Chapter 221 Seafood Restaurant

***

The Next Day.

The City of Sky Sword 27th.

Since today, the monster raid in Dark Pillar didn't open, Aaron extended the duration of his stay at the inn to the next four days.

Although he had only reached the 26th floor, but Aaron was pretty confident that the monster raid would open in the next four days.

To kill some time, Aaron decided to take a walk in the town center. The downside of this place was that there was no town guild office, while the cathedral was —taken care of directly by the 27th Sky Sword group.

Despite this, Aaron did not feel disappointed. A line of shops selling souvenirs and supplies filled the main street of the city.

Aerith stopped and pointed to a seafood restaurant, it was pretty clear that Aerith had a good idea of what to expect.

Aerith stopped and pointed to a seafood restaurant, it was pretty interesting to find a restaurant that served seafood.

"Shall we eat there first, Aaron?" asked Aerith.

"Seafood? Are you sure? There's no sea in the Dark Pillar Tower," Aaron said, finding it impossible that there was a sea in this tower.@@novelbin@@

"That's what you didn't know, sir."

Someone startled Aaron and Aerith. The voice came from behind and stepped nonchalantly between the two.

She was a 15-year-old girl, wearing a black T-shirt and gray trousers, as well as a tanned apron.

Her hair was long and tied in a ponytail. She explained that she was a staff member of the seafood restaurant, they got their ingredients from the sea on the 35th floor.

'So, is there really a sea here? How does the ecosystem form in this place?' Aaron asked, curious.

The girl introduced herself as Ulfah. She invited Aaron and Aerith to step inside the restaurant, as she believed there was an empty table on the second floor for the two of them.

They stepped inside. They were surprised to see that it wasn't just Aaron and Aerith who had come to visit, but there were many people eating their food at their own tables.

Some ordered bowls of fish soup, fried fish, chili crab, and boiled lobster. They ate with appetite as if they had missed seafood.

Ulfah invites them to step up to the second floor, where there are empty tables not yet occupied by other visitors. Compared to downstairs, there were five people dining on the second floor.

Aaron and Aerith sat at one of the tables, where a menu with the dishes available at the restaurant was presented. Aaron nodded.

Since both of them were not used to seafood, they decided to choose the same dish, fish soup. Ulfah took the order and stepped downstairs.

"Interesting place," Aerith complimented.

"Why did you choose this place? Aren't there many restaurants that serve a more diverse range of food?" Aaron asked.

"I was just wondering how you humans eat animals other than chicken, beef, or lamb. Fish is something new, of course," Aerith replied.

Aaron sighed. He explained to Aerith that to eat fish, one needs to be very careful, because there are fish spines that will feel uncomfortable if swallowed.

Despite this explanation, Aerith still held firm to her stance. She still wanted to taste the flavor of prepared fish. Aaron sighed, he would help Aerith separate the fish meat from the fish spines.

The soup they ordered arrived. Feeling tempting in both of their eyes, Aerith couldn't even bear to eat the fish slowly, according to what Aaron advised.

At first, Aaron thought Aerith would need his help. However, her eyes were much more careful than he was. She was able to find some spines in the fish meat and separated them onto a tissue.

"Eating fish like this will take a lot of time. Am I right?" asked Aerith.

"It is, but that's the sensation of eating fish, the enjoyment of each meat and the precision in eating it," Aaron replied.

They finished eating the fish soup. To Aaron's surprise, he saw Aerith adding to the fish soup until she had finished seven bowls of fish soup. Aerith seemed to favor fish over other meats.

"Make yourself comfortable, Aerith," Aaron says, Aerith nods with her mouth full of food.

Just as Aaron was waiting for Aerith to finish with her food, the two faintly heard a shout coming from downstairs. It sounded like an argument between a man and a woman.

"I ordered boiled lobster, but why did you give me a rotten one?!" snapped the man, Ulfah was heard breaking up the argument.

Aerith innocently looked back, precisely towards the restaurant's stairs that led to the downstairs. The woman asked what kind of trouble was going on there.

"It's nothing. You can continue eating the fish," Aaron stated, trying to calm Aerith down so that she wouldn't be distracted while eating it.

Suddenly, the man emitted a powerful magic aura that shook the walls of the restaurant and broke the window panes, knocking over the wall hangings and sending the other customers into a panic.

They scattered to leave the place, Aaron didn't feel threatened. He still waited until Aerith finished eating her meal.

"I want to enjoy this a little longer. Can you handle him for a moment?" asked Aerith, showing one fish that was not completely finished.

"Me?" asked Aaron.

"Yes. Are you going to finish this one for me?" asked Aerith, holding out the fish.

Aaron shook his head, making it clear that he had had enough of the single serving of fish soup.

The man sighed as he nodded slowly, understanding Aerith's order. He got up from his seat at the dining table, striding over as he told Aerith that he would be quick in resolving this matter. Aerith responded by clearing her throat.

She stepped down and saw two women —one of them Ulfah— kneeling in surrender before the man who appeared with his magic aura. Aaron's arrival in that place surprised the three people.

"What's wrong? Don't interfere with my problems if you don't want to get hurt!" asserted the man, haughtily smiling with an intimidating grin at the two women before him.

"I ask you to stop your magic aura. My girlfriend is disturbed in her eating," Aaron explained.

"HAHA!"

"It's up to me whether I want to use this magic aura or not. You're not Sky Sword, you have no right to stop me!" he snapped, pointing at Aaron.

"I don't want to do this," Aaron stated as he stepped up and took off the fedora hat he was wearing, "But you're leaving me no choice."

Just before the fedora fell to the floor, Aaron took a lightning step towards the man and choked him firmly. The arrogant man gasped, the fedora hat was able to hide Aaron's strength.

"Y-You... your strength is so—"

BLAST!

Without thinking, Aaron grabbed the man's neck causing his neck to shatter and blood to pool on the place. His head was violently severed, his body and head falling to the floor of their restaurant.

Realizing the floor of the restaurant became stained. Aaron swung his hand and burned all the remains of the man.

Purple flames burned brightly in the place, turning the man's body into ashes and the blood dried up and evaporated. Things returned to the normal situation, except for Aaron who got the red title.

Aaron reached out and grabbed the man's soul essence. Not wanting to extract it right away, he kept it in his storage.

"T-Thank you for your help, sir," expressed the middle-aged woman, Ulfah Mother.

The man took the fedora hat back and put it on, then walked up to the second floor, "Bring another fish soup upstairs."
