress of challenging the boss was complete, the door closed for a moment and revealed another panel on the door wall. Aaron stepped closer and found out exactly what the countdown panel meant.

[Countdown to Boss Challenge Readiness]

[00:00:29:59]

It was a panel to notify anyone, whether Aaron or another mage, about the boss room being restored. It was common that if a floor boss finished being challenged, whether the monster won or lost, the countdown remained the same.

Even so, the registration panel still functioned clearly. Aaron placed his right palm on the surface of the fingerprint sensor detection panel.

Aaron's fingerprint was detected properly, displaying a detail panel to confirm the identity of the floor boss challenger.

[Boss Floor Challenge]

[Registration successful]

[Solo Name: Aaron Lewis]

[Challenge: Red-footed Centipede]

[WARNING!]

[The solo taking the challenge cannot retreat]

[The solo can leave only once the boss is dead]

[Take the challenge?]

[Yes] [No]

After confirming his identity was correct, Aaron pressed the floor boss challenge confirmation menu. His name was listed as the next boss challenger. He could do it right when the countdown was over.

[Floor boss challenge confirmation accepted]

[Floor boss challenge will be performed after the countdown ends]

[Boss challenge readiness countdown]

[00:00:12:45]

Aaron nodded, feeling happy with the information. His eyes glanced to the side, asking Aerith to return to the Dark Dimension.@@novelbin@@

"You won't be able to enter. I signed up as a solo, not a team," Aaron replied. Find exclusive stories on My Virtual Library Empire

"I see, just like when I did it in the 25th floor raid, right?"

The man beside Aerith cleared his throat, refocusing his eyes forward. In another place, Aerith had cut through a dimensional boundary line and revealed a dimensional rift of her own.

From the appearance of that thing, Aerith stepped slowly into that place until she fully arrived at the Dark Dimension.

"Red-footed Centipede? How strong is that disgusting monster really?" asked Aaron, curious.

After waiting for about 10 minutes, Aaron saw the dark pillar gate open clearly. The floor space area was very clean and there were no blood stains, pooled blood, or any organs.

Aaron stepped inside, only a few steps into the boss room, another panel appeared describing the details of the monster before him.

[Monster Details]

[Monster: Red-footed Centipede]

[Level: 158]

[HP: 175000/175000]

[MP: 185000/185000]

[Element: Earth]

Aaron stopped his steps. He raised his head and saw that the centipede's eyes were bright red, its red legs seemed to be oozing a musty smelling greenish liquid.

From its mouth, it sprayed a jet of acidic liquid forward with the intention of melting Aaron's bones and burning his skin. However, Aaron easily dodged it until he was fully behind the centipede.

Dimensional rifts appeared in the sky, Aerith's figure stepped out and stood tall on the floor of the sky, watching the disgusting monster that had always made her nauseous.

"I've always hated centipedes!" snapped Aerith.

Her hand rose up, revealing a large, maroon fireball above her right palm. The sight startled Aaron and the centipede monster, the monster turned around and turned its head, clearly seeing the power of the maroon flames.

"Die!" shouted Aerith, swinging her hand up and down to send the maroon fireball crashing straight towards the centipede monster.

Aaron was shocked. With such power, Aerith would kill the centipede in one crushing blow. The Red Legged Centipede also looked very tempted to attack upwards, defeating the maroon fireball and killing Aerith.

BOM!

The explosion occurred and was inevitable, creating an explosion ball that floated above the ceiling of the floor boss room.

Aaron clucked his tongue, too late for him to resist the maroon fireball attack from Aerith.

[Monster Details]

[Monster: Red-footed Centipede]

[Level: 158]

[HP: 0/175000] [-350000]

[MP: 185000/185000]

[Element: Earth]

In one attack, Aerith completely defeated the centipede monster, even though that woman was not registered in the floor boss challenge system. Would Aaron get the reward? I don't know.

But what was certain was that the red-footed centipede couldn't last much longer. The monster disintegrated with its body torn apart, a rain of thick, musty-smelling green liquid decorating the floor boss room.

Aaron raised his hand to keep the disgusting liquid from getting on his body. Aerith seemed to be doing the same. Before long, the acid rain was over and the two stopped the magic umbrella.

The man reflexively flew up to Aerith. There were several things Aaron was going to ask, the most important of which was why Aerith had killed that monster.

"You defeated it in one attack. That gives you the last hit," Aaron replied.

"I'm sorry, Aaron. I got carried away. That centipede was really disgusting. I couldn't bear to attack it," Aerith said.

Aaron sighed with both hands around his waist. It had been 5 minutes since the death of the floor boss, but there was no information panel about experience rewards and so on. However, the centipede monster was still in a state of scattered death.

[CONGRATULATIONS!]

[You have successfully completed the Dark Pillar's boss challenge]

[The next floor of Dark Pillar Tower has been unlocked]

[Floor Access Privilege: 27]

[Want to go to the next floor?]

[Yes] [No]

'We did kill it, but since Aerith doesn't have an individual system, it made the reward go wrong," Aaron said.

'That's okay. The important thing is that the floor boss has been defeated and the next floor has been unlocked,' Aaron said.

The two of them were still flying above the sky of the floor boss room. From the side, the door to the room opened and the three groups that Aaron kicked out earlier returned with their shocked faces.

Initially, they thought Aaron would be defeated easily due to the quick duration of the fight. However, reality spoke differently.

The door opened and the centipede monster was dead, leaving Aaron and Aerith to fly steadily out of the boss room.

"Can you beat him?" asked one of the captains, still in shock.

"Of course. It's not a big deal to me."

Aaron pressed the teleportation confirmation menu, and another panel appeared to inform the countdown of teleportation between floors according to the confirmation from the host.

[Teleportation to the next floor confirmed]

[Destination: 27th]

[Initiate teleportation to destination:]

[00:00:04:59]

The man and Aerith landed right in front of them. He told Aerith to return to the Dark Dimension and reappear when they were on the 27th floor, she understood what he was saying.

Dimensional rifts appeared, surprising them because dimensional abilities were fairly rare among other mages. However, Aerith could do it as easily as if she was cutting a paper with a sharp knife.

After saying goodbye, Aerith stepped back inside and left Aaron alone in that place.

Three more minutes before the teleportation was actually done, the three captains walked up to Aaron to ask about the centipede monster's weakness. However, Aaron couldn't answer them.

"I don't know. I didn't have time to fight it," Aaron said.

"Didn't have time to fight it? Don't joke around. We all saw you and that woman step out from inside the floor boss room," replied the captain of the yellow uniform group.

[Teleportation to the next floor confirmed]

[Destination: 27th]

[Initiate teleportation to destination:]

[00:00:00:03]

[00:00:00:02]

[00:00:00:01]

[Teleportation initiated!]

Aaron's light shone brightly in a dazzling blue light, people from all three groups realized what the blue light was, a sign of teleportation in progress for those who successfully challenged the floor boss.

Slowly, Aaron's body turned transparent and disappeared into tiny particles. Within ten seconds later, Aaron's figure had completely gone from that place to the next floor, the 27th floor.

There wasn't any sensation whenever Aaron teleported between time, either using the light stone or after fighting the floor boss.

His eyes opened slowly, he found himself in front of the stone of light with no one present near the Dark Pillar door.

"Hmm... looks like the Dark Pillar hasn't opened on this floor for today," Aaron said.

The Dimensional Rift reappeared, not on the side or in the sky, but right in front of Aaron. Aerith stepped out and smiled, witnessing the quiet atmosphere in the place.

"Where is everyone?" asked Aerith.

Aaron shook his head. He had just arrived at the place and hadn't yet moved his feet to explore the area.

"I don't know."
